While we're on the topic of the X-wing games, the control ship from the recent episode of THE Clone Wars bears a passing resemblance to the BFF-1. Does anyone else think so?

KOTOR Mini Model Update: Leviathan & Ebon Hawk
Fallenangel replied to Legostein's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Very nice creation, Legostein. I particularly like your clever use of the gem pieces as thrusters. Finally, the AFOL community has easily accessible instructions for a great LEGO Ebon Hawk! By no means is it a small transport, though... going off interior measurements, the craft is a gargantuan 60~80m in length! Just goes to show how ignorant the canonicity geeks at Wookieepedia are of the sources that really matter. -
By the way, you asked before whether Alderaan and Naboo looked a lot like each other. There are solid entries on the geographies of both in the Technical Commentaries. Honestly, I can't tell the difference, but then again, I don't have a trained eye for this sort of thing.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Season 4 Discussion
Fallenangel replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Thanks, Art! Now I don't have to wait an extra day to watch it on the Cartoon Network website. EDIT: Well, I was right about Krell. At least the action was good. -

The Essential Guide version. The original from TIE Fighter has broader pylons and significantly different wing panels. If not, there's a project for another day... -
Oh yes, I can't wait to upset more bipolar kids.

Awarding of the Fellow rank is independent of post count. With his top-notch MOCs and the Community Builds he's led recently, ACPin more than deserves it.

Which reminds me: No one's seen one? -
Keep in mind I'm not trying to be argumentative here, and I apologize if I'm coming across that way. It's all in good fun... A member of Wookieepedia staff said the laser cannons were mounted on the "wing" between the two pods.

Well, in that case... This spammer has been reported. I don't understand why Andonii, who makes such positive contributions in the Avalonia thread, would choose to put all this Bull5h17 onto the Star Wars forum. Some idiot must have gotten into his account, I guess.

What's the point of this post?

So that's what the exhaust port led to!

I'm fairly certain that it isn't. I see there's a tauntaun head to the left of Han, in accordance with the film. Nice attention to detail.

Fallenangel replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
The question to remember is, who would buy them, other than AFOLs? Just look at 8087. Instead of hoping for Expanded Universe sets The LEGO Group will never make, we should just stick to making our own... they usually turn out better that way anyway. If all you're looking for is a LEGO Ebon Hawk, Brickdoctor managed to reverse-engineer the MINI I linked to. On that note, has no one MOCed the 'original' TIE Defender? All the MOCs I've seen are of the Essential Guide version. -
Some members have voiced complaints in the past about nerd talk cluttering up the LEGO Star Wars Rumors thread, so I’ll just continue the discussion here. Ironically, the resident X-wing fanatic has never played X-wing. Wasn’t there an updated version of the game released in ’99? Err, does count? The graphics could have been better, but I think the gameplay itself was very well done. You mean here or here ? I don’t see anything resembling laser cannons.

LEGO Star Wars 2012 Pictures and Rumors
Fallenangel replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Where? Wookieepedia says "two wing-mounted laser cannons", but none are visible in this shot. Or are they? There are those two thin bits just inside the panels, but those look more like support beams to me, and in any case they aren't pointed forward. And I actually have never played TIE Fighter, though I've seen many of the missions on YouTube. -
LEGO Star Wars 2012 Pictures and Rumors
Fallenangel replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Yes, maybe some. Don't forget TIE bombers having laser cannons and side hangars in Star Destroyers. To be fair, the ARF on Kamino could probably be considered a legitimate variant, meaning the minifigure is correct. The idea that Hasbro is a legitimate source for anything other than names, however, is not. -
Don't forget 5) State the obvious using younglings. For some reason Wookieepedia insists on retaining inaccurate information on its pages. If they know the lengths and schematics are wrong they should get rid of them already...

Well, there's also this: Any takers? Billund is still a ways off...

LEGO Star Wars 2012 Pictures and Rumors
Fallenangel replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Yes, toys have precedence over THE Clone Wars. Recall that Hasbro once released a Green Squadron A-wing in red. -

Why did you post this twice? -
I realize this is slightly off topic, but recall CopMike's recent post in the Questions thread: From Mads Nipper LEGO’s Corporate Management And from Steve Witt in the Ambassador forum:

That was actually the first thing I noticed.

It kind of reminds me of the rings on minifigure keychains. I wonder if these could be removed the same way...
