Earth defends HQ is great and a must have if you have any adu sets, its the best of the lot. 7985 does not seem like a great saving and I wouldn't go for that.

True but just one real exclusive minifigure is not great, could of had a exclusive Lurtz and making the ent treebeard would be another exclusive and then Merry and Pippin to add to the numbers which would make 8 still less than Pirate Ship Ambush. But it is a great build.

So a random Orthanc question, in the dungeon the middle part should be deeper than the rest. Is there anything behind the sticker of the wargs?

yep could be the biggest set ever and a whole wave just to cover everything and then your still have to buy two or more or some of the sets

Minas tirith is so much more important and could be the best and biggest Lego set ever.

Given the new 10236 Ewok Village I am really wishing we got more minifigures with Orthanc, I mean just one real exclusive its not even as good as the ones we get with the black gate. I do like the fact that Orthanc is about the build but a few more exclusive would have been nice after all they made a play set which many didn't want but if they did it this why which I like now then more minifigures would have been good. I guess there are not that many they could have added but it really needed more. Thinking about it more that fact that we can get the wizard battle for £12 really takes away from this set.

am I the only one that thinks we might get 4 waves with the 4th after all the hobit waves being the biggest wave all about gondor and in wave 3 we will just get other sets we are missing like treebeard, balrog and mount doom.

I would say I am waiting for double points to get Orthanc because my wife wont let me have it till my birthday anyway which is fair given how much it is. But what I am really hoping for is a cool LOTR exclusive polybag like Jor-El, anyone think this might happen, July maybe and what could it be old Bilbo?

Ok so I just got 4 uruk hai army sets for £15 each half price to go with the one I have already. So there goes my one of a set rule although if I say eomer is just an rohan soldier then it is a great battle pack although it would have been better if it had an elf in it too. But buying the set was much cheaper that bricklinking the mini figures. But what will the wife say.

Was just joking about having to do what Lego told me to do but I have the rule to just buy one of any set to keep the cost down, there have been lots of sets I have wanted 2 of and if I had got them all I would spend way to much so the rule helps me not get carried away in the moment of a good sale or set. With LOTR Lego sets you could buy two or more of all of them and moc a bigger set to make it look more like the real thing but I have to stop some where. With the black gate I will get 2 sets because unlike other sets that are just a bit smaller than they should be the black gate is missing a lot of it and the second tower is a must for me so im glad that it is made to have two so I feel better about breaking my rule and won't mean that now I buy 2 of everthing. I need the rule to stop me buying too much. Do other people have rules for this reason?

Just looked at the instructions and cant see where it shows two Uruk-Hai Army sets, which number book is it in. I must do what Lego tell me

Hi just picked up Orc Forge from Tesco half price using double tesco points so only cost me £10 in points other sets were 25% off and looks like they are clearing them ready for the new sets so hope the UK will be getting them soon. When the sets first came out Orc Forge was the one I never thought I would get but the connection to the Tower of Orthanc (which I will get even at full price) meant I could not pass it up at that price. But I have to say the set is really nice and I like the lightbrick which I didn't think I would care about. I am now trying to work out if I should get any more Uruk-hai Army sets just for the minifigures but I have a rule not to buy more than one of each set and I am already planning to break it with two black gates but thats allowed cos Lego tells you to buy two. Anyway just waiting for a good pic review or pics of 2 sets put together. Come on people we don't have the sets yet in the UK so for now we have to live vicariously though you lucky ones.

That's a good idea, I think I will just keep the main part as it is but redo the far left and far right so its not a gate at all and make it into a non moving wall. Will use the 4 rock parts and maybe some more bricks to make better rocks each side, getting larger as they go away from the wall like they should be.

Odd don't Lego know what its meant to look like, why not just have two sets together, im sure lots of people on here will make better looking gates with two sets than that.

Thanks that's great, wanted to see what they did with the black gate and how they used more than one. Is there only one tower, it does look odd with all the door handles. Think two sets could look good if done right.

Thanks, I have a rule not to buy more of one of any set and needed a reason, any reason to break it and if Lego think you should buy more than one who am I to argue Your right it is at the bottom of the tower you can see a hinge at the top so it must swing up
