I believe I fit the criteria for the Tag. I would love to get my first one. I was more a lurker for two long years, but now I think I'm committed for life .

That's true, plus I always assume there is going to be about a 20% price increase for a set (I hadn't really thought this way until the last 3 or 4 years) so that would bump this up from $100 to $120(Licensed) to $140 (inflation )to $150 ($140 is a pretty underused price point for Lego, and there has been an influx of $150 sets lately) This would definitely make it less appealing.

This is a good idea! I would love to see more vehicles with generic troopers, and the SW: Battlefield games have some great vehicles to use, like the AAC-1. They've already released the TX-130 http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/TX-130_Saber-class_fighter_tank , (and I love this set) and the NR-N99 http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/NR-N99_Persuader-class_droid_enforcer , but I would like to see them scale the sets a little better. The TX was a little big, but the NR-N99 was tiny, and totally underscaled.

Edit: I missed the comment on cost above - The viking set was around $100 I think, and if you figure $2-3 per figure with 32 figs, that's $64-96, so I think you're right on track for around $100. It doesn't matter what figs are Bricklinking/E-Baying for, it is a generic cost/part for Lego.

I think this is a good idea, with a little more to it i.e. bases for some characters, or a rook piece that is an atgar laser cannon or something similar. I think you could spice it up a little and make a very attractive low price range chess set. I have also seen some really fancy ones, but they would have to sell more at the $200-300 range at minimum. I think this is a great idea, and if you refine the timeline/characters and add a little flair to it, you may have a winner. (It is my opinion that looks count for a LOT on CUUSOO because it's all about making your creation POP and getting people's attention. I really like how it looks official!)

These look great! I got really excited at first (despite the fact that I read "twice the scale"). Too bad they're not minifig scale, as that's all I have decided to focus on for my builds.

They are always going to include the regular figs, it's Jabba, Salacious, Oola and Leia in Boushh disguise that I'm excited about. Very similar to Home One With Ackbar and Mon Mothma. I don't think Lego would make a major set like this without some of the main characters, and the kids getting the sets want Han and Chewie over any of these other figs.

I have seen a couple black hairpieces, but they have all been customs.

They are indeed the werewolf headpieces. I was a little hesitant to use them at first, but I am very happy with them now. Still waiting on black and white versions.

Nice ship! I like the use of the technic blades, and the batarang as a hair piece. I also like the crow's nest. It's nice to start seeing ships on here.

I'd rather have Talon, drop the Stormies, and some basecamp structure similar in size to Yoda's hut. If we don't get Talon then , we will never get him.

A. There were a number of small entries in the top 5 from each guild for the top 5, including yours. Bigger can mean better, because there are multiple floors instead of 1, or there is room for a large interior, or you can just fit more "stuff" in a larger MOC, but that has not been the governing criteria thus far. B. The point of the Guilds is to give people a chance to showcase their MOCs, and become better builders. Yes, it is nice to win and say "Mine is the Best" but there's no 1 builder on here that can win every challenge, and there's always going to be a better builder, or someone with more pieces. C. Having only had 1 contest so far, it's pretty hard to start accusing judges of favoritism. If we got 3 or 4 contests in, and the same 3 or 4 people kept making it in the top 5, then I could see some grounds for it, but I personally have seen no evidence of it thus far. D. Derfel has indeed commented on your first 2 MOCs. I think that activity on the forum has been relatively light since Christmas, but hopefully that will pick up soon, and then there will be more comments.

I will be editing the timeline when I get home to "vague things up" a little better for the last 1000 years, and will be adding sub-historiezfor Circadia and anyone else that wants to post.

I agree that the Wild Karrde would be rather difficult without being a midi, which in turn may not include minfigs. I could see Thrawn with Rukh, and maybe some Salmrissi (prob spelled wrong), or even with a Jodo Kast alternate. ' Could also see Karrde with Mara, some Vornskyrs, maybe a new Luke, maybe with Mara's Z-95... (which they have yet to make )

In 2012, I would like to see: Mos Eisley Cantina - with more aliens this time Yavin IV playset, similar to the MOC that's up right now, with Dodonna, and some rebel personnel Death Star Gunner station or Superlaser control room with Tarkin, Vader and DS troopers (I would never expect this to actually get made, but I can hope.) Cloud City revisited - could be a couple of smaller sets (dining room, han & Leia's cell, Luke vs Han battle; these sets would be similar to the 3 RoJ DS sets that came out years back), or could be another big set like the original. Executor Bridge - with Boba, Dengar, IG-88, Zuckuss and 4-LOM (PLEASE!!!!) I would also like to see sets that included some more alien species, even though they've been doing a pretty good job so far. I would like to see Whipids, Klatoonians, Weequays, Quarren, etc. And my Dream set would include Talon Karde, Mara Jade and Thrawn.... If only

Agreed, I think that the classic male hairpiece actually matches pretty well for Han. I could see some small changes, but that is his general haircut.

You could say that the peace has existed between the guilds. There are islands around the continent, bordering lands that are not at peace, but it would still be considered peace between the guilds. Avalonia joined after it had become peaceful, so technically the peace wouldn't be broken...

Or MAYBE the other guilds had to worry about Nocturnus and the Drow, so they couldn't risk sending troops into Avalonia, but thankfully Artorious came along. It's usually the Drow's fault. We Elves blame them for most things... plagues, droughts, taxes, bad ear days, everything!

Derfel wants the 2 year old guild, not 102 year old guild. You had to know that completely changing the history of the guild might not fly. I added in Kevean as the warlord that Artorious defeated, but I can change the name to something else if you prefer.

Nice MOC, I would love to see a wall behind Maul. My only beef is Obi-Wan's hairpiece. Crewcut?

I really hope that Han in Carbonite doesn't count. In the prelims, there was a 10th figure, but there's no definition to it, so it's impossible to tell who it may be. Salacious, Boushh, Oola and Jabba will be awesome. I'm really hoping for someone cool on the last fig, especially if it's a $150 set like Diagon Alley.

I'm only so-so on the deer head, but I can't think of a better way to do larger antlers.
