Holy crud! People responding to my topic... and only three months late! And if you realized the blue coat was captaining the red coats, congratulations, you've been let in on an inside joke! The only physically possibble way for me to make a correct ship from this era would be to get that base like the one in Brickbeard's Bounty. But I can't and won't, seeing as I'm cheap and lazy!

[MOC] Iwo Jima Vignette by Aayla
Darth Legolas replied to aayla-secura's topic in Special LEGO Themes
You did a great job on this one, I think it might be better if you moved the guys arm just a little closer to his torso so it doesn't look completely popped off, and more bent though. -
Miniland Wedding Cake Toppers
Darth Legolas replied to Still Raindrop's topic in Special LEGO Themes
For the arm, you could use one of those hinge plates, I have no idea what they're called but I have about a million of them in red. it would make a great bent-arm look. -
Awwe! They're so cute. You made a great use of strange parts! Good job!

I don't think that's why KimT was a little mad. First, you offered us links to new pictures of old news. Sure, we all know what the two sets are and look like, but I'm sure we'd always be up to see some new views. The problem is, you had a second chance to put the links in and just blew it off. So I'm read y to see some pics!

The monorail means nothing to me, I doubted it, but nobody is paying attention to the monorail STATION, which ir right, obvious, and I would buy it!

This sorta inspires me to make some random truck with a side box. Maybe I'll just rip you off and make a hot-dog truck. Anyway, I can't say much about the truck besides it looks accurate, maybe a little two... I don't know, fizzy? But your idea for the ice cream cone is great!

This is just freak'n awesome! I'm really hoping that the Tuskens will sign a no-mechs treaty! It reminds me of a Life on Mars/Exo-Force fusion! Great Job! I think that the left arm could use a super mega-cannon though.

I'd like it better if the walls were... more complete, but you did a great job on the monster! I think you have a secret Bionicle-collecting habit, based on that piece you have there!
-
It's been confirmed for over a month now.
-
Oh! Now I get what the Bionicle sphere thingy is. When I saw pics from the Toyfair, I was confused because there was only half a sphere. I guess someone stole off a piece, which happens every year. Strangely, this one wasn't of value. Well, I don't have enough cash to get this one, since I'm wasting all of my money on CW sets, but I will get that sweet Mon Cal head. It could be... useful. :skull:

A fabulous job on the ship, it reminds me of a B-wing. Speaking of which, to me you didn't really meet your goal of a non-Star Wars ship. I mean, I won't count the pilot as a minus because there aren't very many space pilot-like minifigs, but that definitely looks like something straight out of the SW universe. Anyway, I love the side engine, and I would go with removing that red 1X6 plate.

This was news back in 2007 by now. Lego's Znap ripped them off, so they ripped back. Anyways, there is more difference than the low-quality and round edges. They have wholes in the center where K'nex pieces interlock, which, in my opinion is quite useful for setting up things such as Lego teepees if you don't have the original pieces.

A great MOC, I love the use of the two grays, that makes the rocks seem older. I would add more plants though.

To tell you the truth, the only one I like is the first one, which blends Ahsoka nad that hair. The actual hair itself is a hideous unnatural color, but works extremely well with aliens! Good job!
-
Now, that's kind of you.
-
Wow! Good thing I saw this for voting! I am definitely giving a point to you!
-
Ooh! I love it! The leggs are good, and I love the drill! Great job!

What's up with the oldy fire mobile? Anywho, this is quite an amazing looking set! There really should be a second floor, but I'd like to know, where do they store that car? EDIT: Just noticed the tan Indy bag! Woohoo!

Yanks like me will be pleased! These are great, and we're ready to do some taking over!
-
It's either from an A-wing or B-wing. I forget which.
-
Nice one! I love how from a far away distance, it would look like the one from the movie, not built from Lego! I'm hoping to see some good sets from the Lego/Disney fusion!

Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings Sets?
Darth Legolas replied to RoflWafls's topic in LEGO Licensed
Well first I was talking about you being an Indy Jones genius, and then I was saying how I'd love to see Staff of Kings sets. -
I'm not going to vote in my own topic, but I'll say this. I love sets with TONS of pieces, but i hate big sets made of gigantic pieces. That new Troll's Castle set is only around 700. For what it's worth, it should be a whole lot less money. And of course SW sets are always overpriced! There's one set worth $20 that has 200 more pieces than the spider droid!

Nice rubber band technique. I think it would be better if you used decals instead of paint, because the paint is a little rough. Also, the gun and sword work well. But I just have to say it, that green thing really doesn't work! So, all in all, I'd give this an 8/10. The two points off come from the green thingy and the paint. Nice job for a first try!
