How about a regressive scale for artifact wearing, i.e. levels 1-15 would be able to equip 4 (on different body parts), 15-30 could equip 3 and 30+ would be able to equip 2? This way it makes it slightly more feasible to have larger level gaps within groups and still make the enemies challenging for everyone.

It could certainly happen, just not anytime soon. As long as there are LOTR sets I think Kingdoms will be in hibernation; seeing as there are movies coming out until December 2013, I could imagine a "Kingdoms II" as you called it during the summer of 2014.

Xander finally was able to loosen the tight grip he had on his axe; these strange creatures were definitely not dead, so he decided to keep the axe at the ready just in case. He waited for one of the other party members to initiate conversation with the Rito -- he would simply listen. OOC: Apparently I don't even know my own weapons, thanks for the clarification Jim.
-
Xander, like the others, sensed the battle was nearing its end. Twirling the axe slightly between his hands, he targeted Flavius with an attack from the front row.
-
Xander heard the battle mage's plan and agreed with a nod; she sounded confident in her abilities...somewhat. Deep inside he felt a bit reluctant about the situation, but he managed to put on a brave face and winked at Nyx, bracing for a blow to his head.

"I will be fine, Sarick, the free hit should not harm me very much." Heeding the words of De'kra, Xander waits for the winged creature on the back row while preparing his axe for a counterattack in the next round from the front row.
-
Xander agreed with Nerwen, this battle needed to end quickly -- he followed her advice and attacked Flavius from the front row. OOC: Fine with me, I feel your pain about the seemingly slow moving pace and the lack of loot compared to other quests (feels like we've been on this one forever).

I've run into this problem quite a bit. It wouldn't be an issue for me if I only displayed LOTR sets, but I have the crownies castle set up along with the MMV and a couple other sets/mocs. I'm always looking to fill in the scene with peasants and other everyday folks, but I run into the problem of not being able to use some of the torsos I have because of the flesh tone around the neck. I'm a stickler for having absolutely no flesh tone on my yellow castle figs so I'm glad there is at least some new LOTR torsos like Gandalf's that I'll be able to use.

This may be a bit of 'your mileage may vary', but my local Books-a-Million has a decent number of board games on sale for $5. From what I remember the best deal is definitely Minotaurus, which has an original retail price of $20 or $25 I think. All of the other ones usually have a msrp of $10/$15 like Magicka and Banana Balance, which are still decent deals (~50% off).

OOC: Nah don't worry about replaying the last round, I'll let it slide this time since you're taking care of 50 bajillion quests at once. From here on out though I'll be using the axe, I'll be sure to state it next time. And the axe basically lets me roll again if the first roll is a Miss, thus "double-sided".
-
OOC: Did I miss both times with my axe last round? If so that's pretty bad luck. Xander noticed the winged creature return to the ground; he wasted no time, targeting Flavius from the front row with an attack.
-
OOC: Isn't 30 + 13 = 43? OOC #2: Congrats, Pandora, on the win at Brickworld! Sorry I'm late, I rarely check the front page. Xander followed Flavius with his eyes as he soared up in the sky; he would have to wait. Turning his attention to Denerii, he readied an attack from the front row.
-
Xander was locked in a battle with Flavius, repeating his action from the previous round.
-
Xander noticed De'kra aiming an attack towards Flavius. "Thanks for the help, friend," he said to the shade as he stepped in front of him. "I'll help you with Flavius, attacking him from the front row."
-
Xander repeats his action, hoping that Nerwen will heal him this round. "Do you think you cab take a free hit for the team this round, De'kra?"
-
I'm fine with De'kra not participating in this battle if it's for roleplaying reasons; we seem to have this one somewhat under control (just may take a fair amount of rounds to finish). If there's a boss battle coming up though... As far as in character goes, don't expect Xander to give any rousing speeches; it's not in his nature. Maybe the newly invigorated elf can.
-
Just wait till one of us gets KO'ed, then De'kra will fight out of guilt. And the way this quest is going I wouldn't be surprised about Nikolai.
-
You're throwing a wrench into this battle Tanma; hope you're not expecting exp. from this battle.
-
Xander responded to Nerwen, slightly dizzy from the blow the winged creature had dealt to him, "I would appreciate healing if you are up for it. I'm afraid with De'kra refusing to fight, they will score a free hit this round and any I need healing. My blows are more powerful than yours, so it will be more beneficial if I attempt to attack each round. As long as we fell one of the falcons quickly this scenario will not be a problem for long." With words out of the way, Xander repeated his action from the previous round.

Maybe there could be a Hall of Legends open only to a certain level (50 perhaps) where characters could mingle, buy certain items and sign up for quests only for them. Otherwise yeah it might be hard to balance battles when you have such a discrepancy in level. Oh I know, there would be a sculptor there and one of the "items" you could buy could be a statue made in your likeness, with the inscription of your liking (140 characters or less ).
-
Xander wanted to reason with the Rito, but it seemed they did not share the same sentiment. Unsheathing his axe, he aims an attack towards the Rito Tribesman Flavius from the front row.
-
I hope she returns before Halloween, I missed my chance to buy a gem.
-
Xander noticed the party bowing before the winged creatures, and he followed suit with a solemn bow of his head. He did not want to break the silence from Nerwen's introduction, though he was curious and of course ready for any action that may follow. Xander also noted he did not have the time to introduce himself to the new mage; he would have to do that after this encounter.

I wonder what would happen if we just turned back like they said. Another twist in the story perhaps?

I went to the Nashville opening about an hour after the mall had opened on Sunday; there was no line (walk in walk out with the minifigure collection). As far as which day to go, I would suggest going the day they give out the minifigs if you're into resell value. Because the minifigure collection is store exclusive while you can get the set at every opening, the resale price of the minifigs is much higher.
