Xander enters the marketplace, preparing himself for the long journey ahead of him in Quest #17. Xander feared the enemies would be larger in number and strength than the previous quest -- he would need a stronger weapon. Reasoning that protecting his quest mates in the first place would be a wiser choice than using the slow process of reviving them with Phoenix Essence, he made his way to the Smithy; upgrading his Pongcanis Club from WP:5 to WP:8 filled Xander with determination. With his coin pouch -210g lighter, he made his way back to Heroica Hall with 30g remaining.

"Hello William, it is nice to meet another hero that will embark on Quest #17 soon," Xander responds in a calm tone. "It seems the Shadeaux cannot be trusted, they care only about themselves and not about the welfare of other peoples or the land they live on. Having been held captive by the elves for some time, they are a proud race and will not stand to see their fellow elves die in vain. Their deceased leader was a ruthless elf, although it seems evil is not something that is inherent in their race. The Lion Knights I have not dealt with, although we shall know soon enough the character of these men."

"Being a Barbarian, I cannot give you any advice in the magical arts; however, we must never lose sight of the greater good. I fear myself and my fellow questers got caught up in the actions of Quest #4, and so we did not think clearly in the end." Xander continues after a brief pause. "You are wise beyond your years, mage. I fear with no cleric in our party, there will undoubtedly be untimely deaths. I will purchase more Phoenix Essence in preparation for our battles ahead." "Thank you, friend. I hope to see you in a future quest if fate allows." Xander noticed De'kra deep in thought, allowing him to continue in self-reflection undisturbed. Out of all the heroes in Quest #4, the shade seemed most affected by the events that had transpired. He hoped his fellow companion would soon realize the actions that were currently unfolding were not his fault, and that oftentimes the best healing medicine was to help others less fortunate than him.
-
"I will try my best to rectify what we have caused," Xander proclaims, reassuring the shade with a solemn nod. He noticed the sign-up sheet included many first time heroes, but Xander was confident his party would prevail.

Nice review, got this for my 7 year old niece. Seems that the police/robber theme would appeal more to the boys, hopefully she won't mind (I have a feeling the dog will be her favorite piece) .

Xander returned to the hall after a lengthy stay outdoors, refreshed and relaxed after a grueling quest. As he made his way into the hall, he noticed two new quest sign-up sheets had been posted and proceeded to write his name carefully under both of them: Quest #18: The Storm and Quest #19: Let's Start a Riot. Hopeful of future selection, he made his way to an empty table and began to observe the other heroes that had gathered in the hall.

I think I know the answer but I just wanted to check -- you don't lose any gold if you get knocked out, right?

Review: 5887 Dino Defense HQ
posades replied to Masked Builder's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Awesome review Masked Builder, the pictures taken are phenomenal. Really interested in the new hairpiece for male minifigs. I wonder if that's going to replace the standard combover we've seen for ages; does that hairpiece come in any other sets from 2012? (preferably a cheaper one ) -
Having returned from a long quest, Xander was eager to resupply his inventory. "Hello Portia, I'd like 1 Phoenix Essence please-- which costs 50g while selling back my Shadeaux Hammer (WP: 4) for +20g." With a net spending sum of -30g, Xander was left with 240g in his possession. He settled down comfortably in a shaded area directly outside Heroica Hall, content with his progress so far. Although he still had two weapons at his disposal, Xander could never part with his Enigmatic Hammer which had special meaning to him.

Xander slowly makes his way to Heroica Hall, the memories of his latest adventure still fresh on his mind. Noticing several quest sign-up sheets posted on the bulletin board, he reads each description carefully and scribbles his signature under two of them-- Quest #15: Hoisting Down the Jolly Roger and Quest #17: The Lion's Share. Waiting for the next step in his journey to begin, Xander makes his way to the marketplace to take care of some monetary business.

Agreed, the story was great and the pictures were awesome-- really sucked you into the quest. Thanks again!

Heroica RPG - Quest #4: Taming the Lions

Very well then, hopefully no further healing will be needed. OOC: Just to be clear, I could theoretically throw Thormanil a potion and make it count as my turn, right? That's what I was thinking anyways. -

I would, Thormanil, but it seems the battle is close to finishing so it might be better for you to play it safe while I get an extra hit in. Xander targets Lord Ricroar from the front row. -

Well we already have one hero targeting him, so I assumed we should try to take out one of the enemies this round. Since most of the others were targeting Keveak, I decided it would be wise to help them. What's your reasoning for me targeting Ricroar? -

Does anyone have any ideas? Should we wait until nightfall and see who approaches the house? -

It seems like this camp is mainly a resting ground for the lion troops here. Although I'm curious as to what the other tents hold, Cinna makes a good point. -

Hopefully we'll finish off the enemies this round to avoid any further reinforcements. Xander readies an attack towards Lion Crossbowman from the front row. -

That sounds like a good plan. I will attack Lion Footsoldier A from the front row. OOC: If we kill the Lion Captain during the second round, will the two extra soldiers still show up? -

Should I focus on trying to deal a final blow to the Lion Captain, or attack an enemy that has not been targeted yet? -

Do you think there could be anything useful that we could use in the Supply Tent?
