This build is AMAZING as usual! I love everything about this Embassy. The letter was great, I really like the towers and their windows, the main tower is really nice - where did you get that bell from? I also really like the interior with the central fireplace, and it's chimneys. My favorite things by far though are the lift-arm tower and the lift-arm posts at the gate. I think they just look incredible. I love the Avalonia/Nocturnus clash you've created here. BEAUTIFUL!

This is great! I love all the details on the doors and walls. Great job!

Nice Bignette! I like the fir, the fence and the I would say you've done a good job with the landscaping. It's good to see another execution MOC. Nice job!

Amazing build again Cereberus. I love it. I too will comment fully once it has it's own page. Minnesota you say... -
Nice Cog! I really like the use of burlap/cloth for the sails - it adds a lot of character. I too like the hull pieces. Nice job!

Along the line of badges, Z where did you get the Elven shield badge from? -
I always keep the sets assembled for a while, because I have to overcome my want to keep the sets together. I finally broke up my Rogue Shadow a month ago for parts, because I'm never going to use that ship in a MOC. With the smaller sets it's easier, but once I start getting into the $50-100 range, I have a hard time breaking them up unless I need the parts immediately for something.

Agreed, it's jealousy. I agree that the Kaliphlin side is bare, but Kaliphilin is mostly desert after all, correct? I really like the Mitgardia terrain, as well as the trees. I like how each corner has a guild-ish twist to it's border. Well done! I look forward to seeing the finished product.

I agree with you. I still appreciate well made sets, and the novelty of cool locations (Home One and new Jabba's Palace) but to me it's figures, figures, figures. I can build better versions of most of the sets they release (with the exception of a few ships and vehicles) and it's figures that I need now. That's why I've appreciated all the new figs they've been releasing the last few years. That is also why good battle packs trump all else to me (Stormie/Rebel Troopers, Hoth/Snowies, Endor) because I can actually build up my army without having to bricklink figs at $6-10 a piece. I have no problem paying $10 -15 for Aayla or Quinlan or Bib, but it's the non-uniques that I have the most demand for.

The first thing that caught my attention was the many different styles you used with the different builds, giving this a totally cosmopolitan feel. I really like the originality of this MOC, and it captures the whole city feel. Great job with this, There is just so much going on here!

This embassy is Fantastic! One of my favorites. It is beautifully done with the landscaped area with the lava, and the great roofwork and wooden boarding of the towers. You've packed a lot into a small space. I agree that the druid is a great touch. The corners of your walls are great, so many things I love about this one. Great job!

This is a very nice ship. It retains more of a castle feel than a pirate feel. I really like your decorations with the sand red (I think) pieces. It really adds to the ship. I also like your creative use of sails on the ship. The aft (I think that means front) sail is for protection, not propulsion, right?

Another great MOC! You always have great colors in your MOCs. I really like carraige, especially the snaked and curved slopes on top. The stream and bridge are great, and I really like the tree. I actually bricklinked a bunch of those brown technice pieces myself to try out, and you've done a great job with them here. Quality MOC, as usual! -
Nice MOC Sandman! I do like the use of the red roofing since we don't see at as much (used to be all I had long long ago ) I like the windows and shutters, as well as the torches out front and the combination of panelling and bricks. Avalonia shall be well represented in the Frozen wastes of Mitgardia.

I'm seriously considering attending this year. I live up in Milwaukee, so this would be just a quick drive. Maybe we could have an Avalonia display, or better yet a Guilds of Historica display...? Edit: Just registered. I'm definitely going for only $60.00 Sweeeet. Edit: Edit: I could have bought 400 modified 1x1 bricks with that money....what have I done! Thanks Mikey. I was pretty happy with my Embassy when I posted it, but I am seeing way too many great Embassy builds over the last week. I think everyone is upping their game for this 2nd challenge. I look forward to seeing yours! -
We've got all of these already except the Rebel Combat Tank. I would rather see new version over re-releases (even though I thought the newest AAT was far and away better than the previous ones). I would prefer that the Combat Tank be a $40 or $50 set instead, otherwise we'll end up with a scaled down version that doesn't match the IFT and AAT.

LEGO Star Wars 2012 Pictures and Rumors
Rogue Angel replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
They are the same species (Twi'lek) but they could do different Leku positioning (although I doubt they will). I think it's great to get a new shade of Twi'lek. With most Alien species, we have one mold in one set color, so it is very hard to do a MOC with more than one of a lot of alien species. Granted Wookies all look the same, but it was really nice to get a new Rodian headpiece IMO, and I am really looking forward to Oola. -
This is AMAZING! I hadn't seen this before, so I'm glad someone bumped it. This is the scale that I plan to build my Star Wars MOCs at someday - matching my Falcon and Imp Shuttle. I've been picking up the figs and vehicles/fighters, but I'll eventually have to buy the sheer bulk pieces required for a build this size. I LOVE this!

I can only imagine how many prototype sets they've made over the years. They've probably tried out most of the things we suggest at one time or another. I would imagine for every 1 sets that is released, there were 10 ideas that didn't make it.
-
Well that's a whole lot more disappointing IMO. I had just seen that up in the corner of the case and got excited thinking we'd get an Ewok village - but then I read this... :(
-
I see a Yavin 4 playset! Also, the red TIE from CUUSOO, a Trade guild capital for Ep 2, They could not have gotten better position for this pic. All the Star Wars stuff is right up front! Great find!

All it takes is a Clone Wars appearance, and they could make it, (Mon Cal apprentice, Freeco Speeder, etc.)

You have no proof of anything, Drow. An elf cannot enter a Drow city unmolested, we know this from experience. You probably have a villain in your midst -- oh wait, All Drow are villains, so it is surprising you can keep your cities running, let alone retain one piece of treasure. We Elves will be very surprised to these Gladiator Games conclude peacefully. Bloodless!? Ha! We think not! -

In response to the question below, Technically Drow are Elves, but they never refer to themselves as such, nor would we Elves. They are a subrace of less than elves. -
I had been only posting on Star Wars when I started out, but now I have been so involved with the Guilds of Historica, that I keep dropping below the 25% mark. I know that I will have well over that in the long run, but I keep losing count of all my posts, and have to go back through again. Over half my collection is Star Wars, so I split my time between here and Castle. I have always checked out all the creations, but never posted like I should. Now that I post MOCs myself, I realize that I should have been doing this all along.
