shit happens. sometimes, but in the end the bluecoats will always win, you'll see. The tank isn't our only secret weapon..

I didn't have enough, so I ordered some. When my shipment arrives, I will have 1 red boat, 2 reddish brown, and a red+ a brown canoo

My eye fixed on the bell immediately, very good how you made it (with the arch), I also like the roofs, and their colours. The fire looks great as well, you even made the roof in fire colour and in black for a small part, great details! As some other people have said before, the high rock-mountain thing is a bit too smooth, but for the rest it's just great

that looks awesome! It's harder to make something with Lcad than in real, so this must have been a hell of a lot of work! Respect that you have the patience and skills to make such a thing

Which company makes better pirate-themed sets?
Admiral Croissant replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Pirates
It's just what you like most, do you want to play a lot with it, or do you want to have some really good-looking figures and buildings.. I chose the last one so I voted for Mega-Blocks, but for the ships I like playmobil and lego the best. -
Maybe you can also make something like that by yourself, cut some pieces off it and melt the edges (to make it smooth). That might give the same effect as here. And you can just say it was a fabrication-failure, nobody will ever know I think I would be happy if I get one, it's just very unique, and hopefully you can also replace to object by ordering another one with bricklink

I believe it's 16 too, but I have one of my own and he has a very strange lenght, he is always a little bit too long or too short, I always had a fight with that thing well, just try 16

All the islands look magnificent, indeed, with some minifig's it would be even better Or else you could maybe put some flags in it, that might look great as well, to make it more something for this forum These are really pieces of art!

Yeah! (yoho, yoho-) a pirates life for me There should be a thing like this for the rest of the crew as well
-
Did I see a pirate with SUNGLASSES over there? it's a nice and (hopefully) strong crew, they only need some fighting experience
-
gheghe I think if anyone would have taken this fort, he would be very surprised to find this inside the building Always nice to have a look behind the scenes.

They can be good guys, some ordinary people didn't like the hard life of the Royal (or orther) navy anymore, so they became pirates. A lot of pirates had democracy, so anyone could become captain or somethig like that. And they also killed people in the real navies, so pirates weren't more cruel. So they don't always have to be the scum of society But ofcourse there are always some exeptions, and they had mean faces and can be used as the bad guys for lego (I'm not 100% sure if this story is correct, but I think so

Very good MOC!, as many people have said before, it's very ingenious how you made the blood slash under the head I also like how you made the chain fence, I haven't seen that before (or maybe I just didn't notice). I agree with Blackmoor that the red bricks don't suit very well in the building, but on the other way it might look boring without them (so just leave them, it's ok. ) So, good job, but next time should be just as good (or better) and bigger

Promotion of Zorro to the rank of Admiral
Admiral Croissant replied to Bonaparte's topic in LEGO Pirates
Congratulations zorro! (I always thought zorro would try to remain a secret but that will be very when you are an Admiral ) Anyway, keep on with the good work and maybe you will become president one day (or something like that ) -
The good, the bad, and the imperials
Admiral Croissant replied to General Armendariz's topic in Pirate MOCs
heheh! very funny But they should get the death penalty because they can't become friends, that's against the army-rules Hilarious, I didn't expect the bich-fight -
http://www.hermes-one.com/BavarianEpaulettes.jpg I believe these have been used in 1810.

That's a good price I think As many as possible! Well, I think for a ship like this, in real about 30-40, but since it is lego and there were always some people below the decks, I think 10-20 will do as well.

MOC British Naval Store House (picture heavy)
Admiral Croissant replied to Commodore Hornbricker's topic in Pirate MOCs
Ah, that explains a lot It's ok. Everyone should decide for himself what the meanings are of the flags and stuff like that, actually you have a big point there. The blue flag is just more naval indeed. But the post of Chiles, with the red 'first ship WIP' shows a redcoats naval flag on the sails... so that one doesn't exist as a real flag?or does it.. -
There are good and bad pirates and good and bad soldiers, I think it's up to the builder. And some minifig's just have a very mean face, I think everyone will use them as the bad guys, either they are pirates or soldiers.

Admiral Croissant replied to Commodore Hornbricker's topic in Pirate MOCs
It looks a bit like you are a bluecoat yourself, because you have a bluecoat flag, and in the discussion forum, a lot of people say this is also the flag of the French... But this thing looks awesome. I like how you put a cannon in the building (above the doors) like a sort of statue. And I'm very jealous of all the food, that's quite hard to get and very expensive. Good work! -
I like the one Houndblower made for the redcoats with the AoEIII screenshot (a beatiful painting), can you (Houndblower) also make something like that for the bluecoats? Then I will definetely use it! (maybe with a ship on it )
-
The head of the soldier is not very special, and it's just a bit empty, but the price is nice and there are also some very nice parts on it, like the weapons and the flag. I give it a 4

Proof of Imperial soldiers being french
Admiral Croissant replied to Emperor Claudius Rome's topic in LEGO Pirates
I think the colour of the uniforms doesn't matter a lot for bluecoats and redcoats. On the british ships, soldiers wore red clothes and naval officers wore blue clothes. I think a french ship should just wear the bluecoats flag and a british ship should have a redcoat's flag. It can be nice to make the crew in the same colour as the flag, but if you prefer the historically accuracy, you can also choose the real colours. That's what I think, people shouldn't take these things too accurate -
You could also put the stern chasers (cannons) on top of the poop deck instead of inside the cabin. But I'm not really sure if that's historically accurate. Then you could maybe better put them at the bow, or, like Cap'n Blackmoor said, at the broadside. Just try some things good luck

Looks like a very fine ship. Ships with these sails are always very good and fast sailors. The only suggestion I can give is to put the 2 square sails a little bit lower, remove the mast-thing (black beam) on the bottom of the main-sail (there should only be one on top of it) And you could add a little mast on top of the crow's nest. I really like the hull and I'm eager to see what you will make of the captains cabin.
