  1. Yay! Another episode. *sweet* This one was great, with some real 'laugh-out-loud' moments for me. I especially liked the conversation between Cora and Lila and the end of Marcus' story. :-D All the characters can be confusing, but I think I've gotten a pretty good handle on who's who. Plus, everyone seems to be dying at a pretty regular pace, so I figure eventually there won't be as many similar characters. :-P Can't wait 'til the next one, whenever it is.
  2. What a lovely set. *wub* Thank you very much for the review, Doctor! What type of material is used for the sails? Does it have a similar feel as the Viking Longship sail?
  3. My guess would be because Hinckley is allergic to salt, and puffs up like a blowfish whenever his skin comes in contact with it. By the time he put on his diving suit, the ice cream was long gone. Devilish little dairy product. >:-(
  4. Nice interview guys! :-) Chuck, does this mean your name isn't really Charlie? ... I'd always assumed that was why you had your name changed. Whatever the reason, (or lack of) I think 'Chuck' is a much better name than 'Lego2000'.
  5. Tanotrooper, your picture is too dark to see the details. Could you please describe to construction or perhaps take another picture?
  6. Cool thread idea. The obvious ones that come to mind are the Indiana Jones movies. I was thinking about those when I got my first Johnny Thunder set. Some of my adventure creations were also inspired by the first Jurassic Park movie, Romancing the Stone, and the first half of King Kong.
  7. This looks very good, especially using just 'leftovers'. You've done a good job making the structure looking ruined, but I think your stones are a little too smooth looking. Maybe just exposing the studs here and there might make them look a little more weathered?
  8. Gorgeous! *wub* I really like the structure of this one, especially the high up drawbridge. The use of 1 x 1 cylinders and all those arches looks great, and reminds me a little of Darkspawn's creations. All of your windows cool, especially the ones in the roofs. The use of slopes in the landscape turned out very nicely I think, and like Hinckley said, everything looks very organic. The reddish plates around bottom is a neat touch. I also like your trees, which is something that could have been easily overlooked in such an impressive creation. *y* I think you should try an interior sometime.
  9. I never would have thought to combine those sets like that, and the look great together. :-) Great idea! *y*
  10. I wasn't entirely sure of what the poll was asking, so decided to vote purely by which of the two minifigures I prefer. I really like the figure of Johnny, and there's a few variations of him, which gives you a nice variety, but I voted for Indy in the end. Even though he's a fleshtone, his design is very nice, and his accessories are great, especially his hat and satchel. *wub*
  11. Wow, I think that looks great. My only suggestion would be to spread them out a little more, instead of having them all towards the bottom like that. Adding in a few tan bricks might look good as well.
  12. Another nice interview, lots of interesting information. :-) Doctor Sinister, I don't think I've actually replied to any of its threads, but I thought I'd mention I really enjoy reading your Grunts comics.
  13. I actually already did enter, and it made it into the voting round. [link] If you like my creation, I'd really appreciate your vote. But vote for the one you like... I personally think most of the final creations are better than mine. I'm pretty glad I made it at all.
  14. That's only what they want you to think. *vader*
  15. Whoops, sorry about that. Thanks for moving it, and for the comment. Thanks for the comment. I agree that it does look a bit plain in the front. I would have liked to add in a few grill pieces and such, but because of the way it's put together, I could only use 1 x 4s. I'm not sure if I understand your question. There are some propellors on the bottom of the ship. Would they provide any lift? I would think so, but don't really know. Thanks everyone for the comments!
  16. I'm not sure if some of these questions are directed at me, or just general questions, but I thought I'd point out again that this is not my creation. It's by the builder Falleen9.
  17. Hello! The contest on FBTB has prompted me to build my first ever steampunk creation; a steam A-wing. Brickshelf gallery: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=298535 Probably not of winning quality, but I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out. Comments and criticisms are welcome, please let me know what you think. :-)
  18. I like Blueandwhite's idea. Bulding a large version of a set is something I've wanted to do for a while. It could also be a contest open to all themes, which might get lots of entries.
  19. I just took the test again, and noticed they don't ask for an address... How do they know where to send the sets?
  20. Darn... none of them apply to me. I guess I'm not a true LEGO fan. *sad*
  21. I just now noticed this had been bumped back up. :-$ Thanks Sinner! This is actually one of the only models I've kept built for a long time after taking the photos. There are some pieces missing off the top, and some of the greeble pieces are gone, but it's still mostly intact.
  22. Nice interview guys! :-) Didn't you get a similar title after making Cliffton Castle?
  23. If you have the pieces for a roof like the bakery, I say go for it. I think either type will look fine, though.
  24. Wow, the improvement you have made since the first pictures is very impressive. The details you've added in the stonework are cool, and the tudor is very well done. I like that you've made the front into a porch, it really adds to the structure, I think. This is looking great so far!
  25. Thanks for the pictures of the inner construction. :-)
