I've recently read the first issue of The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys. It's really good so far, I can't wait for the next issue!

Those alternate universes sound really interesting. I'd be interested to learn more about the Justice Apex, and to see Von Nebula as the leader of Hero Factory! that'd be great. I hope some more will be revealed eventually but this seems like a one off for now. I don't really follow the "Missions" books and the like, but have all of these alternate universes appeared in them, or is it just a few?
-
Hmm this is weird. Maybe it was just a preliminary name for a set...I suppose it COULD be an upcoming set, but it seems unlikely. It does certainly sound like it belongs in the Chima universe though, yeah.

This is absolutely fantastic. It looks so solid and cohesive and the mutation is superb. I really like how the mutations seems to be spreading and the use of the Inika Kanohi is great! best of luck in the contest.

Great! I hope it's an online offer too, though. it is: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?app=core&module=attach§ion=attach&attach_rel_module=post&attach_id=11523

Very nice! the little lizard has adorable eyes and a great, playful posture. The mutation is very H.R Giger, which is of course a very good thing. That brick built brain slug is fantastic too.

Wow! I'm really glad that Constraction figures are getting some love. It looks like this is going to be a fun month!

I agree - I suppose LEGO wouldn't be as concerned about us seeing preliminary photos of sets that are close to one year old now as they would if they were prelimaries of sets that are yet to be released though. Isn't the main purpose of the confidential watermarks to try to prevent anyone who might be able to replicate a design and sell a knock off product from seeing them? but yeah...maybe best not to risk it.

Doctor Who, Torchwood, Sarah Jane Adventures...
Rocketbilly replied to The Kid's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Interesting. Well, I knew that he'd have to go eventually but is a Christmas Special really the best time to do it? I'm not so sure. I'd much rather see him go at the end of a two parter, or perhaps even the 50th anniversary special. Ah well, I'm looking forward to seeing who gets to play the next Doctor, anyway. Thanks for posting! -
I'm considering making a Pick-A-Brick order, but before I do I was hoping somebody would be able to tell me if those "unprinted" parts that appeared for sale earlier this year (Breakout torso pieces, transparent Brain Attack visors etcetera) are, in fact, unprinted as they appear, or merely just some sort of anomaly or error in the system? ( I seem to recall them having different parts numbers to their printed equivalents) I doubt I'll bother making the order if I can't get them. The don't seem to be avaialble on Bricklink yet, and I doubt they really ever will be, either.

Raven Renegade - Legends of Chima MOC
Rocketbilly posted a topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
This is the Renegade - a medium sized fighter craft created and piloted by the rogue cyborg Raven tribe member, Rogis. The wings, tail, claws, and beak are all articulated plus it features a pair of flick fire missiles underneath and two Chi powered jet engines on either side of the rear. I apologise for the poor quality of the pictures - it' sjust a little too large to fit comfortably in my makeshift studio at the moment, but I did my best. Renegade 4 by BillyRockets, on Flickr -
Here are my MOC versions of the entire Alpha Team. They're not intended to be overly complex or fancy, I was aiming to keep them as plain as possible while retaining each character's "flavour". These are roughly ninety percent complete, there are only a few things I need to change...but for the most part, these are basically my "modernised" versions of the original 2010 figures with Nex, Evo and Rocka thrown in to create "vanilla" version of the figures. (Apologise for the shoddy camera work and makeshift studio, I'm having to make do for now until I can get proper equipment...I've got a four year back catalogue of MOCs from various themes to upload!) I agree. Either that or play the free trial version. But honestly, it's completely safe and legitimate, but I can understand your reservations about paying online. My Dad is exactly the same. But you're asking for trouble if you try to download the paid version of the game for free.

I'm not entirely sure if the head piece will get new printing myself. It DOES look different in that picture, with the gold being almost yellow however in many existing images of Rawzom it looks like he has no beak printing, so it might just be that one image.

I can't ever see LEGO releasing a set this complex. It's armoured from pretty much every angle, and I'd imagine the instructions to build it would be a nightmare to the average member of the intended age range, what with all the different angles involved and even those hoses could cause all sorts of headaces with the way they snake around.Obviously it wouldn't be a cheap setand I can't see LEGO releasing a figure like this for adult collectors, either. Action figure themes really don't seem popular with the adult collectors at all and I'm sure LEGO knows that.

Some good ideas! I'd really like to see a black team for some reason - they could specialise in stealth or something. I doubt TLG wil add anymore factions though. I'd really like to see some sort of hovercraft for the humans, with some sort of deploable flying vehicle and perhaps some sort of large insectoid vehicle with an opening shell with an interior and light up eyes. I really liked the old lightup noisy brick that came with some of the old Insectoid sets and it would be nice to see them appear in this theme, too.
-
Fond of Billy Starbeam eh? Some good ideas here. Isuppose this thread runs the potential risk of turning into battle pack after battle pack but I think the alien queen and a human base would be great ideas. I'm not so sure we'll see a third wave of GS sets but you never know. I think this theme is just going to be replaced by NInjago next year.

Legends of Chima 2013 (Action Figures)
Rocketbilly replied to DarkSurgeXL's topic in LEGO Action Figures
I sort of agree. In the case of Gorzan's mace where one hemisphere is transparent and the other solid it does indeed look a litlte jarring, but I don't mind it so much on Cragger's staff thing since the two blades are fairly obviously two seperate pieces. Co-injected pieces would look great though, of course. -
Yeah, the trans bright green is definitely a colour I assosciate with Rocka, too - but not for cladding, more as a colour to use on his weapons and equipment.
-
Personally I've always considered Rocka's primary colours to be gold, titanium metallic and white which is why I wasn't surprised to see his jetpack was white. I was putting off getting the standalone Rocka set after Jet rocka was announced but now I think i'll get him anyway. I'm not completely sold onJet Rocka just yet but I think he has promise.

4. Kristel - 2 points ( I liked this one the most. Great idea) 13 Wall E2624 -1point (Space Police III - awesome!) 41.legoalbert - 2 points (Charming avatar - fantastic parts use and refreshing lack of minifigs)

Why not? if it's the same as the hand we have now but with a pin hole as opposed to an axel hole I could see it being incredibly useful - it has always annoyed me that if you want to make a character weild a two handed staff weapon you have no choice but to make it split in half in order to fit it in the hand but then having to use another piece in place of the hand in order to have the staff appear whole when detached from a characers hands - i.e placed in storage on their back or something. That has annoyed me ever since the Rahkshi. Having a hand with a connection like this would make such weapons far easier to make - not to mention would allow Evo's spear to spin like in the trailer.

Legends of Chima 2013 (Action Figures)
Rocketbilly replied to DarkSurgeXL's topic in LEGO Action Figures
Not to mention the weird axe - it looks too spindly and the connection of the head to the shaft just looks flimsy. That right angle looks so awkward. I know that's how axes are but something about it looks off to me. -
Excellent! I shall follow suit. EDIT: I'm getting a "page not found" message when I try to search for parts.Looks like I need to wait a little while longer.

Chima Crocodile Clan Missile Tank.
Rocketbilly replied to Hrw-Amen's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
This is really nice! I prefer it to the original model myself - I'm primarily interested in that set for the parts and seeing what you've done with them has shown me that it's actually a pretty decent pick up.
