Well then where's the glory? It's a good idea...but kind of counter productive. I think the bast thing to do is buy a normmal vader, put tape over the stud and connecting areas, remove the cape and lightsaber and spray them in that shiny "enamel" stuff that's too thin to block movement but makes it all shiny and chrome-tastic. Except I never tried that and it probably doesn't work. But what's so important about a chrome Vader anyway? There are 400 other versions! Or at least three.

The Tantive's definitely resting on that round funny thing with the knobs. Oky Wan's right. The engines are big and heavy enough, but the rest of the ship is long enough to keep a perfect balance. Of course, anyone would have preferred real landing gear, but as long as it can sit on a table with out leaning to one side, it's good to me. I guess we can scrap the rumor of a double-headed Antilles, but I'm not sure why Lego would go through all the trouble of giving him a smiley face if not to change anything else?

What do you think of this year's Comic Con set's?
Darth Legolas replied to Cyclone Titan's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Collectors would probably pay $50 on Bricklink just for the Dropship! -
I have no idea what POP is, but it's got sweet minifigs. It's obviously Disney so I would never like it anyway. I personally think it would be Lego's ultimately dumbest move ever to replace IJ with this... weird stuff. But the minifigs are still cool!

I noticed right after I posted the topic. Is there a poll edit anywhere?

I agree with the Prince Of Persia minifigures, but you've got me wrong here on my opinion with the Toy story minifigs. I had always been saying they'd look like freaks, and you are correct though, they are indeed something new. What they aren't though, is Lego. I'm pretty good with distinguishing types of plastic, and although I don't know for sure, and these are preliminary, they seem to be the same plastic as the 2009 Yoda head. It's not too easily recognizable as Lego. Besides the awesome Toy soldiers (Helmet ,) these parts from the Toy story minifigures can never be used as anything else. Their hats aren't even detachable! The only good things to come out of this besides the Toy Soldiers are those freakishly long legs on the Cowgirl and rainbows of recolors!

New worst part! Those complete and utter disgusting horrendous...hideous excuses for Lego in the Disney Toy story heads! Even three-year-olds will say "I want my Lego heads!" These things are downright stupid! The Prince Of Persia minifigs could really come in handy, so good job on that TLG, but that mess of Toy story is disgusting. But as long as they don't make "Disney Channel" minifigures, normality can be contained. Or else we'd have to bring out the trash compactor!

The mini LAAT/C and the mini. The Republic Gunship mini isn't included, if that's what you're asking. Off Topic: Seriously, I'm still waiting for that apology!

What do you think of this year's Comic Con set's?
Darth Legolas replied to Cyclone Titan's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I won't name name's, but a few people calling it no surprise were the one's getting all hyped up over the Phase II helmet! The Dropship could be a lot more detailed, but anyone notice the awesome feature that it latches on to the mini AT-TE? I need instructions. -
There! See. I think you all owe me an apology! The LAAT/C should be more detailed, but it's still a little cool. But who cares, I've got the real thing! And also, the Tantive IV cockpit is definitely printed as we an now see. So, do I get my prize?
-
Well...at least we get army helmets. And I'm sure Lego will get tons of money from the 5 and under fanbase. But hey... army helmets!

Are there plans to make more Harry Potter sets?
Darth Legolas replied to legocylon's topic in LEGO Licensed
Yup, Harry Potter 7-1 and Harry Potter 7-2. Some people say it's because the book's too long. Others (me,) say that producers are just money hungry! -
I was thinking about the possibility of the new Captain Antilles having a double sided head ( ,) and I realized, on this entire site of classy Lego snubs, I've never heard a single opinion about double sided heads. There are somethings all AFOLs can agree on, and everything else is controversy. Sort of like health care. So what do you think? I personally like them. It's annoying though, when Lego purposely makes new hair molds for someone with a double sided face, but you can still see it! EDIT: Thanks SlyOwl!

Well here's something oddly Lego related for me. I think a few members know this story already, but I was carrying down two of my favorite projects down the stairs, (a motorcycle rally stadium and something big and pirate related, each to me around four days to make and well over 500 pieces each, when I tripped and dropped both, fell on my face, skidded a few times and broke my toe. What a lovely story! And to think, I had to drag myself across a floor of Lego pieces with a borken toe to get to the phone and call the hospital. Tihs was sometime last year too.

No worries everyone, the cockpit is printed! It's a little weird that the windows are int the front and back, but hey, since the part is printed, it's good enough. Now somebody brought up that Lego did the same S@H thing with the AT-OT and Dropship. I noticed that too, they aren't UCS sets though. the only "System Scale" UCS was the MF, and that really wasn't, it just including minifigures. I'm praying that Antilles has a double printed face, that would be awesome! Sadly, it seems that a minifig cannot stand up while the roof is on the ship, but hey, you can't set up a battle with the roof on anyway! The Rebel probably does have gray legs, and it was just a digital mistake when they created that other picture. Now we know everything about the new Tantive IV, I am so ready to be proven right or wrong about the SDCC09 exclusive! By the way, I want my winnings in gold C3-POs, Chrome Vaders, Jango Fett's and Printed Boba's please! EDIT: Apparently, I like to press the enter button a lot, but besides that, they are listed as UCS sets on S@H. It's odd though, because they aren't really. They're just big famous sets.

Great! Even though two of the pictures are just enlarged from the box, we get a better idea of the set. The cockpit is great, the escape pods do fit two minifigs cramped, and the engine lights are those 2X2 plates that are round on the bottom, in trans-yellow. We can definitely mod the interior into a hallway, as it should be.
-
Think about this! It's really surprising to me how similar this story is with me and the Venator! And that's besides the copy of the desk. First, we saw a cruddy picture of the Venator. I hated it. Samething with the RBR, but I didn't hate it, seeing as I was waiting for newer pictures to come in. Then I started worrying about the price. Same here. Eventually, the price turns out fine, and new great pictures come in. Finally, we have to mod the set. I am transplanting Palpatine's Venator office into my own, Square Senate building! (The project began a few days ago, so it should be finished in August. It'll be square though. Back to the point, to make the RBR perfect, we be rid of the silly desk for Leia and replace it with the famous fallway! Ta-da!
-
Sorry, but if you look at this picture (link,) and look at the cutout of the inside, that entire area is taken up by Leia's "office." I don't recall ever seeing her office in the movie, so you could divide it up into two corridors by Modding anyway. One way could be the hall where the famous battle seen takes place, and the second half could be the side where Leia gives R2 the plans.
-
Well no word on the main set, but these are pretty cool. It's a nice giveaway (or buy away, I guess,) but it's not necessary. Something nice, but all of these minifigures are obtainable elsewhere. Of course it's great how they had 3 OT and 3 Clnoe Wars, perfectly balanced! Now we just have to wait for the main set... the suspension's killing me! Sorry KimT, I'll be on this topic all day. How exciting!
-
Indeed, it's just the Rebel face like the other one but smiling. Maybe the eye brows are different, but it's hard to tell.
-
Wow! That desk is a total rip off of Palpatine's in the Venator! But hey, this actually has some nice features! In fact, I think it looks a lot better now that we've seen more pictures! (Didn't somebody say that already?) All eleven engines, two escape pods (obviously, in plane site,) We all guessed the minifigs perfectly, Leia, Antilles, Rebel, and R2 and C3-PO! Obviously, as was said in the first place it's minifig scaled. The cockpit actually looks pretty roomy. It's $150, as we guessed, and to tell you the truth it seems big enough for me! 1,408 pieces, what's to complain about? I think we all owe some apologies to this set.
-
Okay! This is the last time! My posts keep disappearing in outline mode! I want to be able to see them, and I want to know if other people can too! Come on, what makes this happen?
-
I knew I was flaming. Oh well, I'll be quiet now. Back on topic, is today the first day of SDCC, or tomorrow? Google tells me tomorrow, RoflWafls tells me today, and a link from DarthSion says yesterday! Also, when are the exclusives usually revealed? I've never really known.
-
Okay guys! Here's a little spark that makes the big bright lightbulb over everyone's head burn out! According to our never failing Wookiepedia (well it did fail once with Commander Fox,) the Phase II Clones are not entering the Clone Wars Animated series until possibly the end of season two. In fact, the creators are waiting out to see how long the show will last so they can find a good point to introduce Phase II armor into their show. Only the Battle Of Ryloth even happenned around the time of the Phase II armor was being created, and, if you follow the story, there is no timeline in the Clone Wars TV series. Different episodes and episode clusters could come in time before or after the next episode! Do you know what that means, TLG is very far from putting out Phase II's! And once again, the Phase II helmet you see on the box is a picture! Just a logo! Somebody please tell me, would all of this far off speculation be gone, if there was a Phase I helmet on the box? Once again, there is a possibility of an old Phase II helmet being in there, but a brand new mold is 0-0. Tomorrow is the first day of the ComiCon, so be ready! P.S. Can I have I prize if I guessed right, seeing as once again I'm the only one saying something different about a rumor? P.S.S. Is all of the bold font considered flaming? If so, I apologize.

Product Recall of 8879 PF IR Speed Remote Control
Darth Legolas replied to ILikePi's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Wow! Lego hasn't had a recall in like... ever! The last one I remember was the Duplo truck, which had a tendency to break of from the wheels while kids were riding n it. And I wanted this thing too! Oh well, I'll stick with NXT just in case any other PF pieces overheat and burn me.
