Courtyard Apocalypse - The Battle of Hogwarts
Legomaster34 replied to Julandrius's topic in LEGO Licensed
Wow, I really like this! Whenever I see Harry Potter MoCs on Eurobricks, it always brightens my day, and this one is just fantastic! -
I've seen both of them at Toys R Us last Friday, and I saw the 4841 Hogwarts Express at Target when I went October 30th. So I'm guessing it's simply out of stock.
-
Wow, that's stupid of me. I didn't even think about emailing them, thanks for the suggestion. Thanks, I think I'll email them later today

^Could somebody please answer my question from my post on the last page? Has anybody ever preordered something from Game Stop with a preorder bonus before and not gotten the bonus in the mail with the game? I really want to know because I really want that t-shirt. Does anybody have any suggestions as to what I should do about this problem. The game arrived Saturday the 12th, if that changes anything...

I got the DS version and I love it! It's a better game than Years 1-4 on that system, although I thought that game was great too . I've finished the story mode for all the Books, and it was actually quite challenging. There were a few parts where I got stuck and it took me a while to figure something out. There's also this Dueling club area, where you can duel different characters (like Dumbledore's Army, the Order of the Phoenix, Death Eaters, regular students, etc.) and that's actually a lot of fun. You can also unlock some characters from the previous game, like Cedric Diggory. The trophy room is interesting. When you collect all the gold wizard hats in a level you get a little scene that you can view in the room. Unfortunately, the hub is just a small area of Hogwarts, but at least it's not just the Room of Requirement this time . I don't really have any complaints about this game on the DS, I think everything about it is great. It's a lot better if you don't compare it to the games on the other systems, because it's not really fair. The DS will always have lower graphics quality and poorer memory than systems like the PS3 and X Box 360. So just accept it for what it is, a great LEGO Harry Potter game P.S. Did anybody preorder the game from Game Stop? I did so I would get the bonus t-shirt, but they didn't send the t-shirt with the game. Has this happened to anybody else? Edit: Shouldn't we be talking about the game in the video game discussion thread? Here.

My copy just came in the mail today and it's amazing! I have it on DS and they fixed everything that was wrong with Years 1-4 on that system. The only problem is, I preordered it from GameStop, so I would get the bonus t-shirt. The game came, but the t-shirt didn't. Anybody else have this problem?

I just preordered the game from for DS Game Stop. Can't wait for it to arrive, I don't think I 've ever been this excited for a video game!
-
Darn it! I've been waiting to hear where this would be available, and I was just at Target yesterday but I didn't go into the Christmas section! Figures.
-
That's awesome! I was origanally going to wait till the price went down (as it usually does with DS games), but I'm definately pre-ordering it now.
-
Oh, ok then To answer your question, yes I am, and I have
-
This looks great! I can't wait to see what it will look like when it's completely finished. Hogsmeade has always been one of my favorite wizarding world locations (besides Hogwarts, of course ) and I'm sure you'll do it justice.
-
I origanally didn't, but that's a good idea, so I probably will now No, the library curvs around a gap because the Great Hall is next to it, and the Great Hall is longer so the wall curves at that part. Hope that explained it well enough:P

Am I going to put what? And thanks, since there seems to be an interest in it again, I'll post a new update soon;) Yeah, I have specific places where I want those rooms to be, and I haven't gotten there yet But don't worry, I'll try to do it soon;) Yeah, the Quidditch Pitch was actually one of the easiest to do, all of the towers are basically the same structure, just with different colors! To answer your question yes, the Forbidden Forest will be added, but it will probably be last. Edit: Update 8 now up!

Lucky! It comes out eight days after my birthday Oh well, close enough!

Looks like I need to get out to TRU soon, luckily I still haven't bought The Knight Bus. Has anybody heard where the other Harry Potter promo set, the Lab, will be released? I'm really interested in getting these.
-
The Godric's Hollow level has been removed from that page, but you can still find it here:
-
Thank you! I've been wondering when that would be coming out! Does anybody know how long they will probably be selling, and are they in the isle where the regular sets are, or are they by the checkout? I've never gotten promo sets like these before, but these Harry Potter ones look good, and I still need a plainclothes Harry I hope to get one soon, but it may be a few weeks before I get there Also, is there any news on the Lab set? I agree with Orejon8, those torsos look amazing, and Ron's angry face looks great too! I also hope that Sword of Gryffindor that Ron is holding can be made in real bricks, it looks so much more like the real sword than the one we've gotten in the past.

I can't wait to see what this will be like on the DS. I have Years 1-4 on that system and it is on of my favorite LEGO games on it. The others I own on the DS, Indiana Jones and Star Wars, had very similar gameplay which got a bit boring by the time I got Star Wars (I got Indy first) but Harry Potter felt fresh but still had some similar elements like panels that only certain types of characters can use. There were some things that could be improved, which I am sure they will do in Years 5-7. For example not being able to jump all the time got a little annoying after a while, and the top-down-corner view made it so you couldn't see the design of the characters printing very well unless you were in the minifigure customizer. And no multiplayer (unlike the other LEGO DS games) was a bit of a letdown. Being stuck in the Room of Requirement and not being able to explore the rest of Hogwarts was a bit dissapointing. But if they improve those things then Years 5-7 will definately be a must-buy for me.

Why don't we add my heroes to this library? I will just show the first one here (which is also one of my favorites ) Here is the link to my other heroes: Click

I do agree with Eskallon that all of these Hogwarts MOCs are amazing, and some of them were part of my inspiration while building my Hogwarts: As you can see it's still a work in progress, but I still think you might be able get some inspiration from it. My Hogwarts Another awesome Hogwarts MOC is built by Matn here on Eurobricks, which was my main inspiration for building my Hogwarts : Matn's Hogwarts I wish you luck in this project!

Wow, you have a lot of owls! I accually like the use of the 2x2 round bricks, even though the pillars in your reference picture (which is from Goblet of Fire, not Chamber of Secrets ) are straight, I think they add a little bit more detail.
-
Looks good! I like all the little details that you've added, really gives it the Harry Potter atmosphere. Changing Harry's hairpiece is a good idea too, but unlike most people, I don't really mind his official hairpiece. I also like that you used my favorite character: Ginny!

I will try to updfate them, because I agree with you, they are really plain. Topspin is the worst, the only difference between him and my regular NASCAR is the roof cannons:/ Edit: Leadfoot is now updated:) Edit: Roadbuster is now updated:) Edit: Topspin is now updated:) He now has the most weapons on him, ironic isn't it?
-
In LDD I built a few NASCAR stock cars and I decided to do something a little more challenging, so I made the Wreckers as seen in the new movie "Dark of the Moon". Now, they don't transform, and I'm not done with the robot modes yet, but once I finish I will upload them immediately. Leadfoot: Leadfoot Version 1 Side: Version 1 Back: Version 1 Roadbuster: Roadbuster Version 1 Side: Version 1 Back: Version 1 Topspin: Topspin Version 1 Side: Version 1 Back: That's all for now! Please comment! I really want to hear what you think!

LDD MOC: Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlour
Legomaster34 replied to Orejon8's topic in LEGO Licensed
Wow, that looks amazing! I also make Harry Potter MOCS in LDD and I especially like the lights on the ceiling in the interior. The attic is also very impressive, but my only complaint would be that it is a little too small, you can only fit one or two minifigures! Florean Fortescue's is also a building not many people have built, so I think you might be the first!
