Jonk rushes forward to encourage Billeck, but the marksman tries to take a more pacifistic route attempting to calm the wild creature. Enson and Aysu try negotiating with the Chimeran, but their arguments leave the black-market buyer unconvinced. Chanting and manipulating the Æther on Jonk's shoulder, the frog sorcerer casts his spell once more and this time manages to gently soothe the monster. "What business is the Archivists', is my business as well. There must be consequences for such brash actions!" A scorching light emanates from the Chimeran's hand as Aysu begins to feel her skin peeling from the radiation burns. The pain is overwhelming as she slips into unconsciousness. Jonk tries to remain as still as possible, his head spinning as his emotions begin to stabilize themselves. Wollipog jumps on the celestial's shoulder to provide protection as Enson dashes out of range of the hostile creature and recovers from his wounds. Aysu tries to sooth the beast, but the Phejharan Gold Feather eyes the markswoman with suspicion and lashes out with its hooves, striking her. Enson's secure position is short lived as the Chimeran casts anther spell, dragging the Quo'ri in between it and the monster. Billeck fires off a shot at the Daraki and scores a direct hit even as his wounds get the better of him and he passes out, unstable. Jonk downs the golden pill. The world around him seems to slow down and he feels a vigor in his body that emboldens him with seemingly limitless power. The celestial fires off three rapid blaster shots at the Daraki with deadly accuracy. The effect is short lived however and Jonk's spirits come crashing down, paralyzing him with doubt, fear, and abject dread. Enson follows up Jonk's assault with swipes from his own weapon but is unable to land a strike. Thankfully Aysu lays down cover fire, further wounding the thug as Billeck scores a hit on the Chimeran. Wollipog begins to disable the central chamber as the the cooling units are quickly disabled. The Daraki thug downs a Crescendo of his own and attempts to down the Quo'ri, but his aim proves poor and Enson easily dodges most of the shots. The Chimeran, seemingly annoyed at Billeck's attack, unleashes a power radiation spell upon the fighter who begins to burn from the searing heat. The creature in the middle of the room quickly thaws and begins to stir. Golden appendages lining its body shine with a brilliance even as its ebony skin flutters with an almost intangible appearance. With a mighty kick of its hooves, the revived monster shatters its glass enclosure and looks to attack the nearest foe. "Sod, do you have any idea what you just let loose?" Enson Perception Check (Lucky) (DC3) - (6,5,2) (4,1,1) 2 Successes Enson knocks on the walls but isn't able to find any percievable difference between them. Jonk Stealth Check vs. ??? Perception Check - (3,5,1,+1) 2 Successes vs. 2 Successes = Success! The Celestial quietly nudges the central door in the entryway. Peering through the crack, Jonk can see a very large hall with several dispaly cases and exhibits. Before he opens the door all the way, he can hear muffled conversations from farther in the room.

The prints while present in the room do not show a pattern to be followed. MM Note: Basically Enson sees at least 3 distinct pairs of prints, but there is not a clear path to any of them. The grated ceiling looks the same as in the other rooms and is likely too high to be accessed easily.

Jonk loosens the top of the trunk as a cloud of dust errupts in his face. Unfortunately it only contains old linens. Enson Perception Check (Lucky) (DC1,3) - (2,6,6) (2,1,5) 2 Successes The Quo'ri moves to examine the floor and while he doesn't find evidence of a trap door, he does note at least 3 sets of distinct foot prints in areas of dust around the room.

The clutter around the dormatory is extensive and may take several individuals to wade through. Sifting through the wreckage, the Quo'ri finds a scrap of the dwarve's tunic indicating he was in the room at some point.

Enson Coding Proficiency (DC 1,3) - (5,2,3) 1 Success The Quo'ri tries a number of codes on the red holopad and finds success with "1-2-3". Digging through the files, Enson discovers that it belonged to the Amourai, Rycard. The contents seem to be mainly personal reading material, however there is a calandar reminder to clean out a display cell on sublevel 2 weekly, otherwise the toxic gas may create an explosion hazard. The purple holopad remains locked and Enson is unable to figure out the passcode.

Chicken Leg (Consumable, Grants +2 Temporary Vitality*, Perishable†) Baguette (Consumable, Grants +1 Temporary Vitality, Perishable) *Temporary Vitality is not true Vitality. It represents a buffer against damage. Temporary Vitality is lost first when injured and any leftover damage is carried over to your normal Vitality. Temporary Vitality does not stack, if you gain Temporary Vitality from multiple sources, you simply take the higher of the numbers. Temporary Vitality cannot be restored via healing or potions. †Perishable items expire at the end of either the current Mission or if not currently on a Mission at the end of one's next Mission.

MM Note: Understandable, I'll consider that for the future builds. I'll ensure to label things clearly so there hopefully isn't confusion. Enson moves out of the storage closet and back into the entryway. The Quo'ri makes for the door on the left of the entryway and finds a mess hall (entering from the door on the right in the picture below). Drinking glasses and partially cooked food are littered about the room and a closed door straight ahead (on the left in the picture below) leads further into the hideout.
