May I ask what do you think is so amazingly playable for kids in a Mount Doom set... unless you want to keep destroying the ring everyday..... Mount Doom would be even less playable than Bag End.

Well Its not October release date... its just Hungarian October release... a guy from Hungary said their release dates are ''several'' months behind... for example they still do not have current Hobbit sets from wave 2.... so it is likely its still July release...

If you check better you see 1 number is missing which is 99% exclusive set ending on 16 I think... so its 100% four Id say

I would probably buy 90% less LEGO.... or keep buying old figs (Uruk hais) till they do not sky rocket too much for my liking.... I just checked but since I came from my dark ages I spent 80.7% of all LEGO spent on LOTR or Hobbit (and hobbit is big minority here)

Yeh but Brickset just made uneducated guess..... Good thinking man.... yeh no 100$ and 9.99-14.99$ set in Hobbit wave (and here it looks like it) can truly mean thats those sets.... However Our Hungarian friend here said sets in his country are several months late which speaks hard in favor of Summer wave (which was LOTR till now) Isnt the retailer catalog out yet??? Can noone confirm anything ?

Yep I just dont see how Balrog is not 1 set of those (if its LOTR) It was actually built as seen on some older LEGO pictures in that room..... and its probably top 5 iconic moments of LOTR....

I somehow see more the other way around... 35€ = Balrog and Gandalf + 1-2 figs (Boromir, Frodo, Moria Orc archers) and 50 or even 60€ = exclusive Witch King.... Why such reasoning? Because Witch king would likely introduce MUCH more new molds and printings including Fell Beast (likely) Witch King helmet, Barding printing, Eowyn, Merry (if included which is likely in Rohan armor) and even possible Gothmog (which would be logical to round 5 figs for a 50 or 60 price point set) for 90€ set I can also see Gates of Minas Tirith with Grond .....

Well why I am 90% sure its LOTR is I just cant see TLG releasing ''only'' 4 sets for the final movie of Hobbit.... it seems so wrong and especially illogical.... Personally i would expect 5-6 sets + possibly 1 exclusive.

Well if its the last wave and if TLG is looking overall... its not hard to MOC Treebeard out of the Ent from Orthanc.... Even for us who ''hate'' or dislike to MOC it takes about 30-40 pieces to make Treebeard out of that Ent.... Currently you need a whole make up plan for Balrog...

If these are real...granted after some research Hungarians (shops or whatever) combined LOTR and Hobbit in 1 name to make them 1 line and only add LOTR or Hobbit at end.... I think Hobbit will nto get released at October... that would be insane for marketing point of view.... So if the release date HOLDS I am 99% these are LOTR.... Now to the price points..... 12€ set..... hard to say..... 35€ price point.... I would love it to be Balrog + Gandalf + maybe Boromir and Frodo..... or even Boromir and 1 Moria Orc Archer..... However I love Balrog I would choose Gondorian battle pack over Balrog any day :D (in the type of uruk-hai army) 90€ now thats a tricky one..... if 35€ would indeed be Balrog (which is highly likely) allthough a WEIRD price point usually either 30 or 40 (39.99 bla bla) then I would PREFER if 90€ = Witch King on fell beast + Osgilliath ''assault'' and not Witch King on pelennor.... Ideal for me It would be: 12€ = Galadriel + Frodo or Boromir + Lurtz 35€ = Balrog + Gandalf + Moria orc Archer + Boromir (seem fair 30 or 40€ price point for 3 figs!) likely 50€ or 60€ exclusive Witch King + Theoden on Snowmane with barding and Eowyn and Merry and possibly even 1 Haradrim or Gothmog Orc Leader 90€ Assault on Gates of Minas Tirith featuring Grond 1 Armored Troll, Gandalf the White, 2 Mordor Orcs, 2 Gondor Archers (with a armory part behind wall that also includes 2x new printed white tree shields!) and possibly Faramir or Denethor.... I personally see 2 more ideas that could come from 90€ price point and those are: - Assault on Osgilliath featuring ruins of Osgilliath 2-3 mordor orcs, Gothmog, Faramir, 1x Gondor Soldier, 1x Gondor Ranger maybe even Damrod - (1 that might slightly surprise all) a magnificent Mumakil with Haradrim on them (2x archer + leader) possibly even 2x ''mumakil if they reuse the Elephant modl and enlarge it a little only perhaps or not even) with Eomer and another Rohan Soldier on Horse....

If some Western layout City that got rejected on Cuusoo got 10k votes before minas Tirith... which (if done right) would be million times better and more awe inspiring than ANY Western City from ''Texas'' than it says it all.... All i am doing is wording it for people who cannot connect the dots to read it :) If you cannot ''survive'' the ''harsh'' words I wonder how come you did not ''die'' yet in this harsh world.... and that was also truth not rude....

It seems its ''crappy'' for everyone except 2400 supporters really :) I mean if it would not be, everyone would register and vote for it.... 2400 votes for arguably the most adored fiction book (+ movies) in ''history'' is a poor showing to say the least.... The point is IT IS crappy.... I bet even those who supported it, if they could envision a true Minas Tirith it would be 10 times better.... they just supported it because its the best of the worst and also because you guys do not think what it would look the best but how to match a price point.... So you openly ''destroy'' actual opinion.... Thats the whole point.... most arguments that came back to me include ''show better that is ECONOMICALLY possible'' and that actually ruins all good, bad, okish, arguing because Noone said it has to fill a 140$ or 120$ or 90$ etc.... A cuusoo project is limited in 10.000 or 20.000 anyway... so Why could we not think of a 500$ 20.000 limited run Minas Tirith... that is actually Minas Tirith....

The only way for Minas Tirith to be made does not make it NOT crappy.... I agree its one of the few options but that makes it no less crappy.... Just in white more or less and some black topings for roofs.... and make it Chrome tower atleast the last bit. This MOC above is around 100 times more realistic than that Minas Tirith above.... The fact that it ''only'' got 2400 votes for probably the coolest City in Middle Earth from LEGO and LOTR fans of millions and anyone who is a LEGO fan a little more than the next Soccer mom knows of Cuusoo shows that the projection is pretty bad.... I bet there are hundreds if not thousands more like me who love LEGO LOTR but absolutely hate that piece of white whatever. A LOTR sets would only sell if 1. They are needed to complete fellowship! 2. AFOL who is above 14 looks at them and says ''THIS is what I want because it looks beautiful'' And that Minas Tirith Above is neither.... As I said ages ago.... make it Courtyard with White Tower and then also make 1st level of wall + gates + Grond (or even add siege tower) 2 perfect sets to fit 140$ cost... or even make COurtyard with Tower D2C like Orthanc and make it 200$ set.... A full Minas Tirith in 1 set only works if the price point is the same or even higher than Death Star.

Stop pushing and advertising for this crappy design of Minas Tirith... those who want will find it and those who do not obviously do not care enough.... Really... A Minas Tirith like that makes the actual Minas Tirith a huge shame.... and thats it.... you can say you like it just cos you want it made.... but that is no Set material there....

Exactly.... Helm's Deep alone with uruk-hai Army was better than all 4 sets of the 2nd wave..... I would even say its better than Orthanc.... but thats because I would prefer a non-play set of Orthanc for display (aka without Ent and Gandalf and Eagle) My dream Orthanc would be a set that closes (like Haunted House) and comes with Grima, Saruman and like 10 Orcs However if there is no other LOTR waves I will buy 1 Pirate Ship Ambush just to keep it sealed for future.... Also would get another Mines of Moria if I can find them below 58€

Yep without the advertisment on the back of instructions of wave 2 for Hobbit that is the strongest hint of NO MORE LOTR.... Thats a safe assumption looking to the past.... it can be different this time however unlikely....

Except that LEGO movie = LOTR + LR sets combined in numbers + some extra.... probably Galaxy Squad or even Castle....

As I read the new LEGO catalog has no LOTR sets inside ... not even Tower of Orthanc....

He might give 10% discount on here thanks to ebay fees taken away... maybe even 15%... who knows did anyone even try to negotiate :D

Yeah it does.... and that is our hope really... Allthough I must say I would prefer a good Balrog (from the LEGO game) as opposed to Witch king.... sadly Witch king has no other sets to accompany him and Balrog can feature more of moria which we already have 1 part.... I guess we shall see by the end of February unless retailers get catalog soon and someone can confirm something.
