Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Season 4 Discussion
Fallenangel replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in Culture & Multimedia
For whatever reason, the Zygerrian slave ship reminds me of an Action VI transport. Maybe I'm just making bizarre connections again... -
What was the last movie you watched?

LEGO Star Wars 2012 Pictures and Rumors
Fallenangel replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
This has been brought up before, and the explanation was that it would be easier and more enjoyable for kids to play with a random ship or vehicle than to act within the confines of a playset. -
Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here

As you said, only The LEGO Group makes UCS sets, and they do vary in scale. At least, they do now. That is true, but what many people overlook is the fact that 7191 and 7181 (the original UCS sets) were both built to roughly 1:28 scale, causing many MOCers to refer to that as "UCS scale". Any TIE MOC using the windscreen piece from 7181 and 10175, such as Walter Kovacs' series, can be considered to be in "UCS scale". Anio is correct, however, in saying that "minifigure scale" usually just means that a minifigure can fit in the cockpit. "UCS" is also loosely used among MOCers to label highly detailed MOCs that are either very large or significantly larger than 'minifigure scale'. -
Welcome to Eurobricks, DucadiYork! Rather than using the gallery, most people use an external site such as Brickshelf to host photos and embed them here. There are some tutorials for that here.

Some interesting points raised, Blondie-Wan. It seems like most 'canon debates' stem from people picking and choosing their own 'personal canon', even though that technically holds no weight (as much sense as it may make). While I suppose canonicity is important to the story, I have often found myself adopting your chronological purism as well (that's basically where 'bah, retcons!' comes from). I think I would mind less, though, if it weren't for this: Thus the length of the Executor is inflated from about 8km to a whopping 19, and the Ebon Hawk becomes smaller than it actually is while the Moldy Crow attains Atlantean proportions... Well, I was right. Don't they have white 10x10 domes?

What to buy for X-Mas? Set 7957 - Sith Nightspeeder!
Fallenangel replied to Legostein's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Very clever alternate models, Legostein! You've turned what was a rather ugly set into a great collection of MINIs. I assume there are enough parts in the set for all four to be built together? -
I feel it important to note that StoutFiles happens to be a film purist. In his own words: Someone's going to come along and show off their disregard for canonicity in a fictional universe soon, so let's move on...

Talk to the Star Wars Moderators and Regulators
Fallenangel replied to KimT's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Eurobricks is unlike many Internet boards in that Moderators and members alike desire to maintain a relatively composed, well-organized, and user-friendly forum, doing their part to minimize immaturity and/or poor posting. Naturally, that includes chasing away vexers, boors, spammers, and straight-out idiots. This site is without a doubt the best online experience I've had. -
Bah, retcons! To be honest, though, it doesn't matter to me one way or another whether the Interceptor was around then, nor that it was included with the Death Star. Given the abundance of TIE fighters in the Star Wars universe we're bound to see one with a different planet, or even a large asteroid (though the TIE/sa would be more appropriate in that case).

I doubt that The LEGO Group will include ships we haven't actually seen. Technically, all Jedi use Jedi starfighters, but Yoda was never seen using his. Well, they are both related to mining... Choices from the films and THE Clone Wars have been more or less exhausted at this point, so I'm surprised no one has mentioned these: Ilum - H-type Nubian Yacht - Padme/Yoda/chameleon droid Dantooine - Seismic Tank - B2/Mace Windu Bomis Koori – Venator/ARC-170 – Dassyne/Anakin/Obi-wan Hypori – ARC gunship – Fordo/Grievous/Ki-Adi Mundi Bal’demnic – tri-fighter – Kon’me Nelvaan – CR20 – Anakin/Obi-wan/Nelvaanian Muunilinst - V-19/Nantex/Azure Angel/ Ginivex/ - clone pilot /Anakin/Asajj Ventress

Talk to the Star Wars Moderators and Regulators

Something I've been curious about... when a member is reported, do staff see who made the report? -
It was, it's just that a handful of us accuracy freaks were nitpicking it and the minifigure selection was less than appealing to some. See here.

I'm saying that the issue isn't in the width of the wheels, but the undercarriage. I doubt that using the tires sunnyx used on his Juggernaut will make 8098 appear bulkier because the suspension still appears skimpy. Rather than changing the wheels, one needs to consider the solid structure between them. And Saint's is not only significantly larger than 8098, but scratchbuilt. Wheels that size would definitely not work on your model. The wheels on 8098 are attached via a Technic pin like any other wheel; replacing them is only a matter of finding different wheels. Smaller hubs may help as well.
-
We've already had that discussion.
-
It's not that the wheels aren't wide enough; it's that there isn't enough between them. If only the wheels are replaced, they're going to stick out and make the whole thing look even more awkward. EDIT: To illustrate my point, consider Anio's Juggernaut. Anio uses the same wheels, but the connection between them is much more fleshed out, resulting in a more convincing overall image in comparison to either set.

Technically, what one may or may not perceive as 'spam' could fall under 'what is and what isn't forum wor(thy)', and no one's looking at the other thread, so... That's one of the very threads I was thinking of when I posted. It just doesn't make sense. The board isn't in 'real time', so there isn't any incentive to post then and there, and there aren't many board features requiring a minimum number of posts (ten hardly counts, and any more is a terrible idea because it begets spam), so there isn't any incentive to make a lot of posts. What's more, I don't see how posting 'Nice!' on an MOC says anything about either the poster or the MOCer (except that the poster doesn't care about the forum, in which case he or she shouldn't be posting). I occasionally see members who don't post anything other than 'great moc' and the like. What is their purpose for being here? They don't have questions to ask, opinions to put forth, creations to share. Do they honestly think their three-second greeting cards actually mean anything? These people don't know the community, and if those kinds of posts are the only posts they ever make, it's impossible for the community to get to know them. EDIT: Look at this guy. That's the only post 'Harry Potter.' has ever made. There's just no point in it.

I wonder, now that we have good pictures of everything else, why we haven't seen or heard any more of 3866. Was this delay typical of LEGO games for other themes? -

Someone already bought it. Honestly, though, this has been asked many times, and I don't think anyone really knows. Going off the usual time sets are in production, 10188 should be gone by next year or so, but given its popularity, it may be around longer.
