  1. The decision to target you on Day One was left up to me. Even before we knew you were the investigator, my plan was to claim day investigator. I never expected it would get me very far, but TinyPies had used two vigs before so I was going to try to be as adamant as I could that there were two investigators. So, I had to play Town-Hinck and Town-Hinck would've investigated you since you and Dave both were suspecting me and you had that reaction to being grouped with him and since Dave was "obviously Scum" my best justification for when I was asked later who I targeted was you. Had you not been so adamant about your gut feeling that I was Scum, I probably would've targeted someone else. That was why I contacted you. "If you got a Town result on Kristel, why didn't you contact her?" I also wanted to try and gauge if you had claimed to anyone about your role to see if I could claim investigator after we killed you. I didn't know if you were paranoid enough to send an "in case I'm dead" PM to someone.
  2. When we first started talking you told me if I was Scum I was doing much better than Ragnarok One and I almost said "thanks". That would've been brilliant. So now I can say thanks for that. I royally screwed up the first Ragnarok and was happy to have a strong team with a strong plan in this one. I was worried to talk to you, but that was something that gave me away the first time, so I remembered not to back down when you started pressing me. Unfortunately, people's reaction to your particular playing style made it easy to leave you as a top suspect, despite being "investigated", something Rick never liked, why I was talking to you when you were so suspicious. I wrote a novel to explain that one away. But, all throughout we let the Town lead the lynches. We started a couple of votes, but we went with what the Townies wanted to do. The only lynch I feel we stopped was Bob's and that was by giving a false investigation result. Scuba, my friend, you were almost lynched on Day Six. We did kill Pie because we needed Scuba if there was a Day Seven (which I was terrified there was a PGO in the remaining Townie Pool). We probably should've killed Murdock because he would've been onto a Day Seven Hinckley. He kept asking why I was still alive ( Sorry...) but Day Seven would've been too far. I just couldn't bring myself to kill him, although TPRU did have me literally stab him in the back in the conclusion. Mirrors sting sometimes. What we asked in the final Night Action submission was that if there was no PGO we could kill Scuba and give CallMePie and Cornelius hugs and just push them into a lake. No offense, Scuba. Another thing I liked about this Scum team so much: We all had plans for what got Scum caught in the past. We really looked at what our individual Scum tells had been and how we reacted when confronted with them before. My in-thread activity was way off, but I knew being active behind the scenes under the guise of protecting a PR and giving the "Scum" someone to try to throw suspicion on was easy enough explanation for that. Nerve-wracking game with what felt like a tenuous grasp on the Town's trust. Thanks again to the Scum team for putting up with "Hyper-Hinck". Some days I would have a full circle conversation with myself, come up with a new idea and talk myself out of it by the time anyone had time to respond. Oh, the rolling pin... We could do a lot to help future Scum teams, but I wonder how much of our strategy we should reveal. I really enjoyed playing with everybody, Town and Scum, though. It was really an old-school EB Mafia game! It was a great Scum collaboration, though. It really felt like each member played their part on and off the playing field. Sorry to keep having a Scum love fest. One question, TPRU. Waterbrick Down's role says he gets a strongarm modifier on the night when he correctly guesses the lynch. But when he killed Foog, your NA list says he guessed Nemo. What happened?
  3. This is a good springboard from which to shed that persona for the next game.
  4. And since this has become a new tradition, my role PM:
  5. Annoying pisslady? I think def put it best on the dead writeboard: this Scum team was selfless and showed great teamwork. That's what led to our win. That, and we took advantage of some discourse amongst Townies. We also began planning right away. We had fake PMs to each other and decided to be proactive early so we didn't have to be reactive when accused. This put us out in front and less likely to be questioned. We also did a lot of WIFOM, engaging in activities that it is commonly thought Scum would never engage in like making accusations or voting first. We were all ready with fake roleclaims. That was a lot of fun. I got the nostalgic feel of old-school Mafia playing this. It was about having fun playing a game. Nice. TinyPies, your hosting is second to none. I love the pictures and the story telling and all the detail you put in. Your sense of humor is great and your willingness to let me hit people with rolling pins (which almost got me lynched) is much appreciated. I know my in-thread game was much more subdued than normal but I put on a show behind the scenes. Oh, the PMs!!! Bob, WhiteFang and especially def and fhomess who let themselves get bussed to strengthen our position as trusted Townies, you all rock! It was such a pleasure playing with you. Rick, Scuba, CallMePie and especially Cornelius, I apologize for all of the Scummy manipulation. If it makes you feel any better, Karma bit me in the megablocks and I drove around Miami for two hours tonight looking for a hotel. I'm pretty sure that's for lying to you guys. Great game, everybody! Can't wait to start dissecting all of the little moments, but it's almost 3 here, so talk to you all later! Much love! And congratulations to Bob, first survival win!
  6. One, great job Scum team, everyone played their part so well. Two, there's an odd dichotomy to playing a game where you have to lie to friends and I fear I may have crossed the line a bit here. I won't celebrate the win until I know those I lied to the most aren't pissed at me.
  7. vote: Patrekr the Red (Palathadric)
  8. It looks like Draggy knows of one coming up and this is his forum, so probably soon.
  9. Are you guys serious?
  10. I was referring to this: I mean this: Belittling what other people say is counter-productive. We've seen framers / tailors here many times. You bristle every time it's brought up. You started the day with a discussion about Canute being a Godfather. Why do you think there's a Godfather?
  11. From what I was told, Mursi was the one who found something suspicious in a PM from Finn and that was what led to the investigation. I doubt Mursi would give up one of his own if they had two kills coming. Lynching Finn stopped the Scum from winning last night. If there is a Godfather, I would suspect you, Snotra, before Canute. You resisted the Finn lynch. You, along with Dufa, were part of that weird theory that Sigrid must be Scum. And you're constantly trying to undermine the Town's progress, yet you want to know all the information from Night Actions. You try to stop any discussion about a framer or about them being able to switch the kills around. Why don't you want people talking about those things? And why do you need to know who the investigator targeted right when the night starts?
  12. That's an interesting way to look at it. So maybe the Scum have a doubling ability? Sounds like something Loki could be capable of.
  13. Naemr was the blocker. Do you mean Lefsi? He was the watcher.
  14. I don't think Harald would've told us it's lynch or lose if the Scum could kill two of us again tonight. Maybe Finn was a vengeful spirit?? But then why would it be blacked out... Shenanigans indeed.
  15. I agree with this. We know now that Finn infiltrated two of the roles. According to Mursi, once Jarni was killed, Finn was left out of all Night Action conversations. There's something to this two kill thing though. Two separate killers, same M.O. So it's not a motivator giving one killer two kills, it's two Scum killers. They're standing right next to each other. Am I right? That's really aggravating, Odin. We were hindered enough by the Einherjar hemorrhage of the first two days. We nabbed a clever Scum yesterday and the Scum jump back ahead by getting two kills. Why?
  16. You have to go to Mafia School first but you can't be lazy or chicken. But you can have that name.
  17. Harald blatantly told us it's lynch-or-lose. How the hell were there two kills last night? One step forward, two steps back. I know what I think is happening. I don't see any reason to hold anything back at this point, but I'll confer with what's left of the Town block before blurting out all of my suspicions.
  18. Thanks for the fun interlude and all the elaborate story-telling, TPRU. This is a very well-hosted game. Great Poem! Merry Winter Solstice.
  19. It's going to be a very long night. Everyone planning to be quiet again?
  20. You are so smart! These are so beautiful!
  21. So, Jarni was a weak tracker? Would his results include who his target targeted? Watcher might be able to get more results, but it's harder to use. The Town needs to guess correctly who will be killed. Tracker can be dangerous for you if you had told Jarni and Lefsi you were vanilla and actually did something at night. Jarni would've been able to find you out pretty quickly for that.
  22. Vote: Finn the Squinter (fhomess)
  23. Are you expecting a confession? I'm not refusing anything. I don't understand why you seem so suspicious of the same investigator that cleared you. And at the same time, aren't acknowledging how much damage revealing everything can do to the Town, if Finn is Scum. If you think Finn is Town and someone in the Town block is Scum or the investigation was tampered with, I don't see where you're getting that from. Tell us what's making you think this. If the investigator is to be trusted, I can't see why the Scum would've framed Finn, considering he wasn't on anybody's list of suspicions. He was on Patrekr's, but he listed Lefsi as more suspicious of the two.
  24. Ah, yes. I see. I don't mean we'd lose tonight but if we told them who was who, considering there are likely 4 or 5 more of them, they would have quite an arsenal of Actions to cause us major damage at night, so let's not give them a paint-by-numbers for Rangnarok. Even telling them who is verified tells them exactly what Townies they can try to get lynched and which ones to kill at Night. I agree and I believe all of the people involved in the Town block have basic counting skills as well. If there were a problem with the quantity of confirmed Townies, I'm sure one of the PRs would tell you about it since you were one of the ones cleared by them. But it sounds like the investigator got a Scum result, so I see no reason not to follow it. The Town block just turned up a result we can work with. Do you have reason to believe that Finn is not Scum? What else would you propose we do today?
  25. I disagree with that. Alerting them that one of them was caught before the Night Actions were finalized would be rash, in my opinion. If Mursi knew, I assume the Town PRs adjusted their Night Actions accordingly. Maybe he can confirm for us. I actually think the revelation could've waited longer. I do agree that the Scum may only need one mislynch to win this. But, I don't think we should panic and lay everything out in the open. What are you proposing? If there's an investigation result on the table that gives us a Scum, we definitely have a tomorrow. Finn knew Jarni had a Night Action. The investigator got a Scum result on him. If we caught a Scum but reveal all of the Night Actions, we could lynch a Servant but then lose the game in the night. I don't follow this. Can you elaborate?
