Thanks for the advice guys! The towel thing worked like a charm!
-
Yes I'm not quite the strongest... Thanks for the suggestions, I'll try everything, even "replicating the movie circumstances." It really is puzzling though, as the black protocol droid's head is fine. Oh well.
-
I finally got my Death Star, but C3PO's head is unbearably tight! Unlike a normal minifig, his head's grooves will rip your skin off if you pull too tightly! Any suggestions on how to get it off?

UCS Millenium Falcon is being discontinued!
Darth Legolas replied to Darth Legolas's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Why $550? If you're thinking shipping, it's free. I hope you're joking. Unless you're referring to the shipping, in which I have no idea, but the production stops all over. -
UCS Millenium Falcon is being discontinued!
Darth Legolas replied to Darth Legolas's topic in LEGO Star Wars
It's ending December 6. I copied this from the email: -
I'm talking about a Wampa. More like how a new mold would come off.
-
Only a year or two after it's been released, the UCS Falcon has been cut short! EDIT: Can anyone help? I tried to beat the rush by posting it here first, but I realized my email address was on the link I previously posted!
-
Yes, I have been linked upon! It simply is random, and maybe a little wear and tear with Rock monsters. It's plastic, and it varies. Some knobs will be slightly bigger, others smaller. But as for minifig heads, I finally figured out how important those neck thingies are, after getting the Star Wars magnet set with no neck printing, their heads fall off faster than you can say "hey!"

This better not be the start of Lego killing things... like Star Wars! I thought that at one point Bionicle was the biggest moneymaker for Lego! I think it's because of the change in theme that's happening by re-releasing old characters with new and fewer pieces. I never thought Agents would last long and talk about IJ's been around for months.
-
Really sorry, but just happened? Oh well, back to the discussion of the wampa. I'm hoping the head will come of, definitely the arms and legs, and it would go great with taun-taun horns. I can already see the "lightsaber spring up" function, it would be so easy to make. I don't know what to say about the Slave I. It's really too soon to say anything. We should probably stick to winter sets discussion. Like, what added features will be in the Defender and the Landspeeder?
-
Wow, you went through a lot to prove me wrong. I'd agree with you on a Carbonite freezing chamber set itself. It could be like the old Jabba's palace and counterparts. A bunch of different sets and we stick em' together to make a whole Cloud City. Of course, that's not happening, is it?
-
Can't anyone say Carbonite? People, hold your horses. Am I the only living soul who has any recollection of this EXACT same set, same figs, same everything as one of the runners up to the Home One set? The thought probably came online because some idiot was behind the times and posted a 2008 fan choice set around for 2010!

Talk to the Star Wars Moderators and Regulators
Darth Legolas replied to KimT's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Well, in the topic it does say that the email is used to notify the winner, but even so it's not necessary. We should stick to official contests. -
Bounty Hunters. We don't need that scum!
Darth Legolas replied to Legostein's topic in LEGO Star Wars
New? It seems someone knows less about Star Wars than not necessary. He lives about another 20+ years after he falls in the pit. Great job on the minis! I always hated every Slave ship after the Slave I. It was a dumb idea to me, but either way, you did the ships nicely! I also think the Pushing One was done excellently! -
LEGO in Film & TV: Index of Appearances
Darth Legolas replied to Izzy's topic in General LEGO Discussion
High-five! There are tons of weird shows that have a ten second appearance or mention of Lego. There are tons of toy store seens with Lego in them in movies, but they don't really count. -
No matter what, it won't take you more than 8 hours. For me personally, I've built a few things equal in size in around 3 hours, I know I'm not the fastest, but I'm about to tackle the Death Star, and time myself the whole way. So, if you're new enough to think it'll take 20 hours, then I'd estimate 8.

He is getting a new helmet. It's the same as the new AT-AT pilot. If you haven't seen it yet, there are pics in the 2010 rumor topic. The helmet's a bit big, but I love it! Lego always makes a new and worthwhile unique star wars helmet. Weather it's printed or not, it doesn't matter. I think the least accurate Lego's ever gotten with minifigs is that weird Aldar Beedo from the podracer bucket and the Ten/Nein (I forget) Numb with a flesh human head!
-
Dang! This better get on the front page! I love the amount of detail! Is there any interior? How did you make the base? Why do I ask so many questions?
-
Wait, so you just saw them this month? I've been seeing those since 2006! I think there are also 7 other topics about this anyway.
-
I like it so far, but aren't you going to put the little yellow thingies on the sides of his helmet?
-
Actually, it's the complete other way around. The license doesn't prevent it, you can see that because Han Solo and Cloud City Boba and the special Stormies has printed legs. Nothing is "hard," as you say it, but it would cost a hell of a lot more to make billions of clone and stormtrooper legs, than it would be just for one character that's in one set.

New Japanese LEGO Bricks x Paper Products!
Darth Legolas replied to Alywin's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I don't get it. Couldn't you just push two Lego bricks together against a piece of construction paper and then have it pop out the sides? Plus, isn't Lego about making things with imagination? With paper, you can make specialized shapes. To do this kind of thing, you just should have basic bricks. Weird, but interesting, I guess. Will they be available in America? -
StarWars.Com StarWars.Com StarWars.Com StarWars.Com I'm sorry, but it really is "George Lucas official." If you really want, email and badger him. Apparently his face was distorted at some point, and that really is how Lucas commissioned it. So, movies or not, it is Star Wars canon. I hope you understand that, and I really do hate it too, but it is official by George Lucas! I'm sure Lego will give it a Clone face though. The Yeti with Taun-Taun horns is actually pretty accurate, but we'll definitely get a new mold. A single body and head, Taun-Taun horns, and attachable arms and possibly legs. Like the Castle Troll figure.

LEGO Reality Shows in the works
Darth Legolas replied to fallentomato's topic in General LEGO Discussion
No... just no. Probably going to be the biggest mistake Lego has ever made. No one would watch it. AFOLs would find it stupid, kids would find it...kiddy. -
Actually, as I've said before, you really DON'T want to see Boba Fett's face. Like we ever saw it in the movie anyway. I swear to God, it's canon. I hate it so very much. He deserves a Clone face, and it should be a clone face, but in the 90's some moron drew this piece of so, this is the official, and canon version of Boba Fett unmasked. As I said, above... P.S. Punctuate!
