  1. FAO Schwartz in NY. I visited there once. They don't have the newest of the new, but it's pretty up to date. They probably have a little less than what an average TRU has. BUT: They have huge Lego models everywhere! It's great! A Batman Model, a Chewie, and four Harry potter giants, all made of Lego! I highly suggest going there.
  2. Wow! That helmet is way too close to Vaders. But come to think of it, this new edition does look like it comes with some good stuff. Too bad I won't be playing it, as my PC doesn't take games well and I have no gaming systems.
  3. It would be a good idea to tip your friend off to buy a couple extra of those exclusives. He/She can buy them for fifty, and sell them for hundreds!
  4. These are definitely all too big to be considered battlepacks! The biggest battlepack there is is the Defense of Echo Base and it's not officially a battlepack. The thing that distinguishes battlepacks from normal sets are that battlepacks contain 4-5 minifigs at most, and don't contain huge vehicles. So these would be great as set ideas, but these are all more than $15 each! P.S. I'd love a UT-AT, but it would have to be $60. A BP, once again, is at most $20!
  5. Good point. There is a possibility of new EU sets, possibly TFU. So there are no planned sets at the moment, and might not be for a while, but a Lego associate did mention TFU and new sets. But remember, the TFU set was an example, so it would be in the wrong context to read that he is saying there will be more TFU sets. Just more EU sets, which could be TFU. But, there is absolutely no chance of any of this being based off of the new hour of beta in the game's new edition. Lego will still base it off the original, because there will not be as much advertising based off the new game, which isn't really new. This could mean something, but at the most, the sets we would be getting would come in 2010, long after TFU 0.5. Not to mention the entire 0.5 of the DCL is all ret-con or non-canon. Does that make sense?
  6. I find it hilarious. Is there marketing strategy supposed to say "Play this castle strategy game and get a free girl?"
  7. Okay. There's got to be something wrong with me, as I jump on every chance to prove myself right. I apologize to the members I am tormenting with this poll, but I need to know. Is there a chance of there being any new TFU sets? Do you want them? Once again, apologies.
  8. TFU was canon, for the most part. It's officially part of the Star Wars time line. George Lucas had to pull a few strings and make a few characters deaths non-canon, but this game was actually canon. Also "says you," says nothing. I'm sure plenty of Lego and Star Wars fans would love a few TFU sets, but it's not a large enough fan base. Plus, you shouldn't be arguing with me, argue with Lego. I can't change anything. And maybe it's an hour of extra game play. It makes no difference. Lego has skipped over plenty of Star Wars sets. It's like asking them to make something based off of the two "Ewoks" movies. This game is more popular than those two, but it's not widely known in the Star Wars universe. It also isn't a movie. And don't Start hunting, because TFU isn't being planned as a movie. Maybe in 2011 or 12, but Lego still has no plan to make new sets. It's just pointless really, to argue here. I'll give you this, the next huge franchise video game such as TFU2, Lego would make sets out of, but new content on an old game is simply not worth it. Especially since they only made one set off of a whole video game, just another hour of game play will not even bring a new battlepack! EDIT: DarthSion, I apologize for the argument. Instead, I've started a poll which will settle this debate!
  9. Sabotaging OT, are you? An angry fan base shall pitchfork yee! (Better yet, Trash compactor, or Taun-Taun you, but those are over used.) I really don't like sounding like a pessimist, but the "new game" isn't new, it's got about 15 minutes added on to it, and enough people have the game who aren't Star Wars collectors who wouldn't get it again. Lego just doesn't do that. It's simply a video game, and the "sequel" would be non-canon. Lego has never made a non-canon Star Wars set. Even the TIE crawler was Canon, but I can use that as a very good example. It was from a video game. Nobody bought it! Remember that the Rogue Shadow barely sold at all, until it went half price and sales skyrocketed? There's just not that big of an interest. CW targets kids. OT targets kids and adults. Video games target video gamers. There's just not that big a portion of them. Also, again on the mass of OT fans who are out to get you, try to go easy on the RBR. Most people like it now.
  10. Mos Espa Cantina Drunks battlepack! (I'm just wishing. ) Comes with three crazy civilians, and one Greedo! Always ready for a fight! Don't forget the floor, chairs, tables, wall, and connector, to add them all together into a full-sized cantina! Just like the old "Bionicle Mask Packs," each civilian is a randomly selected excess minifigure, for 100% alien diversity! Great for AFOLs too, who can MOD in a center table where the servers work!
  11. I don't recall anyone saying that, maybe in the set wish topic. It's the same old game with new DLC. I don't think Lego could base a set off of that. It's just not happening.
  12. So there will be Phase II troopers also Mr. Speculator? Okay, I'll stop now. I've had my fun. Sorry. Feel free to take revenge any time. Now I'm confused, is the rumor confirmed that there will be a TFU 2, or is it just a guess because of the new down loadable content? I think that TFU's a great game, but I really don't like it when things mess with Star Wars canon information. It gets a little weird. But I don't think Lego's going to make new TFU sets. Maybe, just possibly if a TFU2 comes out, but that won't be for at least a year, and I know good and well that Lego won't make an entire line of sets based off of DLC! It's not even known by all of the people who've played the game! They're just going to continue making OT and CW sets for a while.
  13. By God, you're right! It seems the base of the white truck is entirely one motor piece. I know these are all at least three pieces by the looks of them, but those wheels don't even look like they come off! These can't be more than 16 pieces each. Good eye!
  14. Yes, but people are paying good money for something in a display case. They should be doing this perfectly if they expect someone to buy the set. Unless, is there someway to take the case off to fix them and use the minifigures, or do we just have to smash them?
  15. Wow! Real sets! Happy Meals there must cost a fortune!
  16. I don't wanna sound mean...but it's too blocky. No detail. I guess that's already been said but here are the upsides: The antennae on the first ship are creative, and the guns on the second are great! Just try to un-square both ships and add a lot more greebles, and you missed the command tower on the first ship!
  17. Sorry to crush your hopes, but as far as we know, there won't be a single PT set next year. At least we still have oT. That's about as real as it gets!
  18. I got a free Stormtrooper helmet once, half buried in the dirt! It was just my luck until I found that the stud receiver was broken, so the helmet would always slide off the head. On topic: ...when you go through one hundred search links to prove how much you know about Lego to someone else and find out what STAMP, SNIR, BURP, and LURP mean.
  19. Okay. I agree with you... but I'm pretty sure Flushed Away Came before Ratatouille, because I remember Ratatouille, and you just brought Flushed Away back in to my mind. I'll search it. Also, they're making a sequel to cars? And What's TS? EDIT: Yay, I win! Ratatouille: 2007, Flushed away: 2006! But Dreamworks still stinks. I've never bothered to watch a movie of their's.
  20. Going back a few quotes, I have never ridiculed Bionicle in a single quote. The pieces are greatly compatible with Lego, but are still different, they still have the building factor in, but that's different with these minifigures. Their heads aren't compatible, and would never fit in with any other Lego line. You can't make a great non-Disney MOC with any of these. Bringing back your example, Bionicle parts can fit in with other Lego. They are the same plastic, the same stud configuration, all with the addition of a ball-and-socket hinge, which makes it even better! But these things... they can't be used and reused. You can only make what Lego puts in front of you. It's obvious this line is for children. You won't see most AFOL's locked up in their room playing with Disney characters, but these things are creepy. The minifigs I find acceptable on the Toy Story line are the little aliens and partially the purple evil guy. The little aliens deserve to have freak heads, because they do. The purple guy also has a non-human head, but it would still be a lot better if he had more of a Lego-like quality. That's the worst thing on the purple one's head right there. With that head, there thousands of MOCs to be made with. But, to start, they had an opportunity with those silvery head tails. They could have been the width of a normal, compatible Lego tube, but instead they made it seem like a different product by making them wider and flatter. Finally, this was brought up in a different topic, the absolutely awful thing. According to a list, Lego was one of the things that may never be remembered by children as just bricks and the occasional window and door. You are supporting the evolution into non-building, all weird looking pieces. If you show a brick to an adult, they would recognize it instantly. If you showed any of these new heads to an adult, and I know, they would not recognize it as Lego. It doesn't look like Lego, feel like Lego, and it most certainly does not seem to connect to any Lego. Obviously, there's nothing to do about it. Don't get me wrong, I love interesting pieces, like all of the Star Wars alien heads, but I despise these barely Lego and non ABS plastic things.
  21. Oh my! It fits right in with the Disney line! But we need to find the right head...
  22. This happens so many times. I don't really care, I just won't get my morning pictures today. The only thing that really frightened me was back in... I forget, around 2006-07? When brickshelf threatened to close itself down unless people started paying for accounts. Since I still have a full wallet (well not exactly, but) how was that ever resolved?
  23. I had thought about that when I first got my Willie Scott minifig. For heaven's sake, why make a new mold if it doesn't suit your purposes?
  24. I don't think I'm late, or at least according to brickset. 8709, the grand mining station is now available on Shop@Home. Here's a link and a pretty picture for your trouble. Link Go buy it now, post a review, and make a funny remark about the box of carrots in the corner!
  25. ...you spend $60 on a special dust remover that gets into special cracks and doesn't yellow plastic... Yeah.
