Xander glanced in the direction of Galen, the momentum of his swing bringing his eyes to the limp body of his friend. He immediately dropped his weapon and felt for his back pocket, making sure he still had the magical potion. Phoenix essence in hand, he raced to the side of Galen and prepared the medicine. OOC: You want me to revive you Fugazi? Seems kind of unfair to autoplay the next round without giving you a chance to get some exp. If you don't want me to use it then I'll have to have another character stop me from doing the action.

Xander was locked in battle with the lancer, repeating his action. OOC: If I don't get the finishing blow on this darned lancer I'm going to be mad.
-
Xander continues to target the lancer, attacking from the front row.
-
OOC: Do the updated stats in your newest post reflect the gold we found in the fort, Jim? Sorry, I don't remember how much gold I had. "Unfortunately, Cronk, we are stuck on the back row this round because of the Mage," Xander shouts as he prepares an attack on the Lancer from the front back row.
-
OOC: Should I have done 8 damage (weapon had 6 and horse is +1 and my cape is +1 as well)? And this is a noob question but can I use my potion on someone else in one turn, and would that count as my turn on the back row? Xander surveyed the scene, and it did not look good. Many of his friends were in need of healing; he would need to consult the others before making a decision on what to do next.
-
"If Galen does not require your assistance, I would be most grateful for your healing power Nerwen. I will instead attack the Lancer from the front row."
-
Xander felt the Lancer's weapon pierce his light armor and into his skin; the enemy was strong, but he felt the heroes would come out on top eventually. This round, however, he would have to heal himself. Taking a potion from his belt, he drank its contents from the back row.
-
Xander once again lunges at the Lancer, attacking him from the front row.
-
Xander whispered to Galen, "She's all yours if you need her; she'll run true and fast, just lead the way." Turning his attention to the group in front of the heroes, he unhooked the double-sided axe from his belt. Twirling it about, he aimed his attack towards the Lancer from the front row.

It was settled -- Xander would have to prepare for the inevitable showdown with Russel and the Emperor.
-
Quiet you, a magical shrinking horse is the closest thing I'm gonna get to a summon.
-
Xander overheard the tan ogre mention horses; he quickly glanced at the makeshift stable near the entrance to the fort -- his companion was grazing on some hay thrown out near the shack. "I have access to a horse; I may be able to bring one other hero with me, or most of the weapons the Emperor requested. If Russel is indeed heading towards the same way, however, it might be wise to bring more heroes. I am also willing to help defend this fort; I have prior experience that may prove useful."

OOC: Geez, don't log in for a day and a major plot twist with essays by Arthur and De'kra greet me. Many thoughts and emotions were running through Xander's head; he was not one to act on emotion, instead dealing with logic and nature's power. Xander recognized many faces, including Luke and Arthur; from experience, he knew these heroes to be good men and women. They were friends, and he could not attack friends. Arthur, however, seemed different-- although similar in appearance, Xander sensed a transformation in being which troubled him. Finally he began to speak, careful to hear the stories of each group. "It is obvious one or both of our groups has been deceived. If we are to get to the bottom of this problem, it might be wise to follow the tan ogre's plan. By mixing party members and splitting up, it ensures that neither group will be deceived again and allows the others to collect information that will paint a more complete picture."

It doesn't matter, the unique aspect just isn't there anymore in terms of blind packaging. And I think ACWWgal is entitled to her opinion; if she wants the line to end then so be it, no need to attack someone over an opinion that isn't hurting anyone. As far as my opinion, I do enjoy seeing what TLG comes up with next in the new series, but I'm also not a rabid collector that has to have every minifig. I usually just buy one or two from each series, my favorites. With army building, I think the line is a little more blurry. I'm not a fan of the 'do whatever makes you feel good' mentality, but most of the time army builders aren't preventing other people (specifically kids) from getting a figure so that's fine. When they cross the line in my opinion is when they refuse to give up a single fig to someone that doesn't have any and wants a specific one; I saw this the other day at Target when an older man refused to hand over a minifigure to a girl because he was army building; all I could do was shake my head. Sometimes there's more to life than collecting toys, and doing the right thing in that case I think would be putting your needs aside for a moment.

Yeah, but sometimes it seems to get lost in the conversations at the hall. This way there could be a central location where people could go if they want to buy an artifact without having to read 20 pages of posts they missed; it could be the same Artifact Marketplace thread, perhaps updating the first post with what's available (or just letting heroes post what they want in exchange).
-
Sandy, will this artifact marketplace be a place for the heroes to sell and/or trade their own artifacts to other players? It might be nice to have a trading post type deal set up once people start getting more artifacts.

"I feel the soldier will trust us more if we aid him in battle; however, wasn't one of our commands to not alert the lion knights of our presence? And Russel is not here...can he be trusted any longer?
-
Xander quietly moves towards the bundle of spears, heaving the package on his shoulder to carry to Drakencourt.
-
Xander looks for any items useful for barbarians. "I agree with Cronk, we should tread carefully. Remember there is someone here we cannot trust; keep your eyes open and your weapons at the ready."
-
Xander checked his supplies; he did not need anything from the vendor. "I am ready to travel to the fort," he mentioned as he adjusted the heavy hammer on his back.
-
Xander was ready to follow the group to the market; although he felt for the man that had had a run of bad luck, he would have coped with the situation differently. 'To each his own', he thought to himself.
-
Xander stood motionless as the stranger translated the papers they had found. What was described in the writing was unimaginable, torturing and killing innocents for a ritual steeped in evil mysticism; that another group of heroes from the hall were involved in this also worried him. Xander was ready to head to the docks; perhaps the fresh air would clear his mind.
-
Xander finds his way to De'kra, standing next to the shade. He was at the ready to assist any of his friends if things got out of hand; for now, though, he was content observing the people in the bar.
-
Pacing is fine by me, Jim. Sometimes I can only check in once a day so it's nice not to have to read 10 pages of posts.

Xander walks up to the man furiously scrubbing the floors; squatting down to his level, Xander kindly asks, "Need a hand?" OOC: That is what he's doing, right?
