  1. Yeah that's true. I usually post our models but he logged in with his account accidentally. It is 5am here! Hope you got the message BrickDoctor.
  2. Just highlighting what the Ithorian Jedi may look like It's a shame Arealight did not continue producing these. I was lucky to pick up a few years ago before he stopped making them. Can't wait to see TLC's version
  3. Did someone say 'Hammerhead' Jedi !!! And 'Hammerhead' technician!!!
  4. I think Ten Numb wore the white outfit and Nien Numb wore the red - at least that's what the EU says. But your right, the white outfit was never seen beyond promo material and action figs.
  5. Looks like we might get a more accurate B-Wing pilot helmet :)
  6. I have fond memories of watching 'Droids' in the 80's :) 'Ewoks' however was another story.... ;)
  7. Star Wars: Rebels will become a more important focus for Lego than the prequels, as it will be new and fresh, and will speak to the kids. Rebels is essentially an OT era show. OT sets have always sold better than prequel sets and with the original cast returning, Lego will definitely push the OT even more. A few occasional prequel sets may appear once in a blue moon, but the prequel era is over for all intents and purposes.
  8. With a new sequel trilogy on the way and the end of The Clone Wars cartoon, I suspect less prequel sets will be produced. Both Disney and Lego will want to concentrate on bringing the OT and characters more prominently into the foreground. The prequel era will dwindle and eventually die. I suspect the recent prequel sets will be the last. Disney will want the golden age of the OT to cleanse people's memories of the silly prequel era.
  9. I am not saying that the cantina does not include new minifigures. But the preliminary image in the catalogue which has been posted refers to 75050 not the cantina. Just because that image is below the cantina pics everybody assumes it refers to the cantina. But in fact that particular image refers to the B-Wing, set 75050.
  10. Spyderlord, the 2 new minifigures mentioned in the catalogue are for the B-Wing, not the cantina.
  11. 75050 B-Wing includes B-Wing pilot (red), new rebel technician / mechanic and a unidentified figure (prelim).
  12. The '+2 new minifigures' belong to set 75050 - The new B-Wing, not the cantina.
  13. Lol! It's universally agreed that Episodes I-III fall far behind the original trilogy in quality, logic and entertainment value. Just ask Mr Plinkett :) Check out the RedLetterMedia reviews for a perfect review of the atrocious prequels.
  14. Thanks guys, glad you like it! I mostly used the good old' Star Wars Technical Commentaries (sadly dying out, I remember when it was the go-to place before wookieepedia ). The new torso & legs from the 75033 seem to be the overalls that the Imps wear sometimes (these naval troopers with shoulder emblems for instance) which are the same as TIE pilot flightsuits - they aren't seen in the films wearing kepi hats like the minifig in the microfighter star destroyer though. I'll probably add the Royal Guards (standalone division from the other military forces). I only skipped sandtroopers because of the three ranks (orange>white>black) TLC has made over the years.
  15. Hi everyone, was working ages ago on this idea, but with the release of the Imperial gunners I can finally finish it off! Hope you like it
  16. Set Information Name: Tractor Number: 6608 Theme: Town Sub-Theme: Maintenance Year: 1982 Pieces: 21 Price: Pocket money set Minifigures: 1 Databases: BrickLink; Brickset; Peeron Introduction I’ve been meaning to fill in some of the gaps in the reviews index with my collection. So first up is this little gem from 1982, one I've always been very fond of – usually the first of my town sets that gets built when the bug hits to build the entire theme. Instructions I've long lost the original box, but the cover features the classic minimalist town background whilst the reverse side of the pamphlet features some alternative builds, a go-kart and a couple of dragster-like vehicles. Parts Laid out here are all 17 parts (21 if you count the 4 tyres). No stickers or printed pieces feature here – all except the tyres and axles are obtainable nowadays. Minifigs Probably one of the simplest minifigs ever produced – not even front printed! The fig looks like a general townsperson, nothing to indicate a farm/maintenance theme here. This particular arrangement only featured in this set. The torso lacks any sort of internal bracing – take care removing his arms – and insert short legs at your peril! The Build The model really captures that appealing ‘dinky-toy’ look. TLG would later recycle the design (often featuring a lifting bucket) in several sets: 6603 Shovel Truck (1985) - Yellow 6504 Tractor (1988) - Blue 1633 Mini Loader (1990) - Yellow 6541 Intercoastal Seaport (1991) - Blue 4563 Load and Haul Railroad (1991) - Red (edit - thanks eurotrash!) Summary Playability: 7/10 - Just loving the noisy racket those old wheels make! Design: 9/10 - Pretty much perfect to the point that TLG keeps using it – most recently with 4899. Minifigs: 8/10 - Although nondescript, can be used for nearly anything town-related. Price: 8/10 - Pocket money sets are in short supply nowadays, often available only in certain regions or with promotional periods. Overall: 8/10 - One of those timeless designs that just screams classic Lego. Anyway, thanks for reading – I’ll be back with more reviews in the near future!
  17. +1 to Praiter Yed & +1 to RednWhite Both great straightforward trades, cheers!
  18. Thanks for the comments guys! I've put together a rough scene with the WIP playset. I'm especially proud of Max Rebo's organ - I might cut up some black tubing and place them in the robot arm connectors to act as keys though. And yes, the whole floor is designed to fit on top of another part of the palace...
  19. Hiya everyone, been a while since I posted anything - plus I've been sitting on this design for ages! It's a teaser of a project I've been working on for a while now. Hmmm, I wonder where that red protocol droid wound up...
  20. Hmm, it would depend if the cockpit connection could be reorganized (area at the bottom-right of this pic) or even thickened to 2 studs width for support. I normally pick up the model for swooshing where the main wing joins the engines/s-foils. Maybe Krispy has a different approach to the connection that might allow the beams to be continued past the cockpit, otherwise you'd be relying on plates to hold it together.
  21. Hi guys. Thanks for the great comments I have made a few improvements to my original design. - Fold-away landing gear - More accurate detailing on the underside - including venting - Opening cockpit - More accurate thruster control jet on the rear Enjoy! http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=523534
  22. Thanks for the comments guys! I've already added some improvements - opening canopy, more detailing on the underside. My starfighter squadron keeps expanding!
  23. Hi everyone, thought I'd share the latest addition to my fleet! I've tried to design it so that it can be easily enough made with different colour schemes etc. I'm happy to say it's very swooshable and sturdy
