Panda, what can i say? Your layout is simply fantastic! It's like observing an official train catalogue! Well done! You're joking, right? Pictures are never enough!

...or we could easily name this new species Loan Shark. (Carcharhinus Loanus) Someone didn't pay on time!

Great and very detailed review svelte_corps! Although this set looks very nice and detailed enough, i think that it should have been just a liiiiitle smaller. When the first pictures were released i didn't realize that this would be that big. One question: Is it moving in a smooth way? (both carpet and flat surface?) On the other hand, this is a great opportunity to buy it as a gift for my nephew. That means i 'll have an excuse of buying it and still be able to co-build it and hold it in my hands. About the minifig, i started having a lot of these orange workers myself, so the solution was simple. I hired them to work as harbor workers. Container handling needs men with gloves. Loved that Indy teaser! Became angry with the Vestas cruelty . If it really is a thorn in your City expansion, donate it!

I've just finished (for the second time): Constantinople: The Last Great Siege, 1453 by Roger Crowley

I didn't know that there is actually a company that can grade a MISBness of a set. I'm refering to one of the BSB's above (the one in the plastic case.) Interesting. Does anybody had any experience regarding this?

The different prices on LEGO in the US vs. Europe
Zorbas replied to CopMike's topic in General LEGO Discussion
A great topic i must say. It is very encouraging that Lego collectors and fans are not just "blind" consumers and have deep judgemental about their hobby. The price difference among EU countries is an issue. Coming out from my Dark Ages 3 months ago, i noticed that generally prices here in Greece are up in comparison to other EU countries. It's not so annoying when it comes to small sets but it is very noticable when it comes to bigger sets. Three days ago, i called a local Lego Shop here in Greece to ask them if they have the 10185 Green Grocer. They said "yes" so the next question was about the price. The answer? €249.99 As far as i 've seen, Green Grocer is generally around €150 in Europe based of course on the internet prices i see. I could understand a slight price increase in particular countries but €100 is in my opinion out of reality. If i remember correctly, Town Plan was also priced €249.99. I wouldn't want to have wrong conclusions about prices so is GG really around €150 in toy stores? (not e-purchase) I know we live in a free market community but this made me angry -
So, i'll just have to wait. No problem. Thanks!

About LDD: I know what you mean. I too had my nerves tensed when i first started creating with LDD 2 months ago. That is why sometimes real life build is better About Lego.Factory: I've checked your MOC's but i didn't find TV Car Chase

Now, that really made me smile! Very nice work Genaral armendariz! Especially when the minifig bends its body back and forth is very realistic! So, i guess that you have your own mogwai ! (and be extra careful with water. You don't want to know what happens when a drop falls on them... )

The grey (is it grey?) vehicle is absolutely great Klaus-Dieter! There is something about the general shape of it that is eye-capturing. Just a small point. If you could tile the back roof so that the pieces that hold the door can come at the same level with the front roof and change the back windows colour (grey) then it would be ever better IMO. Is it possible that we could have a 360 view of this vehicle? again!

Brilliant MOC Erdbeereis1! This could easily be a great impulse set! The use of this head is pure genius!!

Well, what can you say when you are in a position to own a part of LEGO history... I have this magnificent ship since 1990 and it is the only LEGO set that i have never dissasembled. TLC gave us one of the best sets that has ever released.

I 100% agree with you WhiteFang. If my comment about this set sounded a bit hard, it has nothing to do with "reviewing only great sets" factor. In fact i too believe what you're saying. The more sets are been reviewed, the better and more exact perspective we have about them. When we are able to see detailed photos and opinions from the actual builders is a direct assist to a potential buyer of a particular set. I have personally read almost all City sets reviews, even those that i wasn't interested at the beginning (still referring to sets). Can we have all sets reviewed? That would be the best. After all, that's what reviews are for. Oh, did i forget to mention that your reviews are great?

Sometimes, less is beautiful, but in this case i think that this phrase does not apply. I am a Classic Town fan but i can't find something that could make me like this set. The only thing that it can be used as an excuse is that it was a Promo set so it saves it from 1. I give it a 2. The review on the other hand was great! Thanks Whitefang!

That was also the first picture i had in my mind when i had first seen it, including parts and equipment falling down from the truck while speeding up (or at least trying to speed up.It's the 30's you see...)

Great review! I have recently bought the Police HQ and all the prisoners are being transported with the police dog vehicle so i definetely need this one! (Even prisoners need some space.) I too agree that the blue stickers really work well.

Are there plans of a new release of roadplates from TLC? If i'm not wrong (corrections welcomed) the last release was 2005 and before that 2002. Especially now with the new vehicles in the need of more space to roll. A pedestrian's bridge would be great!

Amazing MOC Captain green hair! It reminds me of one of these old slapstick silent films where people were running and it was a complete chaos. The front of the car is really genious! "What? Fire in the barn? But we're Policemen! I 'll call the Firemen!"

You are right about that. When BSB was released here in Greece, the name "Black Seas Barracuda" was never used. Instead the name given to this (amazing) ship was "Dark Shark" (Mavros Karcharias). I 've also ckecked some european catalogues-some of them with greek language and some not, from 1989 (the release year) and 1991 and it is named after "Dark Shark" in many languages. The name BSB is nowhere there. To tell you the truth, it was only 3 months ago when i first heard of this name (BSB)- dark ages you see.... Thanks for the reminder!

This layout is very beatiful! I really like the corner building with the dance school! The exterior is very detailed and captures the eye! The interior of the cafe-bar is just amazing! One more thing that you could do, is to put 3-4 bar stools lined-up next to the bar instead of chairs. Great work again!

Since i own Black Seas Barracuda for 18 years now, my vote is easily predictable. This ship is just amazing. Eldorado Fortress is the chosen one, from the sets that i don't have (and must get!) :pir-skull:

It's like browsing a late '80s catalogue again.VARIETY!VARIETY!VARIETY! Knowing that new sets aren't strictly "duty" related, motivates the expectations to reach the limit! And as i have said in a previous post... Civilians, the streets are yours! (I know i look excited- I am!) I meant I sound excited! My avatar is still pissed off about something!

The port being crowded and busy is exactly what i had in mind of a pirate-era port! Very nice! (So, time machine does exist. Yuri Gagarin was the first man in space, the employee from the Octan gas station is the first man travelled to the past.)
