1) How many Mafia games have you played here? 8 2) What's your favorite emoticon to use during Mafia? Probably this one 3) Is there anything you would change about this design? Does one side seem under powered? I'm with Hinck in that I want to spend a little more time going through everything and will get back to you. From a cursory glance, while the rules are all laid out there in a straightforward matter, it seems like there is a ton of different variables and complications, not sure yet which ones I suggest changing though.

4 year degree in engineering, now it's on to a real life full of work and Lego! Concerning NPC's, I only keep the current ones I'm using for a quest put together and then disassemble them to contribute towards more fig barfing for future quests.

Nerwen tries to disassemble the armchair sitting down, but is distracted by the furniture's comfort finding herself bound to her seat. Cronk does not fair well in taking on the grinning box and retreats as the mimic deals the paladin a nasty toothy bite. Dyric knocks 7 arrows to his bow quickly impaling the treasure chest and armchair on his shots and scooping up a fair amount of gold falling from the cracks and crannies of the furniture. The brown book and cabinet take advantage of the distracted heroes and deal damage to both Xander and Nerwen, the latter suffering from a heavy beating. THE BATTLE CONTINUES! Cronk doesn't drink Meads, although he has given us a roleplaying reason. If a player wants to handicap themselves, then that is their decision, not everybody may be happy with their decision, but it's their decision, regardless of roleplaying. I actually think it would be interesting if everyone played with some sort of handicap in some form or fashion. For instance, Skrall is afraid of confined spaces, perhaps he'd be afraid at the start of every battle in such a location just to add to the realism. Of course these things would be only at the players consent and they don't necessarily have to be status affected, but I really think it would be cool.

I don't think it would be considered wasteful, just poor judgement on Skrall's part. Poor judgement is part of life, heroes aren't perfect so I don't think we should play them as such. Regarding selfishness, remember just because a character is selfish doesn't mean the player is (take Boomingham for example being stiff on loot division to orcs). Role-playing against a party takes many forms and there is a spectrum, and some should be allowed other-wise we all be playing as pure as paladins (not Boomingham). The trick, as with all things, is balance. Wasting a consunsumable is fine in my book and worth the roleplaying opportunity it affords, turning against your entire party more or less (sorry Flipz), without a really really good setup is toeing my line at least, if not crossing it. All ofbe us have different game styles and game priorities, for some it's the roleplay, for others it's the strategy, others puzzles, others just the social interaction, and yes sometimes there will be a little conflict between us, but we try to keep an open mind and say to ourselves, "hey, that person is doing something a way that they enjoy, even though it's a small inconvenience to me, I'd rather enjoy their enjoyment than spoil it just to satisfy my playing style."
