  1. Xander squats patiently, keeping a watchful eye out for anything suspicious.
  2. Whatever the heroes decided, Xander was in agreement -- R'Kilf it was.
  3. Xander notices the opposing Barbarian staggering, seizing the opportunity to strike the finishing blow. Xander readies an attack at Pongcanis Barbarian from the front row.
  4. "Benji looks to be in worse shape than me; I'd be willing to take my chances, as my ability allows me to recover health after the battle is over." Xander ponders his next move, waiting for the others to respond. OOC: Did you catch Sandy's edit to the Barbarian class Brickdoctor? I ended up trading in my bedroll for 5 gold.
  5. The Pongcanis Barbarian could wait; Xander shifted his focus to the Pongcanis Knight. Xander attacks Pongcanis Knight from the front row. "That leaves the Rogue for you, right Ad-Hoh?"
  6. We'll see if it really is hacked after this battle.
  7. Xander readies his hefty hammer. "The Barbarian is mine," Xander proclaims with a steely determination in his eyes. "Looks like we could use another hero aiming for the knight; Leo perhaps?" Xander prepares to attack Pongcanis Barbarian from the front row.
  8. Xander is wary of the Mopag, but he agrees they may have some useful information. If anything were to happen overnight, he was confident the team could handle it.
  9. Sensing he would not get any more information from the bartender, Xander politely thanked the man and made his way back to the entrance where the other heroes had begun to gather. "No new details out of the bartender," Xander relayed to Thormanil. "He's heard about the Lion Knights and their altercations with the Shadeaux, but nothing out of the ordinary."
  10. With Thormanil striking up a conversation with one of the patrons of the tavern, Xander walks over to the bartender and asks if any strange or nervous individuals have passed through recently; he motions in Thormanil's direction and mentions the dagger, hopefully sparking the memory of the drink server.
  11. Xander was eager to leave the mysterious forest, staying near the back of the group of heroes and listening for anything out of the ordinary.
  12. "Thank you for the Grand potion, Tomas; it is much appreciated." "I agree with the others in our next destination -- Mopag seems like the next logical place to visit. We have grown strong over these past few nights, so I'm confident we can overcome any evil that may come our way."
  13. "Thank you Thormanil, it seems we all make a good team." Xander focuses his attention on the Bioluminescent Mopag Scorpion, readying an attack from the front row. OOC: If the enemy you are targeting dies before your turn, you would just target the next enemy in line right? I just want to make sure that radioactive scorpion dies.
  14. Xander aims his hammer at Mopag Frog B, attacking from the front row.
  15. Xander indeed saw nothing out of the ordinary at the site and so decided to search more extensively behind the thick brush and large tree roots nearby.
  16. Somewhat taken aback by the glowing eyes of the enemies, Xander quickly composes himself and hurries to the front row, taking aim for his attack at the Mopag Mutant Spearman.
  17. Xander was never one to make trouble -- he agreed with the majority, hammer at the ready. He made his way towards the tavern near the back of the group, keeping a keen eye out for any potential trouble.
  18. Xander deftly lifts the hammer from his back, brandishing the massive weapon; he quickly proceeds to attack Thief from front row.
  19. Xander nods tacitly, heeding the words of Isaac carefully. The decision is not a hard one for Xander, who immediately takes ownership of the Shadeaux Hammer. There is an odd aura about it, but the combination of balance and workmanship is not lost on Xander. Stepping to the side, he squats in the dancing shadows of the torch with one arm propped on his new weapon; he silently hopes the wait for his other companions is a short one.
  20. Xander calmly but quickly locates the shed selling bedrolls and buys one for himself, hoping for the best but preparing for the worst. With a cost of 5 gold, Xander is left with 5 gold to his name.
  21. Xander approaches the quest board, sensing the start of something great. Noticing his name under Quest #4, he grips his hammer with renewed vigor and heads out the door.
  22. "My hammer...." Xander paused for a moment. "The hammer is a symbol of my tribe. Every young warrior must make his own: gathering the materials, binding them together and testing your bond with the weapon. The hammer is an extension of our body; it can settle disputes, but it can also rebuild. Although the hammer may change, the spirit of the original lives on." "As for my origin, I hail from a Southeastern tribe near the foothills of the Mountains of Nathuz. Drandora is the closest settlement; we prefer to remain nomadic, however, roaming the forests and plains beyond the outskirts of town."
  23. Xander heard a strange voice calling to him and turned towards the sound. To his amazement it was not a human but a beast. He had grown accustomed to non-human kinds, but this one was different. Nevertheless, he decided to address him and the group seated close by. On his way over to the table, he politely called to the barmaid: "I'd be much obliged to have a glass of water. Send it the way of the tan beast sitting in the corner over there if you don't mind." Gently lifting a seat from a nearby table, he set it down near a shady looking mage with a black cap. He glanced around the table and noticed several radiant ladies and some not-so-radiant others; he made eye contact with the beast and proceeded to speak: "Thank you for inviting me over here, the name's Xander. I come from a place where nature and people are one, so this giant hall is a bit intimidating for me. I appreciate the hospitality; do all of you have names? I'm not one for much talking, but I'll gladly listen." He nimbly strapped the large hammer to his back, forgetting it might get in the way of others. A lone warrior through training, he would have to learn the virtue of teamwork -- sooner rather than later.
  24. Having returned from his stay out in the wilderness, Xander notices the commotion at the Quest Board. Letting the crowd die down some, he walks up and neatly writes his name under both Quest #4: Taming the Lions and Quest #5: Cave Sounds, hoping to make some new friends in the meantime.
  25. I have a question for you Sandy: will all the quests take this long to complete? It's coming up on three weeks, and they're still going. I'm new to this whole message board RPG so not sure how long other games take, but if it this prolonged I may have to drop out because of my research and schoolwork.
