  1. Well, it's implied in 'EB User Groups and Tags'...
  2. I know. I was referring to petrovich.
  3. Spammers... I'll never understand them.
  4. Basically, don't thwart the hopes of FOLs who would be interested in a UCS LAAT/i... even though you feel the ship itself is a poor subject. They made an N-1, after all...
  5. Your X-wing will be completed on schedule.
  6. Why are we naming walkers again? Only the AT-TE, AT-OT, and AT-AP were actually on Felucia. Anyway, as redundant as this thread is, it looks as if it's going to be around a while, so someone should change 'Mosted' to 'Most' in the thread title...
  7. Just curious - what makes people consider The Force Unleashed more Star Wars than any other video game?
  8. Also UT-AT, MT-AT, AT-AV, AT-XT, AT-AR, AT-AA... At a stretch, The LEGO Group might be able to throw in a Tusken with some obscure podracer. But they'd have to give us Mawhonic first.
  9. Has anyone tried reverse-engineering the new escape pod? I'd like to see how it looks from other angles.
  10. Does anyone else here suspect that Appo and Rex will become the same clone?
  11. Okay, now this is just awesome. First off, you’ve captured the shape of the ship with incredible precision; I’m really impressed by how well everything matches up, from the angles of the aft end to the handrails in the troop cabin, especially as most of this build is studs-up. It's just unbelievably spot-on. There are many good System LAAT/is out there, and you’ve managed to take their techniques and use them to the best possible effect. Good to see that you’ve also incorporated some functionality – the moving bay doors and ramp are neat. Aside from what Anio has already mentioned, there is very little that is wrong on this model. Of course I can nitpick, but the only major errors that haven’t already been mentioned would be the length of the missile launcher barrels (they should extend past the second cockpit) and the size of the blocks holding up the wings (they could be smaller). Also, the 74-Zs appear to be stored upside down. However, I do feel that some semblance of weathering would greatly improve the look of the model, as it is rather bland as far as hull detailing goes – the ‘real’ ship sported more discoloration and even a few burn marks. I think that what Anio mentioned about the mass drivers being too small is what may be causing the model to look too tall, as well as the fact that there isn’t enough red around the cockpits. What if there was a hole in the side of the ship that served as the mount for the stand, in the fashion of the Tantive IV? (The set could also come with a panel to cover up the hole for those who would rather display it without the stand).
  12. It's been done...
  13. D'oh! The Y-wings in the film didn't have droids. There's a socket, but no droid. Can't believe I forgot about that.
  14. Spam. The Longprobe variant exists only in the Expanded Universe and features offset engine nacelles. This is the original single-seater A4.
  15. I posted a few reference pictures on the last page; the two most glaring errors seem to be the blocky head and scrawny engines that give the ship a very distorted appearance. It was also noted on FBTB that the construction in the front resembles that of 8037.
  16. It's been 미국 for a while now...

  17. I'm not sure, but the size actually looks about right. I wouldn't say the head is too big, just misshapen. There isn't enough curvature.
  18. Before that, I’d like to know what a ‘threadmill’ is. He probably meant ‘treadmill’, but he mentioned spiders which has me wondering whether it’s something else, an in any case he didn’t specify a size range, which would have been helpful. Assuming he did mean a treadmill, I’m guessing that one would need some of these attached to this, which would be turned by a motor. A fabric-like material would be stretched over the gears. The assembly could be suspended on these. The console could be a pair of these attached to the holes in the Technic beams with a pair of these attached. The brackets would then be connected in the middle via a plate. And it’s LEGO, not ‘legos’.
  19. According to David Low, the 6-wide domes from 10134 are about right for minifigure scale (as demonstrated in many good Y-wing MOCs). The construction of the head is completely different; I wouldn’t call that a minor upgrade.
  20. There's also Mike Crowley's excellent rendition.
  21. Some do, some don't. No two Y-wings were identical.
  22. Mm...
  23. Not trying to derail the thread, but the differences between the corvettes in Sith and Jedi are prominent enough that they can’t be the same ship. That’s why the blue corvette was retconned to be the Sundered Heart. What's more, the blue corvette matches up with the one shown in the Essential Guide, which should give you an idea of how inaccurate that source is.
  24. Some good things about this Y-wing: - Full cockpit and wider head - Wires in the greebling - Lepira (Gold 4)’s R5. I don’t think Dutch’s droid has been named, so this is a nice alternative. Some things I don’t like: - The curvature of the head doesn’t extend all the way, making the head look too rectangular – I would say this is the biggest problem. - The arms are too fat and appear misplaced, but that should be a quick fix. Actually, the entire middle portion looks distorted and the engines are still elongated. - The way they’ve attempted to combine the slope in front with stacked plates looks rather sloppy. It’s more accurate, but it clashes with the look of the ship. They probably did it that way to avoid weakness in construction. See here. Maybe this is just me, but this set strikes me as very awkward in appearance. And I’ve already pointed out that 9494 is much more different from 4502 than it may initially appear.
