This is what I find so confounding. I suggest you drop this as a ...defense?... because it is what people are getting confused by. And I would wager to guess a majority (if not all) of the other players would think those two things synonymous, especially for the sake of a 4-page argument...

You're both nuts! Tarden's behavior with me was odd, firmly odd, you won't find me changing that. He said he wasn't stimulated by Day One's activity and that was why he wasn't active but that he planned to jump on someone today yet named no suspicions. You're both confounding!

I drew that conclusion. Brand says he was asking me, whatever that means. I still can't see past that Brand is going back and forth, even today, about if he said the things Tarben said were strange or were they only a joke? Last night, it appears, he was saying he only thought there were a joke and today he's saying it was odd again, the same way he did by PM before saying he thought it was just a joke and I was the one who took it seriously. He's saying he never concluded Tarben was Scum but you can all see what he wrote. There's too much contradiction here.

It's actually quite common. When Brand told me Tarden had said "I'm Scum" and then later "You're Scum,made to you?" Which by his own definition is a bad paraphrase...I asked if he was a traitor because he sounded like he was fishing. The actual conversation seems less so. Check the rules, the direct quoting of PMs from other players is not prohibited. Not ",made to you", "aren't you". Stupid autocorrect.

Since the rules don't seem to prohibit it, I will post more directly what you said. You said he seemed the most Scum-like to you. I paraphrased it as "I think Tarden is Scum". What do you think paraphrasing is? The fact of this is that you said you thought Tarden was joking until I brought it up here when you were clearly trying to use it in private as a reason to suspect him. And now you are trying to mince words that have nothing to do with your apparent lie. Me saying you said Tarden is Scum when you said he is the most Scum-like pales in comparison to you lying. Brand told me in private he was suspicious of Tarden because Tarden claimed to be Scum by PM. He said the things Tarden were saying were "very strange" and "very weird". I asked him what and he told me that Tarden claimed to be Scum in private. Then he proposed Tarden might be messing with him after saying before posting it that it was strange and weird. Then he said he didn't know and would keep an eye on him. So, why press me about Tarden twice and when I ask him why does he say how weird the private interaction, post that and now say he wrote it off as a joke the entire time. Not much has changed. He is typically a weirdo but that is metagaming. People have been lynched for less than confusing what side they're supposed to say they're on. A previous player changed her name and I thought that was you. Is this your first game? I mean first time in Valhalla? Or this mead hall, whatever? Feel free to share suspicions. A first game, if it is, can be intimidating, but get in there and play. We don't bite, we only lynch.

Nobody would hint that way. Nobody. Why would anyone give a hint to their allegiance, blatantly come out in the first post and say "I am neutral!" and that's clearly not what he's saying. He has posted since then. He ignored you. I'm guessing because you make no sense.

It wasn't a discussion worth having. No self–respecting Serial Killer would come in and say "Well I can't decide if I'm Scum or Town and I can't think that I'd like to be either. Blah Blah Blah."
