In the future simply characterize it as Yelana internally considering the information as opposed to relying on a "sense/technology" to interpret it, it can be difficult to interpret what the action you're trying to take is.   6. MM Note: I'll grant you the Technology check for composition. Insight is more about detecting motives of people or your own gut feeling. Hearing things correctly would still be Perception. Aid can be given for proficiency checks, but you have to come up with a strategy for doing it. For example, you can help someone climb over a wall by giving them a boost up. It requires a lower proficiency check, but it can add to their overall dice pool. Yelana Technology Proficiency Check (DC 3) - (3,2,4) 1 Success As Yelana inspects the cube further she is unable to identify its composition. The cuboidal structure is surrounded by a glass composite that somewhat masks the internal workings of the device/substance/thing.

The glow is very noticeable and pulsates every five seconds or so. As she places her ear near the cube, she can just make out some extremely faint sonic frequencies in a very irregular pattern.

As the pair draw near they can see that tar has been applied to the vehicle and surrounding area and then lit on fire. Upon closer inspection the person jerks mechanically, their face still buried in the snow. Enson reaches out to heal the person but finds his spell has no effect. Flipping the body over the pair are surprised to see a desiccated corpse dressed in ill fitting gear a rope tied to their ankle buried in the snow. With a shout several insectoid figures nearby unbury themselves from the snow and rush toward Enson and Polaris! After numerous escape attempts, the heroes disperse the O'Kor'uk's duplicates before finally killing the agent just as he makes to jump from the train. "Well, it was a good run..."   16. Sorry, old habit of thinking of roles. But I agree, I think it'll be more help than clutter. While you and I and a few others are intimately aware of each class's niche, I don't think the general player will be, so whatever we can do to help folks not need to wade through a bunch of content unless they want to, the better.
  17. Agreed, I'm making slides for each similar to the library. I was thinking about trying to color categorize them by certain roles to help people who know they want to play a certain mechanical style without having to read every single class. Thoughts? I figure if people want to play a certain theme, like a nature magic user, it'll be easy to just find 'Druid', but if people want to play a high "DPS" or "defender" type role they may not know where to start.

Heading eastward the landscape shifts from snowy drifts to rocky clefts covered with snow. Ahead a mountain range looms to the north, its peaks touching the low hanging clouds. The sled easily glides over the snow and ice, the team of sled wyrms working like a well oiled machine, with everyone bundled up tight, one might describe the ride as peaceful. After a few hours of travel however a thin line of black smoke begins to curl up over the horizon. "Well that's a bit peculiar. We heading over to take a look, or skirting around? Shouldn't be any encampments this near the Pass." The Blackguard agent tries one last gambit and teleports out of the Elf's grasp, preparing to throw himself out of the train.
