Certainly the most entertaining thread of the day! On the one hand, carpe diem. On the other hand, don't fall in love with adverts, they are adverts.

Friends, Ulandians, Citizens of Northwall! I bring you a new type of politics! Taxes only on Desert King supporters! Free everything for all Ulandians! More benefits! Less taxes! Help yourself to Other People's Money! An end to war and illegal detention! Hope! And Change! You can believe in! The giant puppet certainly looked to have interesting and new things to offer, so the gates of Northwall opened to let him in. Who would not want Other People's Money and End to War? And there was much wailing and regret afterwards. Amongst the survivors. {bonus points if you can identify which puppets this puppet is based on }

I have not been able to purchase anything from shop@home for a couple of years. It takes my credit card and then gangs. It's a truly appalling site

Oh finally there might be a chance of getting the Frozen castle! For a product that was basically 12 months late to market, it's amazing that I still have not seen one in store 3 months after launch.

[CG:K15, U vs DK] Another Regrettable Incident
robuko replied to Garmadon's topic in Guilds of Historica
Nice job, Garmadon. I really like that you used the same backdrop and font and background to the story. Of course, if this really was a ship of his majesty's fleet, it would comfortably outrun anything in the Ulandus navy- 13 replies

Thanks all for your kind comments. That's all my tan and dark tan plates and slopes there. Building with so few parts is a whole different set of challenges!

Thanks everyone for your kind comments Thanks Lord Dan. Yup, that's all of my parts! Apart from a CCBS Mungus that I couldn't work in Thanks. I tried with and without wings, with is better. As for extending the tail, yes it would look better and if I had more pieces I would have done that. Thanks Garmadon. Oh they get it. This is an oblique social political satire about the role of police and armies at this time. Look at the disarm the NYPD movement. Thanks Soccerkid. As you can tell, this is the love child of croc+lion, basically everything I could buy on clearance. Wish I could have found more lions, that is a fantastic set for Kali. Thanks Jacob, I am quite happy with the head, it has limited but reasonable articulation. The micro city hasn't photographed very well, but the Chima legs as towers looks great in the brick.

Voting Thread: Warzon 5, Battle of the Deep Sands
robuko replied to SkaForHire's topic in Guilds of Historica
The most I can build at the moment is those, as I am away from my bricks. I wish I could bang them out in 5 minutes! I am trying to learn from using a very limited selection of parts ( you saw them all in the keeping the peace build ), and micro is something I still have lots to learn. I am not expecting to win any challenge with them or pick up any votes but hopefully it helps the team out overall. Whoever voted for me, thankyou!! -
Voting Thread: Warzon 5, Battle of the Deep Sands
robuko replied to SkaForHire's topic in Guilds of Historica
Best sand is a hard one, I thought Blufiji, Capt Braunsfeld and Emma had the outstanding sand builds, and all 3 were excellent in different ways. Probably I would vote for Emma. -

Voting Thread: Warzon 5, Battle of the Deep Sands
robuko replied to SkaForHire's topic in Guilds of Historica
Ska, I can totally see your dilemma. However, the desert king has only amassed enough power to match the other 2 sides and they are all now more or less equal on points. Maxim floated the idea of players switching allegiance, that might be an interesting way to rebalance. It is very hard on the DK players if they are penalised for eking out the hard grind back to parity with the other sides, purely because the other sides do not show up for the battles they have signed up for. That would be pretty demotivating for the DK builders. I'm with Elostirion, it's a war and may the strongest side win. If all we are fighting for is a balanced stalemate, why show up? It was interesting that Ulandus won the small builds WZ4 challenge, as I have said before, I would advocate more of those in the contest because I think it will reduce barriers to entry and equalise the playing field. -
This is the key point I think. It's a war game. If you can't respond to an attack in a war, you lose. The Desert King will be magnanimous in accepting the surrender of Ulandus. My view is that it's not great to penalise builders for being too productive, that's the same as an incentive to not build. A key point that seems to be a bit neglected in all this "DK is too strong" argument is that although they have had a storming start, it has only been enough to bring them up to parity with the other teams, which both started with a significant points advantage over the DK.

Great idea, very nicely done wall, and horrifying worms.

I really like how your wingless serpents story is developing. Very good idea to use the catacombs and a very well executed build. I think your lighting is a bit too strong though
