  1. "Yep, I was there with 'em. Yes, went rather awfully. Ya've hit the nail right on the proverbial head, why are we traipsing all about the wide world when there's plenty of issues to take care 'round here. Take that nasty bein' that just strode in here not a moment ago, security in this place should've been such that he was dropped dead in an instant." Skrall took another pull from his tankard. "Can't say I ever heard of Zylstra, but makes sense that there's as many people livin' under the ground as there are livin' above it, Nu Mercution, rings a bell though. I ain't much one for tiny spaces though, don't know if I'd even fit in such a place as that. So are ya some sort of gnome, wrapped under all those bandages?"
  2. Thalion and Heckz both manage to rather awkwardly step onto the snowflake portal at the same time. Both sorcerers vanish and find themselves, as Pretzel did, in pitch black conditions.
  3. "To each his own." Skrall ordered a tankard of ale. After taking a sip, he continued, "Just got back from Strivvi, had a run in with some of the Wolfgang and another incompetent government. No matter where I seem to go, Dastan, Haddon, Strivvi, here, not a single government seems to be a functional one. What about yerself, Hybros? You've been here as long as I have, if my memory serves me correctly, though I tend to be horrible with remember such things."
  4. "Janitor, I believe. Always seems to be mopping when I get there."
  5. "Oh I've had the account as long as I've owned the apothecary, previous owner had it as well, not quite sure when it began actually. Anyways, U'reeves is always on the otherside waiting for me, he gets the crate of tonics and I get my pay. That's all there really is to it. You should ask him yourself if you're going in there. Strange though, I reckon they don't get much company, had to sign an oath of silence and all about the place when I took on the account."
  6. "Well I deliver to the portal to be specific. I'm not sure what U'reeve's role is, he just pays me. I show up, they zap me through, I deliver my tonics, get paid, then zap back here, no clue what he uses the stuff for. Big place, stone hall filled with a bunch of doors."
  7. "Actually this is my delivery spot. One weekly delivery of tonics to U'reeves the U'kin. Looks like you've already found the portal." Pretzel steps onto the snowflake and in a moment vanishes. Pretzel finds himself in utter darkness.
  8. "I agree, having slain both a titan and a kraken, there ain't much worse than those... and he's gone. Figures." Skrall proffered a handshake to the imp, "Skrall by the way. Fancy a drink?"
  9. Skrall had been reaching into his bag to skewer the monstrosity that had just appeared on a well aimed crossbow bolt when the imp bumped into him. "Hello there, small one. If ya don't mind, I was just about to make a wall trophy of the hulking monster that wandered in here down below, care to join me?"
  10. The alchemist takes a good look at Atramor before a dawn of recognition spreads across his face. "Oh you're that pirate with the chicken. Sorry it's been a good while. I'm just doing my job, bringing my weekly delivery? Rescue mission?"
  11. The issue isn't so much his blatent evilness, it's his appearing forces, as Flipz says, both heroes and the veterans into an awkward spot. In reality if this was an acutal quest, the Regret would be trounced if he set a foot into the hall, by both the heroes and the veterans. I know you're going for a really powerful villain, but from a meta perspective we all know that the Regret's going to be beat so it's hard to take him seriously when he comes into the hall like that and it makes even less sense that the heroes and veterans would cower before him. The rest of this is probably best hashed out in the QM Lounge and after your finale though.
  12. Thalion and Heckz attempts both have no effect, however as Atramor slides the pieces into their correct repositories, the snow-flake shaped pattern on the ground begins to glow with a light blue light. Quickly Atramor jumps off the pattern unsure of what might happen. "You mean the Z-mail system? Usually there's a lot of sparkle and flutter with those things, but there's definitely something magical about the delivery of these things." Ratabor's eyes light-up as Atramor seems to stumble across the answer to the perplexing puzzle. "Seems like we've found something." As the party stands around a familiar face pulling a cart approaches. "Eh, what this? Armed ruffians planning a robbery? You won't be getting any free handouts from me, no sir."
  13. Thalion holds the red, sand green, and dark green shapes in his hand, but notices no change.
  14. Monk Pretzel finds nothing else in the barrel, but discerns that the chain could probably serve as a pair of manacles. Shackles of War - (suitable for anyone, prevents anyone from fleeing battles, accessory)
  15. Atramor lifts up the wheel and finds 10 Gold! "I'm afraid so. We're probably never going to find it." *sniffle* Heckz looks inside, the observatory appear deserted, rusted weapons and a Pogcanis skull lie covered in a layer of thick dust. "Paladins, Mr. Brutenhal. And I have happened to work with Mr. Gibbin before and he proved himself quite capable." Thalion moves aside some of the ivy on the wall and finds four strange shapes cut into the wall. On further inspection the shapes seem removable. The circular stones on the ground seem to form the shape of a snowflake.
  16. And we're off and running, great to see some inner party conflict in the hall already. I'm aiming for 3 weeks tops on this quest, we'll see how it goes. The wiki is looking fantastic by the way. I haven't had a lot of time to make contributions, but when things quiet up on the calendar perhaps I can put some work in.

"Well here we all are, I suppose. For those of you whom I have not had the pleasure of meeting, my name is... *sobs a little* Ratabor Mossycloak. You'll have to *sniffle* forgive my rather dour disposition, I'm what some might term manically depressed." Ratabor takes a deep breath and collects himself. "Now, onto the matter at hand. As I mentioned in the hall, almost one week ago, I discovered that distressing note that I posted. I say "discovered" because there's simply no other way to explain it, one moment my bag is empty, the next it's filled with a note signed by this Greenhood fellow. Well I did what any caring individual would have and sought the help of some of my friends at Heroica and here you all are. I'm not sure what we're looking for, but this is the place the note mentioned: the south side of the Observatory. Now if we could only figure out what this "jump" is supposed to be. Hopefully you bright chaps can figure out this mystery, word has gone around that some of you are even Super Sleuths." QM Note: Welcome to quest 108. For those of you unfamiliar with a WBD quest, I like to encourage out of the box thinking (outside of battles that is) so feel free to explore your surroundings. Just make sure to bold your actions you want a response to. This is a mystery quest and with all mysteries the logical direction will seem obvious to me, but if you ever find yourself getting stuck or hitting a dead end, feel free to make it apparent to me. Please ensure your stats are correct, once everyone's confirmed we'll get going. Just as a note of advance warning, my weekends are generally packed, so updates will be sporadic during those periods (however I will always hold to the response within 24-hour principle), otherwise I expect this quest to move along at a fairly good pace. Good luck.
  18. A pale somber looking figure enters the hall, checks the quest board and heads straight for the lone regulator in the room. "Atramor my good friend, it has been too long. *sniffle* I'm glad to see you're willing to help me with this. Time is of the essence, would you gather up these other fellows and meet me at the south side of the observatory? I'll see you there. *sniffle*"
  19. Just in case anyone's hesitant, Quest 108 should be fairly short, 2-3 battles at most.
  20. Just in case anyone's been missing it, Khorne has been doing a fantastic job as Eric in Quest 100, a falible hero who doesn't focus on his faults but embraces them and uses them to his advantage. He doesn't accept his resposiblity to change for the world, he expects the world to change for him.
  21. I get the relics thing, but if a player decides to kill off their character shouldn't they be able to do so? Just asking, for clarification but why was it established that heroes were immortal in the first place?
  22. As Jeaux returns to his corner he can't help but notice a small slip of paper sticking out of his bag. The note simply reads:
  23. Even though the above is canon, I've always thought of it as most of the time heroes are just knocked unconscious when they are KO'd, not actually killed.
  24. I've got one for each basic class, but haven't been able to decide which one to use yet. I actually like this idea and am considering using it as well.
