Book II - Mitgardia: Guild sign-up and Discussion
Alfadas replied to Ecclesiastes's topic in Guilds of Historica
That is something I don't like. Trashtalking. I just don't like people doing that. But well, with just building and commenting I think I someday will get the tag. Hopefully. -
Book II - Mitgardia: Guild sign-up and Discussion
Alfadas replied to Ecclesiastes's topic in Guilds of Historica
I guess just make a huge amount of MOCs and post them. That seems to be the only way. Just keep on MOCing and eventually we get the tag. -
[MOD] Black Knight's Castle - Fortified With Moat, Stable
Alfadas replied to Vorkosigan's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Nice one! Like the stable, and the higher tower! Great work! -
Well it is a good idea, but then most members won't see everything. But if there are 4 banners (1 for every guild), changing every hour, that would be cool.

AoM - Farm Phase ll - Trouble with the farm
Alfadas replied to Alfadas's topic in Guilds of Historica
Thanks guys. I will be working very hard on the Phase lll, to make it, at least for me, very big and phase lll worthy. I know I could have done a better job at phase ll, but it was a quick build, to go between the two main phases. I hope you understand that. Also, as MKJoshA said, not everybody has a huge collection of bricks. I especially, because most of my sets and a lot of my parts are stored away. There is simply not enough room where I live now. I will try to increase my collection, and sneak some sets back from my grandparents house to mine, but for the coming at least 6 months, my collection is minimum. But I will try to make the best of it.- 14 replies

AoM - Farm Phase ll - Trouble with the farm
Alfadas replied to Alfadas's topic in Guilds of Historica
Thanks for the replies! And no, no offense taken I agree with you guys, but that quote comes directly from the AoM challenge page, and I guess that one is correct. But don't worry, phase lll will have a farm. With stable (if my bricks allow me to build that).- 14 replies

AoM Phase ll entry here. Just a quick freebuild. -
Part l (sorry about the quality...) "Snow is early this year" Björn thought. Since he found the ring, 10 years past. He inherited the farm 4 years ago. Since then, he was very busy giving orders. His father won a sort of lottery and won a lot of money. He hired a few guys to help on the farm. He also expanded the farm. Unfortunately his father fell of the roof of the stable he was trying to fix. He broke his neck and died. Now, Björn was walking besides a field with crops. "Hurry with harvesting them!" He shouted at the workers. With the snow being this early this year, the crops were needed more then ever. It promised to be a long and very cold winter. None was to be wasted. Suddenly, a guy with a scarf over his mouth and a piece of cloth over his head jumped out of the crops. He pointed his sword at Björn and shouted: "Give me that ring! Now!" "I said now! Give it!" "Drop your sword!" Alfadas shouted as he run to the robber. He was in town, visiting some distant relatives. He heard screaming and decided to check it out. A Mitgardian guard came with him. The thief decided to fight. He lost. Alfadas asked Björn what it was all about. "This ring. Once it was a very powerful ring. I couldn't show it to anyone, I couldn't throw it away. Anyway, it is a long story. Can I invite you to my farm to talk about it?" "Yeah, sure. I could use some company, other than this nice guard." "very well, let's go". This is my AoM Farm Phase ll entry. Hope you like it, C&C welcome. As you have guessed, this story will be continued.

Might give this a try, not very positive about it though. My editing skills are not that good. Looking forward to the entries!

Book II - Mitgardia: Guild sign-up and Discussion
Alfadas replied to Ecclesiastes's topic in Guilds of Historica
Congrats all on the tags. Would be nice to get one, as I am active since I joined. Been in all challenges except the GNAR and Mount Up. But I think I have to make more MOCs then. Anyway, I am happy for you guys that got it! I am currently not as active MOCing as I hoped, mainly because school starts again. But I still enjoy every body's entries! -
Are you a collector, MODer, or MOCer?
Alfadas replied to Paul B Technic's topic in General LEGO Discussion
WelI, I am part Collector, as I make the sets I get according to the manual, but also part MOCer. I sometimes buy multiple of 1 set for the parts, and I also buy loose parts. So I'd say I am 60% collector, 40% MOCer. -
Ok, that is close to where I live. Maybe I can visit it someday. Get some better looks at it. Lots of nice round towers, kinda hard to make with Lego.

Nothing. I said "not a lot". That means there are some nice ones, but countries like England and France have more, bigger castles. I like that one! But what castle is that?
-
Unfortunately I can't be much of help, not a lot of interesting castles here in Netherlands. But I also would like to get some ideas, so please share them!

Sounds nice! Looking forward to some MOCs. Body modifications. Hmm. Like wooden legs, metal arms?

Alfadas replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Thanks. I don't have that set, so I didn't recognize it. Now it does ring a bell. Did I mention that the review is awesome? If so, ignore this. If not, this is a great review!- 156 replies

REVIEW: 71007 LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 12
Alfadas replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I love the Hun Warrior! Such a great figure! I love that new furry cape. Awesome. Also battle goddess is cool, and Jester and Wizard. One question though, is that queen in the last picture (blue dress, gold crown) a custom fig? I don't recognize it. If it is custom, could you tell what torso you used? Anyway, Great review, and I love it!- 156 replies

Probably like you, for an orc. Or maybe a berserker viking. I don't know. But I will definitely use it!
