USS Constitution Landing Craft: Captain's Gig mostly done
Admiral Croissant replied to Capn Frank's topic in Pirate MOCs
Your lifeboat looks very nice! Maybe a brown line on the outside would also look good, like on this picture: And, who is that monster sitting at the bow of the ship? The master chief? -
nice how you made the mountain piece into it, and I also like the way you made the blood A detail I also like is that you tied the cannon to the wall, I don't see that a lot but in real life a lot of fort cannons were tied to the wall (at least, I think they were but I'm not completely sure) Well sure in this case because otherwise it would fall towards the soldiers downstairs

A fine ship! The masts/sails could improve a bit, for example I think a spanker (sail) would give it a better overall-look. For the rest it's really a nice ship. Good idea of those redcoat soldiers to allure some sharks to kill the pirates certainly because the other people of the crew are not even aiming at the pirates Ow, and the colours are also great, I like the black& yellow stripes

St. Elizabeth Parish Church - Port of Brick Royal
Admiral Croissant replied to Commodore Hornbricker's topic in Pirate MOCs
Awesome! Port of Brick Royal must be very proud to have such a beautiful church. It looks a lot like the church it's based on (though your one seems taller) and also the windows give it a good look. The interior is also nice with a lot of great details, I like the benches a lot, and the table for the preacher. -
Buildings for my first Pirate island
Admiral Croissant replied to maydayartist's topic in Pirate MOCs
These buildings look very good, I like the tavern the most, it has interesting building tecnhiques The kontor is also great, and maybe some banners or flags would be a nice touch. It all looks a bit empty, but that's why I'm eager to see this when it's finished, when it's one village with a lot of people So keep up the good work (and welcome to the forum) -
I'd say, if the soldiers are marching a long way, it would be very useful for them to have a beckpack, but when they are fighting it's just an annoying obstacle. So it depends on the situation the soldiers are in.

I think the best place is the pirate MOC forum is the best place. minifigures can be just as interesting as other MOC's. I think a frontpage with Louis XIV or something like that won't cause less visitors. And you can always just put other MOC's (non-minifig) on the frontpage and leave the minifig's just on the forum itself. Something like that

really funny! Very nice ship, but I think I've said that too in the previous parts..onfortunately the captain is a bit strange, he could ruin the ship with a silly order Well, the nose job didn't turn out very well, but there is one very positive thing about it because now he can see with both eyes again!

Nice colourscheme, everything is a bit red.. I think these are the best lego-paintings I've ever seen (and one of the only ones )
-
it has turned out very well, I like the sails and the way you've built the back of the ship with the spectacles I you have another cannon i should have put it on the stern just like the other one to make it look even better. well it's nice, does it also have an interior?
-
Congrats! You've definetely earned it (though I don't know what the rest had made for the contest, I suppose it wasn't as good as you things) Very impressive fleet, and ofcourse the steam ship also has a working rudder-thing on the side of it. That's a really nice thing about it
-
very nice! I like the bridge, and the red flowers are also a nice detail. And I've never seen so many lego flowers!
-
You're right about that, a lego ship should be original and this one sure is The most important thing is showing your building skills and that's also very good possible with a ship like this.

Gentlemen, this is a day you will always remember...
Admiral Croissant replied to Talon Karrde's topic in Pirate MOCs
heheh This shows how much you can do with only a few soldiers and some tiles (and some other things) -
playmobil project - merchants' guild
Admiral Croissant replied to medieval_total_lego's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Funny idea to make this, and indeed it looks a lot like the playmobil-building, you could add some more details though. Well, it's funny, now you can start building the big playmobil castle with lego -
Medieval Layout on 2ºTOMARLEGO
Admiral Croissant replied to LBaixinho's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Yeah I thought the elefant, but like Sandy said I didn't know the orient expedition-elefants looked so much like the playmobil elefants, sorry, my fault +more respect for the MOC -
This is a bluecoats vs. redcoats forum, so I suppose I can still make a fool of the islanders in my MOC or somewhere else?
-
definetely ships for me! but buildings like the capstan inn are also very welcome ofcourse, only ships wouldn't be so nice either. The combinations are the most important, but personally I like ships more

Very good job! this was just what the lego-pirate world needed! There are just too many details to count.. I like the fireplace, and how you made the card games into the table The kitchen is also very much like a real kitchen of such an inn, but maybe it should have been a black. Well, the second and third floor are also lovely If I wasn't a bluecoat I would definetely spend some money there^^ or maybe I could sneek in, if pirates are welcome, bluecoats should be as well. I think in real life there were also officers of nations that were at war with each other but still met each other in pubs and inns. Well, great job!
