    City '09?

You have this set? Lucky you! We 'll be waiting for the review!
  2. That's indeed a great idea. The thing is that sometimes you just want things to be easier and have the control on your orders. Just logging in, placing the order, sit back waiting for it to come. I'm starting to like the idea though.I 'll keep it in mind.
  3. That is 100% true . Not being able to use S@H from our countries holds us away from this set . Then again some sets are being brought here to Greece from time to time that are S@H exclusives but in a (very very very) limited amount. You see it? You grab it! No second thoughts! About the lottery thing- we win the money, go to west Europe, buy large amounts of exclusives, take the plane, return to our area and we start throwing the sets from the plane like a new edition of Robin Hood of the Balkans! (...or simple, we could use Bricklink... )
  4. Although that a new train station would be excellent, (especially a not so modernised station from an architectural point of view - something like Teddy's Train Station would be more than welcomed ) I don't think that the mysterious structure is a train station and that is because of the length of it, judging from the space that occupies. Unless they placed it vertically just to confuse us . About that other trackside structure.....hmmm, now THAT is going to be a surprize!
  5. Thanks for the great pictures Cwetqo ! They look great! The details being visible enough, i can say that i like it alot. The engine's design is great but it sure needs more passenger wagons. I must agree on the flexible tracks issue. I don't know how well they are going to work considering the design and creation of a track layout, but the look of them is ugly. It reminds me of one of those tracks that are used in plastic toy trains for ages 3-5. They definetely don't look realistic, considering of course that Emerald Night's design is not futuristic/modern. So, there is not even the excuse of modernised high-tech tracks (still refering on how the tracks look). Thanks again for the pictures.
  6. You 're absolutely right darthperson. At least, i think that we can exclude the possibility that nothing is under the mystery veil. Let's continue the differential diagnosis.

    MOC Car Wash

Great work sens1992! It was obvious from the gas station topic that the car wash part was going to be as beautiful as the gas station! Well done! As it has already been mentioned before, the colours are perfect and the design is excellent! Why don't you put the two parts together, along with some cars and take some pictures? In that way we'll see your project in all its glory. Btw, could you provide some infos about the piece count and the price?
  8. Excellent review WhiteFang! It's really great that you 've posted the photos with the 3 motorbikes together (doing it in a cool and creative way ). I don't own any Tri-Motorbike (dark ages) and it was helpful to estimate the size. I really like this set. Considering that it was promotional makes it earn more points. The secure compartment works really nice in my opinion. The torso is very good, so a 5/5 from me. Thanks again!
  9. Thanks for your good word Dadster. After all, your signature is all about that.
  10. It's been more than a month since this topic was brought up so i hope that it is still useful for you. I've uploaded some photos on BS to get a small idea of how long and wide the hull is. I've dissasembled the bridge part but still, i think that you can get the picture. The reference object is a DVD case (not just any DVD ) so i guess that you can estimate the size. Pay no attention to my sig-fig. He is just a big U2 fan trying to protect his DVD collection. P.S I highly recommend bying that set. It is great IMO. More pictures on Brickshelf when moderated.

    City '09?

I've just found three new pictures from the actual set of 7643 Airshow Plane Promo that a member of Brickshelf has uploaded. Why promo?
  12. This was posted in the Emerald Night topic almost a month ago and your train station is almost exactly what i had in mind Teddy!!! It is just excellent! The tan colour bricks make the station look like a real classic building (not LEGOwise). You 've managed to use the proper amount of windows and glass and i really like that the front-entrance and the back-train platforms work great. The size of it is amazing and the small sculptural details you 've added make it a great MOC! Well done from me!
  13. Very nice set! I bought it two 2 weeks ago and the whole structure is great! The minifig's torso is superb! The only minor flaw perhaps is that there isn't an opening or a window on the driver's cockpit. Let the man breathe! Overall excellent set and a great starting point for a farm collection. The price here in Greece (how south is that? ) is €11.99. I find it strange that Spain is more expensive.
  14. Just got back from a toy store. I found a 6093 MISB Flying Ninja Fortress for €74.99! I think it's a good deal considering prices on Bricklink. Its condition is almost excellent and i grabbed it instantly. It was probably forgotten there and there is hardly any shelfware or dust on it!
  15. Alexis Zorbas -or Zorba the Greek if you like. A great character and protagonist in one of my favorite books, "Zorba the Greek" by Nikos Kazantzakis. I wanted my name to display where i come from so, this was the pick. The book also became a great movie and i tried to make my avatar and sig-fig look like Anthony Quinn, who had the leading role of Zorbas.
  16. Very nice and extremely detailed work brickzone! The colours are very nice and i agree that the roof looks great! I really like that you used those golden windows and the interior also looks beautiful! The small furniture are well built and the bed having this patchworked quilt (correct me if i'm wrong) is a great idea! I like the general idea regarding these types of medieval buildings. Castle has now the "Medieval Market Village" style of buildings, the way City has the "Cafe Corner" style. I really like it.
  17. Thanks for another splendid review WhiteFang! Now, this is the impulse set that i love! When the new pirate line was released, the first set that i wanted to get in order to become familiar with the new line was this. The minifig is absolutely great! . The new colours really capture the eye and those small printed (yes!) details, such as the torso's backside and the shako's feather and emblem are simply superb! Another great advantage are the three weapons included and the backpack! (Not including of course the extra parts because if i include them in my view for the set i'll may sound as if i won the lottery! ) The small stand for the weapons adds also this little something in terms of the set not being too plain. I personally like these small structures in an impulse set even if sometimes look a bit simple. Overall: 5/5 from me. A must buy (along with the Cannon Battle), and perhaps the best introduction for anyone who wants to enter the new pirate line environment! Thanks for one more time WhiteFang! The 5/5 goes of course for your review!
  18. Interesting topic TheBrickster. There are 2 MOCs that i would really want to build. The first one one is an ancient greek temple (Parthenon to be more specific.) I had built one in the past (round 91-92)on a 16x32 baseplate. I've seen some really good creations on Brickshelf and i was ! The other MOC i'd love to build, is a passenger ship. Not a ferry, not a hovercraft, a great minifig scale ship that can carry cars, with cabins etc.
  19. Ah, the next project as you've said! Another great work medieval_total_lego! You've managed to interpret another great Playmobil set to an even greater LEGO MOC. You are doing an excellent job there! Kudos as usual!
  20. Let's just all pretend that the LEGO world is like Pleasantville. Where all citizens are just there, no one knows how they were brought to life. Seriously now, if there was a LEGO infant, it should have maximum, the size of the parrot. Not bigger. And if i'm right Shoc, I assume that you mean something like the cat or the rat. To be honest, i'm not a big fan of this idea.
  21. Great post office BlueBard! I really love that thing! The colours are just perfect IMO. The way the yellow is mixed with the white windows, the gray details and the black roof is . As others have said, you've managed to maintain an excellent scale. This post office can fit both in a classic town display and a more " Cafe Corner style" city display. Kudos! The sidewalk is very nicely built and with some imagination we could say that the emblem on top of the building is not a parrot but a carrier pigeon. The interior is also effective. The counter is just how it should have been-considering the limited space- and the way it communicates with the exterior loading area is great. If that was an official set I would buy it in a second!
  22. Thanks for the advice computerbug . By not having any contact with the LEGO world for almost 15 years, still don't know the importance or value or even rareness and importance of the sets that were released from 1994 and on. Especially with the themes that were not my first priorities. I've checked some pictures and info about it and it seems very nice. I 'll buy it and i'll probably keep it. Besides, collecting only City and Pirates doesn't mean that variety is excluded. Thanks again!
  23. Last two days purchases:
  24. This looks even better IMO! Great idea of being inspired by those wonderful buildings. I think that they look even better being LEGO-built.
  25. I called yesterday a LEGO shop here in Greece to ask them about Town Plan because i'm interested in buying it.. They have only one left and the price is €229. I really want that set and i still can't make up my mind of buying it or not...
