Admiral Croissant

This is a fine ship, nice colours, and I really like the sails (or to be more specific: the custom-made prints on the sails). The gundeck is a bit too crowded, but it's just a small ship so yo can't do much against it. There might be some things that are different from real ships, but that's not a big point, this is just a real classic lego ship

Yes that's right, but it's also a ship, and every ship with sails is welcome on the pirates forum, a lot of ships don't look a lot like pirate ships and some look also quite medieval, so I think that's not a big problem. It's also interesting to see these building techiques for guys who do make pirate ships..

Could be a fine idea, I would really like it if it's possible for everyone to be able to change te titles of the WIP-topics, that would be very useful.

Very original to make a ship this way! It really has that manga-feeling over it and it made me think of Link's ship in 'Zelda phantom hour glass'. The anchor is also nice, I might steal the idea It's a very fearsome ship btw, is there a small GARDEN in the back of the ship?!?

This ship is getting better all the time I think the triangle-shaped sail in the front would look better if you split it, so two smaller sails. And now one of them leads to the top of the biggest sail (of the fore mast) so the second sail should lead to the one above it. Well, for the rest there isn't much I can add to it I like the stern and the smaller cannons on the deck are also very nice!

Pirate forces between 1770-1805? I thought there were almost no pirates anymore at the time..(exept for the meditteranean sea+chinese sea). well, not so important, and in Legoworld things don't have to be the same as in the real world. For the rest: nice idea, I like the names and their stories And it's not very clear to me to what nations these guys belong, maybe you can add that to it.

Another nice thing about WIP-posts is not only that you can learn from other people's suggestions, but it's also very useful for ohter people because in the building progress you can see very good what building techniques are used, at least that's what I like about WIP's.

So here is the next update! This time wihout a story because I didn't even have my avatar at home So enjoy. First an overall-look, with a big source of inspiration as background This is the captain's cabin, it's a lot better than the first post, but not perfect. I need to change some colours like the white and blue boxes on the tables, I want to make them brown. You can also see a black and white pattern, I'm going to make the entire floor of that room with the pattern. This is one of the cannons, I'm going to attach them with ropes to the ship like can be seen here. You can also see the white pillars (?) which run through the entire ship. And the thing to load the cannon with. This is about how I'm going to make the side of the ship, ofcourse it's going to be yellow instead of white. The ropes from the crow's nest are going to the gray brick with the holes in it. You can also see the first crewmember of the ship, he's investigating the ship to see if it will be a good sailor and if he might better search for another ship This is the current state of the stern. The dragons and wings look nice in my opinion, but for the rest I'm not very satisfied with it, I think I'm going to make more yellow in it. Just another overall look, also with 2 lifeboats this time. This is the last pic. You can see the bow and figurehead better here. I'm quite satisfied with it, but I want to find a better way to put the figurehead on it. Well, that was it. I'm having holiday now, so it will take some time for the next update, but there will surely be another one! (ofcourse suggestions are very welcome again)

Very cool idea! onfortunately I'm already building a frigate and it takes already a lot of time and money, so I can't afford building another one within 6 weeks. Maybe when my ship is finished, I can try to build this one.

The ship is in a hidden place so it's impossible to sink it yet, you'll have to wait untill it sets sail, and ofcourse it's nicer to beat someone in a real fight instead of destroying a ship that's not finished yet, that's cowardous Well, anyway, I have ordered a lot of new bricks and already received them, so I think next week there will be a new update

They look quite similar, maybe custom made decals could improve it even more. A very important thing on those soldiers are their trousers, but it's very hard to make lego-feet like that. Also funny idea to make the bajonets that way

Funny ships I like the sails in the view on the back of the blue ship. These small ships are perfect for making movies, they can be moved very easily, are very playable and it's not very hard to get a small fleet. Also the stern on the redcoat ship is nice to see, but I think the spectacles from the captain are a bit too modern

Looks very promising again! I like the lanterns, and the cabin looks also very nice I think i'm going to 'steel' a lot of your ideas, though I had a lot of them already in mind. Well I believe this is going to be quite a big ship.. And I also believe my master and commander book was a big inspiration because I can spot a lot of nice details that can be seen in the book (and in the other one). I wish this ship would already be finished, I can't wait!

I would give it 3 masts instead of 4, that's more usual. For the placement I think you should watch some pictures on the internet, usually the space between the main mast and the mast at the bow (foremast?) is bigger than the space between the main- and 'stern'mast.

Nice MOC, the roofs could use some more work (SNOT, and maybe brown colour) but for the rest it's good. I could also spot a woman with a gun, that's not something you see a lot here

Pritty nice ship, especially for pirats, it's light and very fast, and not very difficult to sail with thous sails.

You sure need a lot of skills for this building stile, but it looks very nice, the bottom looks like (for example) the Prins Willim (of Cap'n Greenhair) But the side is pretty unique, I believe. I would love to see a complete with this building-style.

Last days, every topic is a big fight between bluecoats and recoats..I like that But I'm just going to say something about the amazing work of Sir Blackmoor. This humor doesn't make any sense at all, but that's just why it's funny And this all happened in one lifetime (Darwin's?) because he saw the first evolution. So that should mean that when you're fighting in the navy, your cannonball could suddenly turn into a redcoat's baby-head Well, if you shoot a redcoat babyhead to a redcoat enemy, I think they will become pretty scared (oh no, I DID provoke the redcoats again )

The bluecoats are usually french instead of american here. No, sorry, you are right, it's not too short. You could add another hull part, but it's ok now.
