  1. Well, they are great fanon creations, so perhaps he felt they deserved their own thread.
  2. How is this Luke's lightsaber again? Or did you mean this one? At its present state, this MOC is little more than a bunch of cylinders - far too plain to represent any lightsaber. I suggest you give us Star Wars fans some credit for appreciating the art of prop making and put more effort into having this more closely resemble what it's supposed to be.
  3. As are blue ones, if I remember correctly.
  4. This MOC is subpar if you ask me... pif500 has the general shape down, but the colors seem off, there are too many studs exposed, and some of the defining features just aren't there. The construction of the area behind the cockpit looks like it would be gappy and doesn't quite capture the curvature of that area on the 'real' Delta-7B (the droid is in the middle so it's a Delta-7B - more people need to learn to make this distinction). Considering that the MOCer used only parts from one set, though, I suppose this does deserve credit for how well it resembles its subject (though that may just be due to the fact that the Alpha-3 already bears a resemblance to the Delta-7B).
  5. Ah, yes, Tennyson! Wonderful, though this particular poem is rather overused in my opinion... Debris looks good - the use of binoculars as clips is quite clever. And I've already shared my thoughts on the ARC-170.
  6. Can't believe no one's mentioned this yet: Sounds like another proud addition to our fine series of craft built larger than minifigure scale. This should clear up any confusion as to whether the B-wing is System or larger.
  7. Most of these look to be heavy variants of the LAAT/i... interesting. 'Ultimate X-wing'... The Republic Gunner is reminiscent of a Viper Mark II: TIE Raptor?
  8. Not sure if this counts, and I already posted this in the Film & TV thread, but...
  9. Just to drive the point home:
  10. As funny as I find this, shouldn't it be "your path is not" instead of "not your path is"?
  11. Thank you very much Being fairly inexperienced with LDD I didn't know about the bug.
  12. Not a threat at all - I was simply pointing out that yodalikespie made the mistake of inquiring about the new Y-wing before we had any information on it. To my understanding, it's not so much the fact that he bumped the thread as the fact that he bumped it for no good reason. I'm not certain where the Moderators stand on this issue, but I feel that yodalikespie's question would have been better received had he posed it after a substantial amount of information had been gathered on 9495 - as I've said, there simply isn't much one can go off of at this point to determine its value relative to 7658.
  13. Again, we know next to nothing about the new Y-wing. It wouldn't be possible to say whether 7658 is worth the money relative to the new one until we know what the new one looks like, what its minifigures look like, how much it will cost, etc. Also, note that yodalikespie has been banned.
  14. Actually, I'm skeptical as to whether a brickbuilt alternative would look much better. There's a reason most decent Eta-2 MOCs use the SPUD.
  15. Since I also have a 'very basic LDD question', I thought I'd just post it here, since it doesn't really deserve its own thread... I need to know how I can complete the hinge connection seen below: LXF file is here if it's necessary. Thanks in advance~ EDIT: I should add that I have tried the Hinge Align tool and that it does not work.
  16. Solid engine nacelles? Here's to hoping you were mistaken... I'm assuming you can't reveal your source? Yes, Arvel was the pilot who flew into the bridge of the Executor. Hopefully they'll include his minifigure with an A-wing someday. "funniest thing ever to build"? Whatever do you mean? I would agree about the cockpit, though - the canopy lacks curvature, and the head area in general should be wider: The head of 7658 always looked rather 'puckered' to me...
  17. Welcome to Eurobricks, Hiawatha! I don't suppose you've read Henry Wadsworth Longfellow's epic poem of the same name?
  18. That would have been nice, as they'd also be giving us a grey Y-wing and an Asian pilot: Racial diversity in the Star Wars universe is always appreciated. Too bad he ended up cannon fodder... I find it hilarious that minifigures of throwaway characters like Zev or Jek have received more distinctive face prints than the man who survived two Death Stars and led Rogue Squadron. @Housey98: Have you seen that ARC trooper? And those Planet sets? There's little doubt that minifigures are the selling point of this line.
  19. Based on these facts alone I'm willing to bet that Lucas single-handedly wrote the script for this episode and nobody was brave enough to tell him it was terrible.
  20. I can't find the clip at the moment, but there is a scene in The Emperor's New Clones in which Palpatine is seen building a LEGO TIE fighter. Also, not exactly LEGO, but... LEGO print clothing: Giant LEGO-like structures:
  21. I must be getting old or something. Sorry about that - won't happen again...
  22. You need to have made 10 posts before you are able to visit yours and other peoples profiles. I Scream Clone. Welcome to Eurobricks!
  23. Regular glass cutters?
  24. Don't tell me I've embedded that image here before?
  25. On his Flickr page... But of course I have no idea how the hips were constructed on Metal Gear Rex. It really does have the same feel as a Viper, which means it's completely the opposite of what an X-wing is supposed to be. I remember Eleven-Thirty-Eight's... based off Niko's. I think his is very much in the style of the famous 'old skool' X-wings (e. g. Bruce Lowell's, David Low's) - really nice. If he had found some real sources for X-wing markings instead of toys his X-wings would have been even better.
