Great job Hinckley! As others have already said, this skin is much better for the eye. The blue and green works perfectly. As for the banner, it's like a scene from an 80's catalogue! And that's a compliment of course! Excellent! I think you've created one more reason for the members to visit the Trains & Town theme more.

7993 Service Station. Great and beautiful set I must say. (Actually, a yesterday's purchase.)

Men At Work perhaps? I actually like it. Oh the 80's... Memories...

One word: "Prowler". I was 12 and I was mind-blown. (My brother used to be an Iron Maiden fanatic back then.) After all, judging from the minifig's hairstyle it's not Metal. She needs to have her hair loose for headbanging.

As i'm watching a football (or soccer for many of you out there ) game right now, this topic came into my mind. So, which team in sports do you support? You can pick any sport or sports that suits your taste and your region (some sports in one region are not so popular in another.) My team? Olympiacos Piraeus in Football, Basketball (Berlin Final-Four, here we go!) and Volleyball.

I think that minifigs play a big role in a set. For me though it's not the crucial factor to make me buy a set. The only note here is that i'm only refering to the themes that i collect (City-Pirates). So, when it comes to City (mainly) and Pirates the decision is not based on the minifigs. The only time i'm willing to buy a set just for the minifigs is when i see a cheap set from another theme that has some interesting little yellow people in it. For example, I've bought the Dwarves' Mine Defender and the three castle impulse sets (5614-5615-5618) just for the minifigs because i wanted to have some new castle minifigs and also, i was a bit curious on how they look.

It is definitely a city sub-theme, judging at least from the LEGO sets we have seen so far. It is easy to place a farm set in a city display even if it is not in the city's heart, just like the 6379 Riding Stable.Let's don't forget the fact that some displays are not "cities" but "towns" and having a farm in there is perfectly ok. Even if it's under a "Western" tag, it is still considered a city sub-theme (just like the Paradisa). Excellent points there mania3.

But not tanks eh? 9 out of 10 times (at least from the cases i know-including me) the desired vehicle (an affordable one obviously) is purchased on the second attempt. So i'm guessing the Triumph Daytona is still in the plans. Good choice sir. Good choice.

Excellent review for a very nice and useful set cutlass_iz! You certainly don't lack imagination and creativity. I really like this set. I have bought two and in my opinion it is a great purchase for city expansion. I got it for 8.99 Euro and although that the price seems a bit steep, actually it's not. It's like buying 4 impulse sets in one. I didn't really pay much attention to the signs since i had never use them in the past but the minifigs are great. Civilians you wanted, civilians you got. (...okay, and an officer ) Thanks for the review and if you manage to achieve to do the 300th, then i'm gonna need you to tell me the lottery numbers. Btw, I wonder, which mixtape is playing?

Two wheels are much more fun (poor word for a motorbike IMO) than 4 Bobby! I used to ride a Kawasaki KLE 500 but unfortunately i had a very serious accident 5 1/2 years ago and now i'm ready again to crusade the streets. To tell you the truth, the GS line had always been my wish bike (1100-1150 and now 1200). When i bought the KLE (1999) I had just entered the work field and i coulnd't afford it. But now, this babe won't be getting away from me! If we ever meet, be sure to have side bags. Who knows, we might see a LEGO shop while travelling. Ride on! (God, I miss my long distance rides... )

I think that it's now time for TLG to do something about the vehicles' wheels. One type of wheels in every vehicle just doesn't fit. We are all saying that the scale has been fixed when it comes to vehicles (4 wide and 6 wide and all this debate) but it's a step back in my opinion for TLG to use the same and the same type of wheels and mudguards. The reason i'm saying this is because (for once more) the yellow vehicle looks unbalanced to the eye. The wheels popping out from the main body makes it look too narrow and although that i'm a 4 wide defender (?????) , this is something that just doesn't do the job for me. I know that the yellow car is just a sideshow for the rest set and I should be focused on the main features of the set but it is still a part of it.

That is pretty much the truth. Many aspects of Balkan countries' culture and habits are usually the same or derive from the same source. You're absolutely right on that. Popular elements ( popular meaning here, everyday things widely used from the people for years) most of the times don't have borders. Especially in our area. .It is indeed pointless for someone to argue on some of these. ...and that my friend is the quote of the day!

Actually, it was in last year's 7739 Coast Guard Patrol Boat & Tower. But I agree on the minifigs point.

I just had mousaka yesterday. Let's say i'm familiar enough with this dish. Oh, and if you want to pronounce it in the greek way, it's mousakas, with the accentuation on the last "a". My favorite? It's really difficult for me to choose but since i live in south Greece, it has to include olive oil. Man, this is officially the most torturing topic in here! Put a warning sign or something...

Happy birthday to both of you! I can't stop laughing!

Do you need a Captain Roger?
Zorbas replied to Captain Green Hair's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
I might be wrong here, but it seems to me that the faces have some slight differences when compared to eachother. Do I need glasses or something? (Note: Dark ages 1993-2008. I might be missing something here.) -
HUGE price hike on Town Plan, Green Grocer, Others?

This is like me talking... A MUST have on one hand, a rip-off on the other. -
Another great building for Brickington Eilif! Well done! Every building of yours has its own "character" and the expansion of the city continues steadily. The details on the front are great! Now, for me the photos that really give the actual feeling of a flower shop are the two interior ones! The place is filled with flowers coming from literally everywhere, just like a real flower shop!*starts singing "It's a jungle in there"* I second that.

Excellent creation Reejoc! It really gives me the feeling of an eastern european orthodox church. The dome is as close as it can get to excellence and the small details like the vitro and the effective use of the slopes make this MOC a remarkable one. Well done!

Excellent!!! The whole topic is absolutely great crabboy329! The way you have presented the scenery is very nice! The "interaction" regarding the "mystery" liquid ( ) is a genious idea! The pictures are clear, and it was fun reading and looking at the photos. Oh! I forgot to comment on the actual structure ! A very well built platform with an nice selection of minifigs. (poor hobo-poor rat...) "Studington". Clever name also.

Happy Birthday The builder formerly known as CopMike! May all your wishes be fullfilled for you and your family. Have a great day! "There's nothing we can do man! The place is filled with cops!" Now I know how that line feels when watching an action film!

Very good review 74louloute! I never had the chance to see this set (dark ages) and although that it not something super special, the minifigs are great! Is it me, or it seems that the bunny is clearing its throat *cough cough* to make a speech in front of the camera?
