"Listen Lady, you have no idea how people with money get when they can't see what they paid for. These people will re-appear. I have to stay with the group. Go search for everyone if you want. " *Siegourney leaves the group again to search for the missing members of the tour.*

"There are a lot of people missing. Everyone will be just fine. No need to go searching. The eclipse is about to start..."

*There is nothing in the hole.* *Siegourney rejoins the group in the courtyard.*

I noticed that pretty quickly. Sowwy! Don't forget your dynamic action option, folks! -
As the tour continues into the courtyard, a good portion of the tour group is missing... "The nerve of this group. Seven members missing? Really? I've never had such a brazen group..." "I don't understand that letter. My grandmother..." Penny was upset. "It's OK," Zack consoled her, "I have an important matter to discuss with you..." "Where's my husband?" The Falcon women said in unison... ________________________________________________ Rules for Game play (borrowed mostly from Dragonator's Mystery Manor) There are to be 21 participants. If you commit to the game you are committing to contributing to the story and sticking with it to the end. I am trusting you all not to drop out halfway through, as that is never any fun. The winner will be announced at the end of the game. Players will be scored along the way on certain criteria and completion of objectives. This will not be clear until the end. Ask questions for clarity along the way, but don't be surprised if the answers are cryptic. Of course, to win, you must survive… Attempts to solve the mystery or objectives can be postulated in the game itself. The truth will be revealed at the end. If someone solves the mystery before then, the mystery will play out and that player will be given points for solving it. Throwing out constant solutions will only get you killed. If an objective is to find out who stole something and you end up posting a guess of every other player, your latest post will be taken as your solution and you will be killed anyway, so just don't do it. You must search for clues. This means that an action must be specified. For example, you wish to search a room for hidden objects. The following is an example of how not to go about this: "I wish to look for suspicious or hidden objects in this room". Instead, you must be able to specify what you want to do. For example: "I would like to open the drawers of the cabinet." It is not required for you to specify exactly what you are doing and what you are looking for, but a generalised statement will not find you anything. Act like a detective and you will be fine. Dynamic Actions: Actions you wish to carry out without all of the other players' knowledge can be PMed to the game host, Hinckley. You may or may not be allowed to do what you request. Attacking: I have setup a system for attacking and defending that is needlessly complicated and I won't try to involve you all in the specifics. At a certain point, you may want to attack another player. PM me your attack and I will answer if it is plausible or not. Some characters just would not attack another player, based on their character description. Some characters are stronger than other when it comes to defense and counter-attack. So think before you attack. Life points: I am using TheBrickster's life points system, however I will not bother you all with the details. Just be careful and do your best to live. Host response time: Please be patient. You may bring the story to a point where you need the host to further game play. I will be on top of this game as much as possible. Please be patient with me between chapters as well. The game host is always right. Please don't question the rules or the info you are given. Take the info I give you and work with it. If you're terribly confused, please say so or ask questions. But, if I don't give you any further info, please be patient with the info you are given and try to work with what you have. Stagnant game: If you find yourself trapped in a room, it is because you need to find a clue or you've missed something. Don’t argue with the game host. You’ll be there until everything that needs to be discovered has been discovered. This game is meant to be fun, so enjoy yourselves! Please try to avoid editing your posts, as it can lead to suspicion against you. Just consider what you want to say before you say it or even proofread and you'll be fine. Failure to follow these rules will result in a warning. A second failure will result in the humorous death of your character. Cast of characters: Pleas note: more character info will come to some players from the host before each chapter starts. So, there are a couple of puzzles still left to be solved. I thought it was a good time to pause anyway. You'll need to go back to those puzzles, but I was at my limit for the number of days and action taking place filling an hour of "game time." Great job so far you guys! I'm glad you are putting yourselves into these puzzles and it sounds like people are having fun! Yay! -
*Above Sheldon's head the skeleton of Vaccuus shook lightly. A drop of blood fell from Vaccuus's demon beak and landed on Sheldon's lapel. Nobody noticed the shaking or the drop of blood as Johnson Willoughby announced the eclipse was about to start and moved everyone from the Grand Chamber to the courtyard...*

Yuppers! -
"Don't be silly. There are no cultists among us. MOTEE tours did extensive background checks on all of you... Ooops... Maybe I shouldn't have said that." *Good idea, but the only statue that turns is the fourth statue that you just placed.*

*Siegourney reads the paper out loud in a sexy voice at first, but quickly morphs into a quirky, grandmotherly sort of voice when she realizes who has written this particular note.* "Beware ye all who enter here! Oh, I’ve always wanted to start a letter like this. Such an adventure! Fun, but filled with treachery and death. My name is Monica Maltese and I traveled to this site to see the beautiful ruins on the night of the lunar eclipse. I don’t have much time, so I’ll try to explain quickly. There is a “Brotherhood of the Vaccuus” that will try to awaken the demons. They are an ancient society bent on harnessing the power of the ruins. There are several things they need to be successful so we have hidden the necessary items. Unsettling some of these items from their resting places makes the demons a bit restless themselves, but the demons can’t be released until blood is spilled on the altar. I have found two companions who have helped me in this quest: Jonathan Falcon and Siegfried Harcourt. Unfortunately, Mr. Harcourt has passed, a very noble and brave man indeed. If you are reading this letter, beware the Brotherhood. They will arrive by midnight on the night of the eclipse. The swords have a special" *It seems the letter has been ripped...*

Thank you! I thought the periods would help. -
*Sorry. * *Diesel moves the torch-bearing arm of each statue to the down position. Nothing happens.* *The camera picks up more than your eye can. All that is there is a formless shadown, but you feel your father's presence.* *A spine-chilling and other-worldly "yes" resounds near the shadow.* *The shadow does not respond again audibly but starts writing in the air with the pencil "N E S W" again and again.* *You're so observant. * *Nothing happens* *Christ. The wall you almost knocked down by pulling the lever. You stopped because the lever got stuck. Stepping on tiles prevent the wall from falling? No, you idiot, stepping on the tiles opened the tile that was covering the safe, you block of wood!* *A rolling combination that requires five letters...* *I'd let you enter the password if you weren't scoffing at the game details, jerk.* *You're a paranoid freak.* *Siegourney bipasses everyone and enters "GREED" into the safe combination. The safe opens (everyone notes that it is strange how modern the safe is) and inside there is a single sheet of paper with writing on it.*

*Samantha looks in the chamber that was hidden by the other "?" tile. There is a safe in the chamber. The door opens up so there's no reason to remove it...* *Sheldon poops after realizing the tile madness is over. Now it's onto torch madness. *
-
*Samantha and others put the statue in place.* * :hmpf: :hmpf: I don't know, maybe it's the other "?" tile. Ya think??* *Jack puts the torch in the hand of the remaining statue, connecting it to the eyehook. Like a true idiot, he wastes another match lighting it when he could've used one of the other torches. Nothing happens. There must be more to this remaining puzzle...* *No, the first crash was the first "?" tile. Don't you people read? *
-
*That doesn't work* *That does. As Fred shoves the block into the alcove, the stone alcove to the left opens and a fourth statue comes tumbling out onto the Grand Chamber floor.* *On the other side of the room, five people have decided to step on the stone tiles marked "1" and "2." One person steps on the stone tile marked "1" and two people each step on the stone tiles marked "2." There are three satisfying clicks, a Zelda noise and another sound of a toppling stone...* *The westernmost "?" tile popped off and the lever was exposed.*
