E.T. The Extra Terrestrial Poster MOC
Darth Legolas replied to LegoLyons's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Thanks these are all great! Anytime you want to make a Star Wars poster... Just kidding. -
Take some Freedom Fries, frogs legs eater! Wait... you are from France right? I mean no offense, it was a joke. I've been to France. Nice place. Someone really should make another MOC! There've only been two so far!

That thank you did now begin with a capital letter or end in a punctuation mark! Anyway, here are my thoughts on this, Mr. Mysterious double accounter, whoever you are. I know seeing as you obviously have some other member slot on EB, you've already experienced our rules. I don't really take the Mods as ruining the fun, as I see some of them are quite funny. (Go Sigfried!) But here you see, the main thing mods here don't tolerate is spam and pointlessness. I don't know much about running a forum but I know about a little thing called BANDWIDTH, and if that is exceeded it costs a whole lotta cash $$$! Now this is a free site, where people can connect to talk sabout the common interest, Lego, which we all know and love. If you post something like "hey wazzup lookit my new site" randomly in a topic, chances are you will be banned. If you stick to talking like a normal person would, you'll live a happy life here on EB. Now we're not criticizing people who speak English, considering this is a European site, but it's the current leading Language in people who would post on a site like this. Someone, please quote this! EDIT: Holy Wampas on Tatooine, please don't tell me a rebellion is beginning! But really, is this some kind of revolution, because the last time I checked revolutions were sooo 1700's.

Ouch! I think you just got yourself another strike. EB is an AFOL site, so we really, REALLY don't tolerate nonsense. I guess getting all pouty won't help you at all. Well, bye!

I'd say this set would be really good to loot for parts! I might get it!

E.T. The Extra Terrestrial Poster MOC
Darth Legolas replied to LegoLyons's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Great job! I love the way you did this! I also love the background! Can you please link me to the other posters? -
Sorry for the double post, but eat this! Get it, eat, and it's about fast food? Anyway, here it is, the iconic symbol of my country. No, not freedom, but Pizza, Soda, Hot Dogs, and Hamburgers! And the best part is, the pictures are blurry. Do you know what that means, another iconic symbol of America, laziness! Yay! To begin with, the Fattymobile Fast Food Truck. The brilliant hod dog cart! Pretend it says "ford" in the blank white space in the front. The truck hits a bump! Ooh, money is inside! *Cough* Capitalism *Cough* Oh no! No hot dogs! Take the money and run! There's your inspiration.

Think about this: American Revolution! Say hello to McDonaldsbricks! By the way, great job Polish Guy!

Great idea! I would use the troll and devil head, but I'm not really for the wolf-man idea. Voolvif Monn's most noticeable feature is his snout, which isn't on that minifig head. A brown painted version of the old Wolf-Man mask that was in studios and Harry Potter's Shrieking Shack works nicely for me.

Welcome to Eurobricks! This is truly a great model, but I have some suggestions that would make it look more like the real thing! First off, all of that blue and black can be covered up easily. Maybe a little is good to make a shadow or something like that, but you have excess. Second, you can put a bottom half on. It doesn't have to be gray though, just as long as it looks more 3-D This is really good so far!

Back in '05 at my local TRU I was depressed for a month after walking in and not a single Star Wars set had any of the light-up try me Jedi left in them. Everyone had ripped out and stole one. I do think that Lego has learned their lesson by now though, seeing as I doubt they made a profit from selling those, and from the looks of the cover of the book, the minifig is safe inside.

Wow that's huge! Excellent job on the detail! When you go into each room, do you lift off each floor of the tower?
-
May I just but in and see exactly what you're voting on? It's obvious it's got something to do with Bionicle, but are you the storyline team or something? What does the outcome mean?

Howdy my fellow Americans! I've got a challenge for y'all. Man my computerized accent is stereotypical. As any good American, and maybe even a few Europeans know, Saturday id our independance day, fireworks, colonial battles, and cheeseburgers! So, over thew next few days, make as many 4th of July themed MOCs as you can. This is NOT a contest. So you can range from an American red white and blue mosaic to the Battle of Yorktown, hey, maybe even make a red, white, and blue Bionicle? Star Wars fans, think about this, a Stormtrooper, Bespin Guard, and Royal Guard? Maybe for CW Fans a Clone Trooper, Senate Commando, and Red Guard? You could also make a red, white, and blue minifig collection, or go all out and make a huge fireworks display It's up to you, just round up all of your patriotism. (Please do not get political as this tends to cause problems, thank you!) EDIT: Everyone can participate, not just Americans. It'll be for a good laugh to so show some Red Coats kickin' Blue Coat butt.

Review: Gold Minifig Keychain
Darth Legolas replied to Erdbeereis's topic in General LEGO Discussion
If the promo had been anything Star Wars I would just die, considering I made a HUGE order two days before the promo came to the U.S. Thanks for the review! -
Congratulations! It's always good when you can get what you want when you want it.
-
You know, you could give some suggestions on improving it. Anywho, on the subject of this bumped topic, I think it'd be nice if you added that little droid that picked up lava.
-
What was the last movie you watched?
Darth Legolas replied to EbonHawk's topic in Culture & Multimedia
I'm not sure, but I might consider all that Star Wars a little like Brainwashing. Anyway, I just watched Episode III on Spike. "Don't do it Anakin!" -
I agree with you. The black droid could be either Ra-7 or the other one, but truly both are so unimportant that it would be a stupid idea to make a new head mold if you ask me. It stinks that the Chrome Trooper was pushed back though. I think it's because to many people ordered it!
-
I'm just dying for when I get my AT-OT and Dropship! It's now ordered. Of course, when the RBR/Tantive IV comes out, it's time to start saving again! So back on topic, I'm predicting that TLG will continue making OT and CW sets for at least Winter 2009-2010, and then if that show about Boba Fett ever comes into existence maybe they'll switch from CW to that. Probably not though. There still always is room for a couple of Expanded Universe sets like we've been getting, and maybe once in a while a special from PT. Next year I'll definitely be looking forward to newer remakes of old OT sets though! (And please, please a Hoth Wampa Cave Battle! Frome Episode V!)
-
Actually, for those baby trees that have a straight thin stick for a trunk, this looks just like em. If you want to go with one of the larger trees like the ones where I live, you should make the body more irregular and try to use as many different shades of brown as you can. Don't forget your tree needs roots! I love the top of the tree though!

I think it's be fine if Lego keeps on going with the half OT half CW line. They have stuff for the young people (and me), and then they have the stuff for everyone else. I think there's no reason to challenge any of the OT sets. If you think CW is more popular and worthwhile than OT...you're waaaay off. Being the loser that I am I was at TRU and I saw to gets laughing at Darth Vader's TIE saying it was waaay out and CW was the way to go. I was ready to bop em' on the head! So the point is, studies and polls prove OT is more popular than CW, which is why Lego is making those sets, while CW is popular among kids, their main audience. I don't even know why I like CW! I guess I just like the pieces.

Try Episode IV, the FIRST MOVIE?
-
Oh yeah, that sounds about right. It still would be easier to do it with the two wheels on the sides.
-
Is it just me, or is the front of the bike melted to the tricicly part? But seriously, the easiest (extremely easy) way to make a tricicle would be to buy two bikes and take out the wheel in the middle of the bike your making into a trike, and fit two wheels into each side. You can even make a quad bike that way!
