  1. Depends how you read it, I guess. You'll note though that I didn't defend Dufa but merely said that his tactic has been used so many times in the past that's it's pretty much meaningless as a scum-tell or a townie-tell at this point. But that's all yesterday when we didn't have anything to go aside from comparing behaviors to past performances. What's more important is taking what we do know today and acting upon it.
  2. Ah, I though you were talking about today which also occurred on post 47. Looking back though, you didn't make the connection that Helga was also of the same opinion?
  3. It's simple. Sigrid is generally not active (consistent with what we've seen so far), however inactivity can easily mask scumminess since the suspect never has an opportunity to slip up or implicate fellow scum mates. Wilhalm on the other hand is generally not active either (consistent on the first day but not today), however his uncharacteristic activity has seemed off (i.e. the "saying a lot but not really saying anything"). Activity can also mask scumminess, but it is a lot harder to pull off in the long run and eventually mistakes are made or in this case as some are claiming, already has been made. I'll say if Wilhalm is scum he's eventually going to slip up if he continues his level of contributions. It's impossible to tell one way or the other with Sigrid however because he isn't saying anything. I was hesitant the other day about his behavior, because it seemed like his usual style, but his practical non-existence today makes me think he warrants a little more attention.
  4. A last minute ditch to pile votes can equally mean the town wants a lynch to figure draw some conclusions from, so thus a scum would want to do so in order to look like an Einherjar. It's all WIFOM. First day lynches are notoriously bad and most people that vote for them generally don't get too much suspicion due to everyone being in the same boat of lack-of-evidence, thus scum usually don't have much to be worried about jumping on a bandwagon. You mentioned me and Dufa earlier, I'm not quite following your connection.
  5. The sharkling piped up from tending his fishing pole. "Indeed tis grim for those who can not swim."
  6. The votes made against Wilhalm were repeatedly discouraged on by Helga and Dufa due to Wilhalm's previous playstyle, I considered those votes made after that argument part of the "confused group", matter of opinion. I'm not saying you quickly voted for Wilhalm, I'm saying you quickly changed your vote at the end of the day after putting it on what Godfried has termed an "easy" target. Concerning my voting habits, if you'll look the Mist bandwagon was generating steam because it was one of the strong instances of suspicious behavior we had seen thus far and I felt it warented my vote. 5th vote by the way is hardly ever considered either scummy or townie, so I'm not sure what conclusions you want to draw from that. If Sigrid is a servant of Loki, then yes his fellow servants would want to tie up the vote, however if you'll note my change, it was done toward the later half of the day. If I had wanted to try and get an innocent townie lynched I would have switched my vote from Mist long before that. However from a perspective that could equally assume Sigrid was equally innocent as he was guilty yesterday, looking at the two candidates I decided Petr was the more suspicious and worthy of the lynch as I explained in my post voting for him.
  7. My mistake on the editing side of things.
  8. I think our best bet for today, barring any sort of night action result, will be figuring out what happened with the voting yesterday taking the 5 dead allegiances into account specifically as they apply to the three top candidates: Mist, Petr, and Sigrid. I believe Finn and Rurik have both offered good starting analysis thus far, but I wanted to add something that I noticed Naemr: Snorta (unvotes to secure a lynch), Dagstyrr (unovtes to secure lynch) Wilhalm: Turmi (Convinced to unvote by Helga and Dufa), Kolgrima, Lefsi (unvotes to secure a lynch) Mist had 5 original votes: Dufa (starts accusation, convinced to unvote by Mist,), Helga (In agreement with Dufa, unvotes to ensure a lynch), Chlodochar (unvotes to secure lynch), Wary (In agreement with Chlodochar, unvotes to secure a lynch), Rurik (unvotes to secure a lynch), Sigrid (convinced to unvote by Jarni) Jarni: Finn (Starts accusation, unvotes to secure a lynch) Petr: Naemir (Starts accusation), Jarni, Mursi, Helga, Canute, Rurik, Godfried, Lefsi, Wary, Patrekr, Dagstyrr, Chlodochar Kolgrima: Gofraid (Starts accusation, unvotes to secure a lynch) Chlodochar: Turmi (unvotes to secure a lynch) Lefsi: Dufa (agrees with Godfried on suspicion, unvotes to ensure a lynch), Patrekr (agrees with Dufa and Godfried, unvotes to secure a lynch) Sigrid: Petr, Baulf, Dufa (votes to secure a lynch), Snorta, Finn, Turmi, Wilhalm, Mist, Patrekr (unvotes because too many suspicious people are voting for Sigrid) Toward the end of the day, everyone started bailing to either of the two candidates Petr or Sigrid. Let's assume that both Sigrid and Petr are innocent (the latter we know for a fact), then the servants of Loki more than likely wouldn't care who was lynched. As Sigrid had the lead at one point in votes we could assume that any remaining servants of Loki would have jumped on that bandwagon unless we suspect 4 of the first 6 votes to be composed of scum attempting an early rushed vote, which seems highly unlikely to me. Now if we flip the coin and assume Sigrid is indeed a servant of Loki and again assume that 4 of the first 6 votes against him are highly unlikely to be bussing scum then it makes perfect sense to see a bandwagon form on Petr. After all if those first 6 votes on Sigrid were placed by innocents (2 of which we know were) then that leaves approximately 5 scum to take out a different suspect and keep suspicion off of Sigrid. If we look at the last votes cast after the tie with Sigrid (Godfried, Lefsi, myself, Patrekr, Dagstyrr, and Chlodochar), 3 of those were made after swiftly unvoting another suspect whom they had respectively accused on tangent accusations (a generally scummy tactic) (Godfried, Lefsi, and Dagstyrr). Of those three, Dagstyrr had commented very little and his tangential vote was made during the end of the day (something I believe a scum would have avoided seeing how close they were to getting an innocent lynched), Lefsi who had fallen in with the crowd who were confused by Wilhalm's playstyle, and Godfried who placed a safe vote against a now confirmed Kolgrima accusing her of placing a scummy vote on Wilhalm when there were other easier suspects to accuse i.e. Mist or Petr. Of the three I'm most suspicious of Godfried at this point.
  9. The sheep shuddered uncomfortably under Baradock's petting before lowering it's head and ramming it into the barbarian's skull, Stunning him. <Buuuuu!> Baradok Segul Cannari(Cryos) *Stunned* Level 4 Barbarian Power Bonus: 0 Defense: 2 Health: 10/10 Gold: 250 Equipment: Calcified Club (WP: 5, Earth-Elemental) Light Armor (SP:2) Inventory: Potion x3, Remedy, Phenoix Essence, Blind Fury (Causes enemy to become Blinded and Enraged), Smelling Salts, Starter Halberd (WP:3), Doppel Vial "Hey there, don't go damaging the merchandise."
  10. The werelion chuckles for an uncomfortably long time at Purpearl's first comment, flexing his claws in and out. "You're optimism's the give away. The sea is a merciless hunter of those who dare skirt upon her face. She shares no pleasantries no matter what the weather may be doing above her." The sheep nuzzles Cinna's hands enjoying the attention. <Baaaa.>
  11. The sheep the werelion had been trying to coral dodges away as the werelion turns distractedly to Purpearl. "Bisma and I guess it's a good day if you say so, but I'd imagine your type always thinks that. First time at sea I'm guessing?"
  12. "Hee, hee, hee, you can't fill a stomach with kindness though. No as I said, I don't have room for folks that are just going to be lounging around. I'm not in the business of running a charity here." "Hmm, hmm, hmm, well out on the high seas there's always the chance of runnin' into something nasty. Bisma, he's the werelion over there, assured me his fellows could handle any bit of trouble we might come across, but seein' as how you're needing a ride in that direction anyways, can't see how a little extra steel won't come in handy. Welcome aboard." The gnome leads the party on board the barge, shooing sheep into the hold as he went. Atticus Scrinshaw stood waving on the dock as the Susanna cast off. "Eh, good luck heroes. Oh, bid Borris and his troupe hello from me." Soon the ship was out of port and heading north up the coastline of Uland, a steady breeze at their back . "Splendid, splendid, splendid, seems we caught the tide after all. Feel free to set your stuff in the hold as long as you don't have a wool allergy, like poor Grimmau." The gnome gestured to the werewolf steering the vessel who seemed to have a clothespin fastened on his snout. "We should be in the high kingdoms in about a week's time or so if the winds are favorable. You'll have to sleep on deck with the crew I'm afraid since we're a little crowded, but the ship is yours to walk about, though I do ask that you knock to enter my cabin."
  13. A werecrocodile pushes through the crowded heroes and onto the boat, a terrified sheep tucked underneath each arm. "Watch it, ya land lubbers."
  14. Atticus soon returns with a rather put off look on his face. "Um, so it appears my associate was not able to book you passage on the Magpie. Erm, seems we were a little late in getting here and she was already filled to the brim with heroes. Oh, not to worry though, I think I might have a lead on another option." The scarecrow leads the party down the dock a ways to a long barge shaped vessel. Flocks upon flocks of sheep are being loaded on board by a variety of werebeasts. A short gnome stands next to the gangplank. "My, my, my, there sure is a lot of you! This scarecrow here is telling me you folks need a ride to the High Kingdoms." "Ah, this is Mr. Finn. He's transporting a load of livestock over to the mainland and happens to be one of the only ships left traveling to the far northern regions." "Yes, yes, yes, indeed! Maiden voyage of the Susanna, just got myself a crew this morning and we're getting ready to cast off. Can't say we really have any room for passengers though." "Oh, but these folks are from Heroica and I'm sure in addition to the sum of gold we discussed, they could serve some purpose upon your ship." "Well, well, well, perhaps they may, perhaps they might not. All I know is I can't afford to have any dead weight on my lovely." A situation requiring tact seems to have presented itself, how shall the heroes reply? 15. "Ah, here he is. You all finish up your swapping and I'll see how my man is coming along with your passage. He should have been back from the Magpie by now..." The scarecrow departs for a moment to seek out his fellow businessman.
  16. "Oh, I had thought there were 6 of you. Hah, glad you could join us little fellow." The scarecrow paused. "Um, I think that only leaves the Yeti."
  17. Nothing really to add past what I've already stated. I'm more given to believe that Sigrid is acting like he usually does when he is innocent and that lynching him wouldn't yield us very much to analyze afterwards except a bunch of bandwagon votes and his what, three statements?
  18. I'm still not convinced by Mist and his last comment seems to be composed of telling everyone why he doesn't think anyone deserves a vote at this point and then hops on the bandwagon for Sigrid. The speed at which that bandwagon grew as opposed to some of the previous ones has me worried and even if we're right about it, I'd suspect that most of servants of Loki would have jumped aboard that train making it really difficult to discern anything about allegiances given the scarcity of Sigrid's posts. If Sigrid's an Einherjar, like Mursi implied, we're pretty much going to be in same position tomorrow as we are today. Since we won't be learning anything without a lynch today and considering that we'd get more from a Petr lynch, I'll unvote: Mist (Mencot) and vote: Petr Half-Troll (Piratedave84), though begrudgingly.
  19. The scarecrow blinked at Baradok, or at least the equivalent for a being with buttons for eyes. "Eh? Oh, the High Kingdoms. Um, should take but a week or so, depending if my fellow can secure you passage on one of the faster vessels." The scarecrow looked over his shoulder at one of the other docks presumably looking for his fellow employee before turning back to Purpearl. "Ah, I wouldn't say I so much work for Borris. Erm, I'm his booking agent here on the Free Islands. Uh, not quite sure about the troupe's touring schedules in the High Kingdoms, but you should be meeting them in the small village of Nerstew, a bit north of Duplovia.
  20. Actually I can't. If either Sandy or one of the Mod's could fix the title to read: Heroica RPG - Quest #90: A Trip to the Circus I would be most appreciative.
  21. "Oh, the name is Scrinshaw, Atticus Scrinshaw"
  22. The city of Eubric bustled with life as the heroes made their way down to the harbor. The crowds were a mash of the familiar everyday faces and the new travelers that had come to seek their fortune in the famed port. The scarecrow hurried along ahead of the heroes stopping at on one of the crowded docks. "Ah, are we missing anyone? You can take a minute to catch your breath. One of my employees is seeing about booking you passage to the High Kindoms." 23. My agreement was more with Chlodochar's reasoning, not Jarni's hence why I voiced my support with him. Jarni brought up the comparison of Mist's actions to a previous individual, which I agree is a good analogy, but the more damnable evidence to me was Mist's reaction. I'm more surprised that there hasn't been any real thrust behind what some people are terming a bandwagon even though it only had 5 votes. If it were a bandwagon on an innocent Einherjar, I would have expected the servants of Loki to jump all over it. Considering that it has fizzled, makes me wonder if we might have caught one and his compatriots are trying to keep the fire off of him by bringing up other issues.
