  1. Welcome to Eurobricks Stephan. This is the perfect place for a City-Town fan. There are many reviews and MOCs to see and share your opinion. It's great to hear that you're a classic town fan. You're one of us. Enjoy your stay and have fun. This is exactly my favorite LEGO Town period for me too!

    LEGO ANA

That was my thought too lightningtiger. I performed a quick search and came up with this. It seems that the "1000" frame on the box is the number of copies produced meaning that it was a limited edition and every set was numbered. The copy that is for sale on BL is number 369. It has 5 minifigs and 676 pieces. One more thing I noticed is that BL has photos of the instructions and the box from the "standard" edition. Perhaps the ANA boxart is an extra cardboard case that the standard box slides in?

    Great music, isn't it? Cheers!

  4. This is interesting for one more reason because I think that the first significant building actually meant the beginning and foundation of our towns/cities layouts, at least in my case. I already had a variety of vehicles but getting a building is the turning point IMO. September 9th 1987. My 8th birthday and my first two big sets at the same day. The 6386 Police Command Base and the 6392 Airport. That was the day I realised that Town was my choice when it comes to LEGO.
  5. Happy Birthday Rick. I wish you all the best! No cake for you buddy. You're getting older and you should start watching your diet. A mug of tea is just fine.
  6. Thanks guys! Final verdict: Winter Toy Shop. I just ordered it and I'll have it in my hands in 5 days.
  7. Happy Birthday JD! Enjoy your day and open as much presents as you can.
  8. Thanks for your suggestions guys. I was too leaning towards the Winter Toy Shop. Actually, the Winter Toy Shop is more expensive (10 euros) than the Winter Village Bakery in Greece.
  9. Couldn't agree more. Your creation is stunning! I really love it! Well done and good luck on the contest!
  10. ♫ ♫ (Christmas) The snow's coming down (Christmas) I'm watching it fall (Christmas) Lots of people around (Christmas) Baby please come home. ♫ ♫ (I'm trying to get you in the mood.) Winter Village Bakery or Winter Toy Shop?
  11. Thanks for the feedback buddy.
  12. Thanks for the great review TheBrickster! I'm really starting to like the new Pharao's Quest sets. What I really love in this particular set is the motorcycle. The first thing that came into my mind was the motorcycle from the classic scene in "The Great Escape" with Steve McQueen. This is a MUST buy for sure! Thanks again for the splendid review!
  13. Very nice work towwy, it looks very accurate and it's almost identical to the real one. It will be great if TLG produces one of these in the near future as an alternative to the existing motorcycles. No need to be angry. All you have to do is reach 10 posts and the PM function will be enabled. See here for more details.
  14. Amazing and very detailed review Hinckley! Your pictures are stunning and wonderful. I think that this set looks very nice. Lots of useful and beautiful pieces and great minifigs. The Anubis minifig is brilliant! I really like that TLG included many elements from the actual Egypt's history and mythology such as the wings from goddess Isis, the Horus' head (the bird headgear), the dead Pharao's golden mask and the Anubis head of course. The printing on the Pharao and Anubis looks exceptional! I have to disagree though on the point you've made about the Jake Raines minifig. I think that the head with the side burns is great and the overall impression is very suitable for a "protagonist" minifig. Perhaps TLG wanted a more Brendan Fraser approach. One small question. Is the Horus' headgear made of hard plastic or is it soft like the Manta Ray Warrior from the Atlantis theme? Thanks for the fantastic review!
  15. These minifigs are my favorites too. The Samurai's head is great (and for somehow reminds me of Ken Watanabe from "The Last Samurai") and the torso's printing and colour looks promising. The Elf looks fantastic! The body printing looks very beautiful and detailed and the shield is really exceptional. The expression on the face looks very nice and the blond hairpiece fits perfectly. The Fisherman however is the minifig that gets my vote. I'm a town guy and this minifig really makes me want to have it. The dark blue knitted hat looks great and the overalls' orange is very beautiful. The new beard piece is also brilliant and the whole colour combination is a success.
  16. I'm really impressed! When I clicked on this topic and the upper part of the first image appeared, for the first 1-2 seconds I thought that this was a real life photo. Well done mautara, great work!
  17. Welcome to Eurobricks Daniel. It's great that you've found your way back to LEGO and believe me, you won't regret it (I don't know if your wallet will though. ) Your humanoid creation is more than impressive! Well done, fantastic work! Enjoy your stay in here and have fun!
  18. Congratulations Big Cam! Your devotion is great. (I managed to post before you do. I guess that the score is 2-2 now. )
  19. Brilliant job Chris. It turned out great.
  20. Excellent result BrickWild! I love it! It really looks like the old skool Mario. [thinking]Hmm...Should I wear overalls and leave a mustache?[/thinking]
  21. I bought the 7936 Level Crossing today, along with the last three Series 2 Minifigs I was missing. The lady at the counter not only let me search by using the barcode guide but she also helped me by opening a brand new box because there were no Spartans in the open one. Thanks sweetie!
  22. Hi Fred, you can always ask opinions and suggestions on what to buy in the official What LEGO Set Should I Buy? thread. P.S I'd go for the Grand Emporium.
  23. That blue and white... This is officially my favorite skin and banner! Now, this is why I prefer not to use the Skin/Banner Option. It's these small but great things that make you put a smile on your face from a pleasant surprise. It's that time of year again...
  24. Great entries guys! Imagination at its best! My picks: 1-Rick Not only for the originality of his idea but also for the execution. The tempo of the transformation is simply great. 2-Skalldyr Fantastic and clever creation and instantly recognisable at the same time. 3-Etzel Again, genius creation and instantly recognisable too. And I thought that duckies were innocent creatures...
  25. Welcome to Eurobricks Danny! It's great to see one more adult re-discovering the world of LEGO. No wonder why you liked Collectible Minifigs so much. Although that I never had any experience with Minimates figures your site looks pretty interesting. You still haven't seen BURP... Enjoy your stay!
