  1. QM Note: I'll run this as soon as Dyric specifies his target. Chromeknight, you are not equipping the shackles, correct?
  2. "If yer in need of bowman, ya can count me in as well. Could do with a trip out east."
  3. "Hmmm. Sorry to hear that. I assume ya'll be sendin' out a rescue party?"
  4. This was a very entertaining game to watch! The presentation was excellent and it was great to observe a new set of players participating. Mostlytechnic and Psykater, I was really rooting for you and hoping you'd pull off a town victory, but the Black Mesa did well at staying just out of suspicion to secure the victory, good job any way.
  5. Skrall made his way through the thickening crowd. He gave a low whistle at the gleaming horde of treasure acquired by the returned questers. "Quite the haul, but then again ya've all been gone fer quite a spell."
  6. Jebediah's Quest 12 had "shrinking sickness" that was basically this.
  7. Mynatt from quest 11?
  8. QM Notes: If the war pig sacrifices itself that will count in your favor and the shackles would prevent all enemies from fleeing, but would not prevent the food from spoiling. However you will need to spend a turn equipping the shackles to yourself, Chormeknight, in order for them to be effective.

  10. "Hmmm nope don't think so. I could at least make a pie out of these wolpertingers it sounds like though. Most of the patrons here are decent folks. The faun on the third floor is quite the womanizer so your elf maiden should look out, but other than him, most of them are pretty placid. Oh and if you're interested in something from my pantry, perhaps you'd be up for a little cooking challenge? I could use a few hands for a couple of minutes."
  11. "Can't say I've seen anything scamperin' around here that hasn't ended up in the pot. And unless you're stayin' here at the inn, I'm afraid no free samples."
  12. "A wolper-what? Why, do you want me to cook one?"
  13. The party heads into the kitchen where they are greeted by a somewhat familiar looking cyclops. "Hello, hello, hello."
  14. That's what I'm thinking. Small seemingly abandoned manor home just outside Eubric, 3 battles, a puzzle or two, and an interesting story twist.
  15. Yay! So I'll be at Brickworld Chicago this year. Unfortunately due to my working schedule though I'll only be able to go on the public days (Saturday and Sunday). Is there any interest in participating in a quest at the convention? I've got a quest idea in mind, but it would be good to make sure we can get 4-6 players before I start building for it.
  16. "Ah, well yes then that would be agreeable I think. As to the room amounts: 201: 3600 Gold 202: 200 Gold 203: 400 Gold 301: 500 Gold 305: 120 Gold Pent House: 300 Gold
  17. "I'm sure we've got some apples in the kitchen my good Paladin. And yes Ms. Elf, I think Master Hinckwell would be satisfied with the back paid rent, if you can get it from them, however I don't think a security deposit of future payments would be as acceptable to him."
  18. "I've always observed the fellow in 203 to be broad shouldered, so he might put up a fight should it come to that. Other than him, most of the tenants shouldn't be any issue. Concerning this wolpertinger, I wasn't even aware we had any in these parts."
  19. "Wonderful. Well now, let's see there's the cleric in Room 202, the chap in 203 ducks through his window to go out in order to avoid seeing me, and then there's the widow in 201 who by the books records hasn't payed for nearly 3 years! And that's just the 2nd floor! Room 301 is occupied by a faun who's had several extensions on his payment and has failed to make restitution, Room 305 is on a short term lease and hasn't stopped by in at the desk in over a week, and then there's the gentleman in the pent house who's about 2 months behind in his rent." The halfling rolled out two maps. "If my master was still around he would have seen all these villains out without the bat of an eyelash. I think just because the cat's now gone, the mice think that they can play. Well Mr. Hinckwell means business, so if you have any trouble don't be afraid to use some force. Also, if you get the chance, there's two fellows in the basement working on the furnace. They've been down there for quite awhile so if you could check on them that would excellent, the stairs are through the kitchen." "Are there any further questions I can answer for you?"
  20. "Hhhah hhhhes. Hhhhwwwould hhhhou hhhhine hhhhhaking hhhhhome hhhhhof hhhhhese hhhhackages?" Dyric helps the halfling remove some of the luggage. "That's better. Yes, I sent to Mr. Hinckwell about acquiring some help in removing some of the tenants. I take it you are the chaps that Sash picked out. You have had some experience in dealing with rough individuals I assume?"
  21. The heroes make their way inside the inn leaving Cronk to consult with the Ziegfried mage. "Hhhannnn hhhhhi hhhhellllf hou?"
  22. "I'm sure Benedict Greely can be found inside. I see you must be from Heroica, only a group so well armed and of such various backgrounds would be standing in the middle of the street on such a fine day seeming to be going nowhere. Is that Mr. Cronk I see? It seems like it's been an age since you last visited Ziegfried Manor, my good orc." The red cloaked man extends his hand to Cronk. "Hello, I'm afraid I don't know this Mr. Greely you are referring to. I'm sure if you found one of the local merchants or traders, they could point you in the right direction. They do seem to know everyone in this sprawling city."
  23. Figs are generally the very first thing I start with for a quest, they definitely help establish the tone of a setting I feel and can even take a story in a whole new unexpected direction.
