You definitely got the brunt of the criticism there. It also might not always have been constructive. You doing OK? Were we too honest harsh?

Yeah, and roles have to be selected and so forth. But Zepher's clearly a werewolf Scum. I can already tell. -

No!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was just about to finalize the list and you were on it. I understand. I'll miss you. I like when you play my games. I think you're good... -
As if there was every any doubt, Eurobricks members continue to prove that FABULAND is alive and well in our hearts and in reality! Member Thauka Films brings us a beautiful FABULAND stop-motion brick flick: Discuss this work of art here And Town Forum Moderator Rick made this cool MOC for our Friends Regulator Pandora's birthday: Check out the other pics, the fun story, the obligatory frog and discuss here

No, they're original brown. I have a habit of buying every FABULAND lot I see on eBay and supplementing it with occasional Bricklink FABULAND buying sprees. The amount of FABULAND LEGO elements I own is obscene. Thank you, though! I forgot they had brought that piece back. As far as your movie goes, it's beautiful. Thanks for coming here and sharing it with us.

You fail. You were sent a personal invitation since you played the first one. You don't have to sign-up. Fuckwit. Is FUBAR and acronym? I just always used it synonymously with "ducked up". So I have googled FUBAR and now I realize what it stands for. Good one. You're still a fuckwit. -
That is incredibly well done. Excellent job with the lighting. This is your film, correct?

hosted by Hinckley and Fugazi The happy, adorable villagers of Springhaven are back! But they've moved on from the peaceful and quaint little village of Springhaven. An unspeakable evil lives in the forest surrounding their old village and mysterious fires took the lives of many friends and neighbors. The happy, adorable furry friends have established a new village named Winterhaven. Here, they have picked up the pieces of their shattered lives and moved on from the evils brought upon them by Daxia, the Demon Legion and the evil entity known to them as Felix Fox. But, it wasn't long before the happy, adorable villagers of Winterhaven discovered...something evil had followed them here. The players list will comprise mostly of privately invited players. At this point there will be 7-9 openings left for people who didn't participate in the first game. To play, you must have completed a Mafia School game, or be part of the old school crew that didn't need that, and have completed one full Mafia game as well. You must be able to post frequently over the next four to five weeks. Additionally, please answer, in this thread, the following questions: 1. What is your favorite FABULAND set? 2. What is your favorite EB Mafia moment? 3. What is your favorite acronym? Pretty easy, huh? Hosting Philosophy: I started as a very hands-on host, acting more like a TV producer than an impartial viewer. With each game, I've become more and more hands off, allowing the game mechanics to work for themselves once they're out of my hands. To take this further in this game, I have enlisted a co-host. Fugazi is taking a second look at my game mechanics now to help me ensure that a balance is set from the beginning. Nothing will be added once the game has started. That being said, veteran Mafia hosts on EB just love to add something innovative to each game and this one will be no exception. There will be an active Night Phase thread, like def's Bloodbrick Nights during Fraulein Bloodbrick. During this time, players can compete for a small Action. Town and Scum and any third-parties will all have an equal opportunity to win this Action. It will not be anything game-changing as in The Forest I where the Mason and Vigilante Action were both re-distributed to other players. And while it will be time-based, in order to be fair to all time zones, it will not be first to solve, wins. There will also be an additional incentive to roleplay that will be revealed during the Night Phases. All of this information is being provided to help you decide if you want to play. If you have any additional questions regarding my hosting philosophy, please post them in this thread. Thank you.

Fabuland Builders Guild - Discussion Thread
Hinckley replied to Shadows's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Just noticed this little discussion. The same method for tightening the legs works for the arms and heads. It's the same principle You're creating a greater surface area by adding either the nail polish or clear coat. The solution is temporary but repeatable. Eventually the coating you add will wear down. Just re-apply your substance of choice. -
By the way, I used the term fanon because comic book purists call non-canon work "fanon". I was trying to come up with something that sounded odd enough to be real and give someone a chance to post an explanation and make the "sting" (sorry, ) seem more realistic or Bob-like.
-
It can't be worse than our scathing review of the Town's performance, especially York and fhomess.
-
So I post all that explanation and you still say "the whim of the host". Bottom of my list.
-
Oh well, tell my employer to give the money they're paying me back then, since I just wasted like 20 minutes... Oh, oops. I mean, I'm on break. I'm fine posting that. I think your gripes were legitimate and I'm glad we cleared up the misunderstanding. I was confused as to why you were so adamant it was BS and the things you pointed out did look suspect out of context. Obviously, most of you calling it BS is joking, but there's a bit of seriousness where I could tell you guys were thinking it was a over-meddling host-tweek. It's good we talked about that. Not to mention, the point that I was allowed on the writeboard still remains valid. I even agree I shouldn't have been on it. Writeboards aren't always that active though and we were a bit hyper.
-
Oh, I thought I did. I mostly agreed with you. Let's avoid me having to re-type it all and I'll just quote the writeboard: This quote isn't necessary. I just think I'm funny. Scumba says that Bob came up with the stump on a whim in the writeboard: I figure I were a moderator and a kid asked for a reference, I'd tell him to look it up so I do: This is all after Captain John Paul was killed, so we keep talking about the "success" of his sting, so the conversation is all jumbled. Showing off my love for ScumbaRadish: After trying to walk in the Scum's shoes for a moment: darkdragon says: I reply: Then, after some more discussion: darkdragon, I skimmed real quick but don't see any more questions for me regarding the Stumpy Stumpems role. What were you still waiting for from me?
-
Why blame lovable Stumpy at all? I thought I explained away all you whining concerns on the dead writeboard?
-
ScumbaRadish! Nom nom nom
-
True. It was an awesome and formidable Scum team. Too true!
-
This, ^ true. Zepher, I cited many times the fact that I gave you an extra invention in Steampunk since I noticed the Town were at a disadvantage (my fault for making a role that could easily convert itself to Scum host lesson learned there ). Granted, you didn't use the freaking invention anyway, but I saw it was needed and added it. Nobody pooped their diapers about that. Or the fact that Inky was given a sword after we killed you on the first day in Werewolf. Tweaking for balance happens. I can go on citing examples. This isn't unheard of. I added a three-shot day killer in the first Baritones. I would never do that again but it has happened.
-
But why? Why? How does that win condition affect the rest of the game? Use neutrals responsibly...
-
This, really, should be shouted from the roof tops. When should a host use a third-party or neutral? If I have any criticism of Bob's hosting, it's this point here. There's no reason for an investigator to be neutral. Maybe it makes sense for the nice little "first contact" story, but whose story is that? That's a good story for a cult leader, but an investigator???? How was that helping him as a survivor? Scum loves to keep investigators alive! So, how does that help anything and why would the Town be denied an investigator?? One of the weirdest examples ever of this was Rick's voteless neutral watcher in Werewolf. If he hadn't teamed up with the Town, what the megabluck was he supposed to do? Watch things? Neutrals should have a separate & attainable win condition. I keep forgetting to thank Bob for my favorite role ever. I think I was the first host to use a vengeful spirit on EB and it was Florence in Baritones I. I did it as a whim when I was writing roles and she turned over three Scum in as many days. This time I got to be it! Sorry I almost ruined it by talking too much. I was really worried that I had broken the role. That was a good conversation we had and I think you reached a very fair conclusion. It's a hard task to keep me mute, so sorry the role fell to me. And sorry if I've drawn you un-necessary criticism. Maybe I shouldn't have been allowed onto the writeboard, but the other stuff was me just spazzing and doing whatever I felt without clarifying what I would be doing going back in. My fault, really. I'm glad we worked out a way for me to continue, because that was the most fun way ever to leave a Mafia game: spontaneously combusting after uncovering a covert Scum spy! That's totally my Christmas for the year. Especially since ScumbaRadish was being such a dick. Bob, I'd play one of your games any time, knowing full well that it'd be a crazy little ride. Thanks for the more-than-entertaining ride!!
