  1. Atramor finds six gears lying on the floor! Two 12 teeth gears, two 16 teeth gears, one 8 teeth gear, and one 40 teeth gear. Atramor also notes that there are four loose axles on the ground as well. Atramor sees that one gear is already in place and has 36 teeth, though it is jammed and looks as if it will only move one rotation. Upon further inspection the regulator identifies what looks to be the locking mechanism hidden inside the alcove, 20 rotations long. What will Atramor do? QM Note: Note the puzzle is not to scale with the picture, but it does work with in real-life. Please let me know if you need more clarification, basically what combination of gears and axles equates 1 rotaiton on the 36 tooth gear to 20 rotations on the final axle?
  2. Atramor inspects the window and actually finds what he confused to be a lattice to be a geared mechanism, though it seems to have recently been smashed and be missing some parts.
  3. The door seems to be locked.
  4. Both Atramor and Heckz silently tiptoe to the Library Door.
  5. Pretzel pushes forward with the Party following behind. After much slipping and sliding and a few scraped knees and bruised egos, the Party lands safely on the other side, successfully crossing the frozen hallway! U'reeve leads them through a maze of corridors and passages, each lined with hundreds of doors, sprinkled here and there lie bodies of the undead and paladins alike. Finally the party turns around the last corner. "Just around this corner, we'll find the Paladin's quarters and the Library just to it's left around this corner. And... uh oh." Thankfully the Party seems to have avoided disturbing the mob of undead ahead of them for the time being. What will the Party do?
  6. The Party continues to the Secondary Hallway a frozen corpse can be seen beyond the doorway. In fact the entire hallway seems to be covered with a thick sheet of ice. "Looks like one of the necromancers put up quite a fight in here is what it looks like." The party looks across the slippery skating rink and notes several other frozen corpses dotting the landscape as well as a wide entrance to a further hall. "The library is that way." U'reeves points to the other entrance. The party puts a foot on the slippery ice and notes that it's going to take a bit of maneuvering to reach the other entrance. How will the party proceed? QM Note: You're starting in the bottom right corner, your objective is the wide entrance a little above that. The hall is covered in ice thus when you push off you'll keep sliding until you run into an obstacle. A PC's takes up a 2x2 space, thus you can't slide on a half space. Submit your answers in the following format: ^ = Up, > = Right, v = Down, < = Left. let me know if something isn't clear.
  7. "As I said, none of the doors are locked which is what I said. As for your stuff you're best off asking the Librarian who would know which door contains your stuff." So saying the U'kin leads the party into the hall and opens the large blue door. Inside, the party spies a Composite Bow, some Black Goo, a Wooden Shield, a suit of Darksteel Armor, a random assortment of consumables, and an Over-sized Greatsword that looks familiar to Atramor.
  8. "Don't worry, I've taken care of a Warden before." Skrall smiled, he turned to Ellaria. "I don't consider hundreds of feet of dirt ready to come crashin' down on my head a laughin' matter, but to each his own I guess."
  9. "Of course I'm coming with, you think I'd stick around here with undead on the loose I wouldn't be sticking around. Besides, I'm one of the few that knows the shortcuts through the maze, which is why I'm coming with you." "Our lives in the hands of a janitor. We're doomed *Sniffle*."
  10. Pretzel glances behind and notes that his cart is indeed sitting in the middle of the hall on the portal, but empty. "The undead simply follow basic commands and the Necromancer's aren't privy to what is stored where which is why they only give basic commands to the undead. The Paladins are on a rotation schedule and are thoroughly searched before they leave when their rotation is finished. Each necromancer was handling thirty or so undead each so that's about ninety or so and yes if you make it back to the material plane I'm sure you'll find your stuff is easily accessible from your bags or... cart."
  11. "Aside form opening thousands of doors which you could open? The librarian keeps track of all the doors since bags are constantly going in an out of circulation thus the librarian keeps track of them."
  12. "Oh, none of the doors are ever unlocked, so if Mr. Greenhood sent you a message I'd imagine he just threw it into a random unlocked door he happened to be running by at the given moment. The entrance portal can hold more, but it's contolled by the head office in Mr. Greenhood's quarters which may have a hoard of undead in front of it right now."
  13. "Simply the entrance to someone's bag which it is the entrance to."
  14. Skrall smiled as Nyx joined the group, it was good to have some familiar faces on this quest. As the party entered the room, Skrall gauged his surroundings, poorly lit and ill organized. "Nu Murcution, so we're heading underground. So this is some sort of archaeological expedition?"
  15. "Secondary Hall leads to the Paladin's quarters and the library which is where Secondary Hall leads. Tertiary Hall has the Necromancer's office as well as my storage closet."
  16. "That's right what that is. And Mr. Greenhood isn't the only necromancer, he's just the head one over them all. And no we keep a cohort of Paladins on staff at all times in case of a minor incident with the undead which is why we keep a cohort of Paladins on staff."
  17. U'reeves sighs with frustration and seems to be concentrating really hard. "Most heroes...carry with them a bag of holding how else... do you expect to carry around so much stuff without being weighed down? All those... how does Greenhood explain it? Pocket dimensions! Pocket dimensions... actually exist in one plane: this one! Have you ever wondered how your loot is always just where you need it in your bag and is always in mint condition? It because it's kept in pristine condition by us." U'reeves lets out a long gasp of desperation from communicating so understandably.
  18. Why did I have to give a U'kin the main exposition of the quest.
  19. "Wait you do not know where you are? You are on the Plane of Holding - Eubric district which is where you are at and that is why you're stuff is missing. On this plane, bags of holding do not function as they do in the Material Plane like on this plane. Each of the doors is simply a rear entrance to the material plane where your stuff is held because they are the doors to that plane. The hallways simply house more doors and hence more entrances to the material plane which is what those hallways hold and your items which you seek. The undead are kept because they can be trusted to maintain the entrances without stealing anything for the undead have no use for material possessions which is why they are trusted in the entrances' maintenance. However, one week ago something went wrong, and the necromancers lost control of the undead which is very wrong. Not even the Paladin detachment could hold them back and we dared not attempt an escape for fear of letting the undead loose upon the city of Eubric which could not hold them back like our detachment of Paladins. Mr. Greenhood, is the head necromancer and is in charge and is the person in charge whom you seek is he."
  20. "For feeding the undead of course, what else do you feed the departed? Don't worry, he was already dead so there's no need for worry."
  21. "I'm the one who did it, is there a problem with what I've done."
  22. Not really, especially if they haven't been on a quest yet. They just walked out the door and never returned.
  23. "No, no. I am only a simple janitor and cook which is what I am."
  24. "Of course I work here, that is quite apparent. I was hiding from the mob of undead out there which is what I was hiding from. Would have rather froze to death than be torn apart and eaten alive in my own kitchen, far worse than freezing to death."
