Can you imagine Homer Simpson having a flesh colour? I know I can't.

The different prices on LEGO in the US vs. Europe
Zorbas replied to CopMike's topic in General LEGO Discussion
But that's the issue here. You are comparing two different regions.European Union was supposed to be one market, trying to have the economy figures the same -to some extend- in every EU country. What you're saying, and is correct, has to do with free market economy and antagonism. There is no argue about that. Here in Greece, anything that has to do with nutrition has a 9% VAT increase on the base price. All the other products have a 19% increase. -

"Asterix". I never liked the "Asterix" films but when it comes to comics, "Asterix" is my personal favorite and one of the best european comics in my opinion. It has even been translated into ancient greek and two local greek dialects.

Great work there Hinckley! At the beginning, when I first saw the buildings from the front, they looked too thin to me, (like in some western films movies structures representing a main street), but looking at the back-interior photos, I can say that is just the size for an '80s building (imagination-one of the main elements of the '80s LEGO world in my opinion.) The details inside the buildings are great, especially the pub.The classic feeling is allover the place. God I miss the old trees... I REALLY like the car , it's just classic! Btw, you haven't used a light for the front of the bicycle. That't not classic, that's prehistoric. Great entry!

Excellent job and a great and precise rescale rriggs! I was never a 7900 fan (more of a hater I would say... ) and that was because of the size of it. I tried to get used to 6-wide after the dark ages but the 8-wide...come on.... . Being all LEGO elements in a more realistic scale is something that I partially agree (to some extend), but let's not overdo it. Back on track... The track now looks perfect in this scale. You've managed to maintain the original identity of it and that is the success. Great work and congratulations again. (Don't forget the trailer.... )

Excellent creation Ricecracker! It turned out very beautiful. I really like the way the parts are being used and the details such as the gauge. Great work!

Since there is no option for both, which obviously is everyone's choice and since we have to pick one or the other, I am voting Town. If we try to see it in cold blood, you can clearly have a town without trains, (even if it may seems incomplete in a small percentage or something missing from there), but in my opinion, having just trains, the incompletion is far more noticeable.

Hey! Don't forget to include my team! Btw, Olympiacos won the Greek Football Cup last night in a memorable final. 4-4 in extra time, 19-18(!) in the penalty shootout! Man, what a game!

3rd degree open tibial fracture, along with a fibula fracture in three parts. I had a motorbike accident and it was a painful -from every aspect- recovery. Remember: Even if you are the last person on earth, ALWAYS STOP WHEN YOU SEE A STOP SIGN OR A RED TRAFFIC LIGHT. (the car that hit me didn't... )

You know, I think you have made a good point here. After seeing this picture (sometimes, even obvious things have to be pictured to get the precise idea) I too think that there could be a decent hospital in the size of the police HQ. There is a great potential for a very good number of rooms and space for all the (basic) activities of a hospital. The arrangement of the rooms may differ, but still, the primary idea is very good. I believe that a hospital building with the shape and size of the police building would have been excellent.

One thing I had created in the past when I was a kid, was bookshelf holders (if this is the right term for these...). My book collection back then wasn't too big and certainly wasn't too heavy.

Exclusive Train 10194 Emerald Night (Exclusive 2009)
Zorbas replied to der seb's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Thanks for the great pictures Holodoc! They are really great! Well, what can I say? I'll leave the mechanical - means of power aspect aside, since I don't know much, and I'll just focus on the overall design and looks of the Emerald Night. It is just beautiful and amazing! The engine especially is to drool for! The colours are excellent, the size is the best and while viewing some of these photos, you can't even tell that it is LEGO-made, in a good way of course! It reminds me of some model trains I see occasionally in big dioramas. This gold colour looks great on green, especially these stripes that "break" the "greeness". The minifig driver is also great (well, he is my sigfig's brother actually... ) and the passenger's car colours are-yes, you've guessed well-, also great! To conclude, i'm definitely gonna buy it, just to get my hands on that steam engine! I sound excited, don't I? I am... I bow to thee!- 559 replies

I really like these small street scenes. And to be more precise, the first one is great! I don't know why, but it keeps giving me the impression of a film caption or a small part from a book. The grey walls, just one lonely man walking down the street, that not-your-everyday billboard, various things thrown all over, the totally empty roads, all these make this scene different from the usual ones. Btw, what LFC stands for?

Real deal.....Hm, I wonder... where i've seen this word.... You mean start to watch this real deal?

That was hilarious! The concept is genious! The unawareness in the first pic, the position Susan takes in the second pic and the upside down cup on the floor in the third! Good job!

It was one of the best matches i've ever watched (and believe me, i've seen many...), even if the result wasn't good enough for some... ...and the best result for some others...!

Absolutely great creation you're dealing with ACCURATEin! Not only this thing is gigantic but it looks realistic too, especially the shape of it! Well, although i'm not a great fan of pink, the whole project equalizes and surpasses it for me! Then again, if your hotel is in Las Vegas, anything is acceptable! (The name of the hotel will be "Flamingo" I suppose...)

Happy Birthday Zorro! May all your sword fights with the bad guys be forever succesfull! (....obviously... .We're talking about Zorro here...) I see you've been in Greece too.

Btw, did any of you happen to watch this great performance that was given in Stamford Bridge tonight?
