Lego Marvel Superheroes Game Announced
Legomaster34 replied to MattZitron's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
I knew this would be coming eventually! I can't wait to play this, I may even have to give it the Lord of the Rings treatment; I usually get LEGO games for DS, and if I really like the game or franchise, I'll get it on the Wii too. So far only Harry Potter and The Lord of the Rings have made me want the Wii version. -
I've read the books (The Hobbit and The Silmarillion too ), and I've seen the trilogy in full (sort of, saw The Two Towers extended edition, but the other two normal), once, but I've seen bits a pieces when it's on TV and I can catch a few scenes. I read the books first, and I love them, and seeing the movies I love them pretty much just as much as I love the books! I don't mind the exclusion of certain scenes too much, since I can just read the books if I want to "see" them, but I was really looking forward to seeing Tom Bombadil and the Barrow-wights; that was one of my favorite scenes in the first book. I voted for the books, but they pull ahead only by a small margin.

There's really only one licensed theme I'd love to see, and I don't know if it counts since it already happened, but was discontinued: Harry Potter. There's so much from that world that could have been made into LEGO (I especially wanted a new Chamber of Secrets to add on to the 2010 Hogwarts). I know it probably won't happen, due to the movies being over, but it would still be nice.

LOTR & The Hobbit 2013 Set Discussion

I was trying to think of what else it could be, and at first I thought a Fell Beast, but the color and shape looks more like an eagle. But you're right, time shall tell.- 7,499 replies

There's an eagle in the picture of Battle at the Black Gate! I didn't notice it at first, but after looking for what Crownie pointed out I saw the wing poking up behind the logo, and looked down and saw what appears to be an eagle!- 7,499 replies

They blend in a bit with the background of the packaging. And they're a bit further to the right of Arwen, past the weapon rack.- 7,499 replies

LOTR & The Hobbit 2013 Set Discussion

Actually, I think there are dark orange leaves in the Council of Elrond set. If you look towards the back of the platform, a little to the right of Arwen it looks like there's a tree with orange leaves on it. They seem a bit darker than the regular orange, but that may just be me.- 7,499 replies

Wow! All four of those sets look great, and I'll definitely be getting them when they come out! Arwen! Does anybody know the prices for these sets? I don't see them listed in the picture, but I may just not be able to see them...- 7,499 replies

I don't really think Gandalf's staff is really an issue. Personally, I like it just the way it is.

Thank you very much! I assumed it wouldn't be any bigger than one foot, and now I can see it's not! I'm only really worried about future possible sets, like Orthanc, Barad-Dur, and maybe Minas Tirith not fitting, but I think a little more than one foot will be enough. Adjustable shelves is a good idea, I'll have to think on that! Thanks! Thank you!

Would anybody be able to give me some measurements (in inches, preferably) of the height of the tallest point, and the footprint of the following sets; Helm's Deep, An Unexpected Gathering, Goblin King Battle, Warg Attack, and Barrel Escape? I'm building shelves, and I only have Uruk-hai Army and Gandalf Arrives so far, but I want to have all the Middle-earth sets to be able to fit on it. Thanks in advance!

I agree; as cool as it would be, I doubt we'll get a set with the three Trolls. I hope we get Radagast's hut as a set! Maybe have his rabbit sled too!

I got 100% on the DS version. I can't be of much help with the other versions though, sorry...

LOTR & The Hobbit 2013 Set Discussion
Legomaster34 replied to CM4Sci's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Does anybody think The Council of Elrond might come with Gloin? It seems to be the only way to get the old version of him, and him with a new Elrond would make that set very desirable. Is this just wistful thinking on my part?- 7,499 replies

I just got Gandalf Arrives last night, and built it this morning, and it is amazing!

Yeah, they're in the DS version too.

Thanks for the pictures! Those all look really nice, but some appear to be miniscale. Others though, like that Rivendell one, look like thay might be real! I'd love the Lothlorien tree house and Edoras too!- 7,499 replies

I'll probably end up getting that polybag; I actually like it! It's nice, and I do love that sword piece!

New CMF parts in LEGO's parts database?
Legomaster34 replied to Aanchir's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Wow, these sound really cool! The ones I'm most interested in are the Motorcycle Mechanic, Warrior Woman, Revolution Soldier, Roman Commander, Librarian, Paintball Player, and Bumblebee Girl. I especially like that Paintball Player! -
Nice review! I'm really liking these Wargs, and for some reason that rock Yazneg and his Warg are mounted on looks really cool to me!

LOTR & The Hobbit 2013 Set Discussion
Legomaster34 replied to CM4Sci's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Frodo and Ringwraith sounds interesting, and hopefully a cheaper way to amass nine of them! I'm hoping it will be one of two set ideas: either on the road out of the Shire, with just Frodo and the Ringwraith, or their encounter on the road to Rivendell, with Arwen on a horse as well as Frodo and the Ringwraith. I, personally, would prefer the latter. Pirate Ship is a set I'd love to get! Hopefully it would have some Corsairs and some of the Soldiers of the Dead, maybe even the King of the Dead! Eagle's Nest could be a few things, so I'll just wait for any thoughts on this one...- 7,499 replies
