Excellent presentation (it's something more than a review to my eyes) for once more Fangy! Detailed, lots of great pictures and so much input, well done! It has become like some sort of a tradition, with every new Series I'm waiting for your review to show up. There are some great minifigs in this Series. Too bad that I'm gonna have a hard time finding the Fisherman. Only two? Come on!!

Hmmm, I'm not so sure about that. Maritime/Nautica subtheme is my all time favorite from the City/Town theme and I really have mixed feelings about the (preliminary picture of the) new harbour. The previous 2007 harbour set was one of the best city sets released during the last years in my opinion and the first comparison I make is definitely in favour of the 2007 set. There are some things that just don't work for me. The baseplates being used as a dock (huge con) and the number of minifigs (there is just one minifig on the ship as a crew ) are the most important elements I don't like. I don't want to jump into any early conclusions, I'll have to wait and see the official pictures to have a more solid opinion.

Thanks for the very nice review Brickviller. I'm not sure if I'm gonna buy this set but I must admit that there are some nice elements in it. The new police torsos (both the new black and the blue) and the small red car (I love it) are my personal favorites from it. Now that's a surprise. I didn't expect the tiles to be printed and that was great. To be honest though, the left tile in your picture looks like a sticker on a tile. The bottom left edge of it looks like a worn-off sticker and seems to be "out" of the tile.

Thanks for the teaser Rick! You've just made me feel very excited and happy! Good thinking. I suppose that it can go like that since the new 2010 Airport was accompanied with the standalone blue passenger plane. Great combination lightningtiger! Oh, my, this is going to be a great year!

Here you go Big Cam: This is from the small European 1989 catalog, the year the Pirates theme made its debut.

PAHAB - The human size robot

You've just made me post my very first comment in the Technic forum. Fantastic work Daniel! I remember your creation from your introductory topic and it truely deserved its own topic. One of the most impressive LEGO creations I've ever seen, well done buddy! P.S Have you gotten rid of the moths yet? -
You can always say that we're in a Christmas atmosphere period as we speak. A good excuse.

I've just finished building it and I must say that it looks absolutely beautiful. I didn't encounter any "roof building" problems and the light brick really adds to the whole Christmas feeling. I really wish I had a second light brick to put it in the ground floor. The plate-built tree is brilliant. One more thing that I'm thinking when looking at it, is that it can be a great present during Christmas holidays even for someone who is not a LEGO fan. Christmas decoration + building it yourself = Happiness!

Great looking plane. The blue-white colour scheme looks beautiful and the silver turbines are a nice addition. My excitement however didn't last long because... ...and this landed me at the Cruel Reality International Airport.

Happy birthday Bobby! I hope you're still enjoying your special day with your significant Otter. Always be happy! Now that's what I call a cake. Happy birthday to all the other members too!

Don't tempt me Etzel! Fantastic review buddy, thanks! Although that I'm not into Atlantis I must say that this set looks fantastic and I really consider of buying it. The ancient temple is beautiful and well designed and the new column pieces are just marvellous. The Poseidon minifig is to di(v)e for! Thanks again for the splendid review!

Click and Click. From The official photo thread of the Eurobricks 2010 Event in Billund. That was my first reaction too.

Beautiful work Henning and instantly recognisable. Great choice of pieces and genius use of them. Creativity at its best.

Thanks for the very nice review Enpaz. Good ol' classic town! Isn't that set just beautiful? I had bought it in 1986 or 1987 and I still have it and although that some pieces are yellowed I still love it. Your copy seems to be in excellent condition, you 're lucky! Thanks again for the review! P.S Even the boxes were great back then. I was using this particular one as a drawer for my minifigs.

Great work 74loloute! You've created a very beautiful scenery that looks full of life and has the actual looks of an ancient Agora. The buildings are very nice and the temple with the statues as columns reminds me of the Erechtheion on the Acropolis. Well done and keep on bricking greeking!

My all-time favourites are the ones escortmad79 and KielDaMan posted but since this topic is focused on three specific police sets I'll just pick my favourite from those. 7744 is just unbeatable. It's not just one of the best police stations ever made, it's one of the best City sets ever released. Lots of parts, a lot of building process involved, a great number of minifigs, two cars, one motorcycle, many interior deatails, lots of play features and it looks just beautiful. Plus, the size is perfect for both classic town (if you are into that) and city displays. One more advantage that 7744 has is that it can be MODded. The ground floor/shelter areas can easily be built to become cells, offices or whatever you can come up with. Still waiting to take a more detailed look at the new police station to have a more complete perspective of course.

Thanks for the pictures lightningtiger! The first comment I have to make is that it's a great thing that TLG is giving us civilian elements even in Police sets. I assume that the Bank set is considered to be from the Police line so that's encouraging. I like both cars from the Police Chase set and I'll finally get my first trike. It's a surprise that we also get a pavement's corner (or something like that). The Bank set looks good. Although that I don't like the form of the last 3-4 years' buildings (Construction Site building, Family Home, Pizza building), this one seems to be a bit different. I will even dare to say that it has some classic town taste on it. Perhaps it's the picture that deceives me, I don't know... I agree with Elijah here. Since we all know that City buildings are not designed to be "Cafe Corners", I think that this is a decent set and I believe that we were all expecting it to be something like that.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 4 discussion
Zorbas replied to legokuate's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Series 4 looks fantastic! Almost all minifigs look brilliant and the concepts are just marvellous. So many colours... -
Thanks for the nice review. I like this set and it is one of the new 2011 sets that I'm definitely gonna buy. Relatively cheap, 4 minifigs, two brand new torsos, the new K-9, a small vehicle, all these makes it a great choice for a semi-impulse purchase. Plus, I'll finally get my hands on the money tiles (did I just sound like one of those minifig robbers? ), a piece that I never had in my collection until now.

ASK HERE How to clean your LEGO sets/parts?
Zorbas replied to jngunsw's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Same here. I started the use of the toothbrush on my Black Seas Barracuda back in 1991 because I didn't have the luxury of disassembling it due to the fact that I had lost the instruction booklet. Since it was a set that had many areas and corners that weren't easily accessible with a regular cloth or towel, the toothbrush was the best solution. I also use liquid hand soap with the toothbrush. When I brought my childhood collection to surface some pieces were pretty dirty, so I just applied two or three drops on a wet toothbrush and the pieces became new again.
