  1. A really intimidating and different looking sea monster! I like the way you've posed him, the whole scene looks alive and quite traumatic. I kind of like the stone look it has, but if that's not really what you're going for, Sandy's suggestion for adding more colours is a good idea. Good use of those plant sprues!
  2. Good job on getting Nannan to do an interview, Stauder. I enjoyed reading about him. I like the live interview, because it allows for follow up questions and such, but as it is the format seems a bit jumbled to me. Have you tried cleaning up the interview at all, to make it easier to read?
  3. I wish they would include four dwarves, but like Hewkii pointed out, it only comes with nine figures, all of which seem to be pictured on the box.
  4. I originally wanted to make a small tank like vehicle, but ran out of time and had to use the motorcycle. I wish there was a way to attach a few more pieces, to make it look more beat up and put together, but I think it still fits the theme decently as it is. Yeah, I wanted everything to look barren and uninviting, which why I tried to avoid using bright colours or green plants. I think it would have looked really cool if I covered everything in snow, but I don't have the pieces to do so. Those are supposed to be some type of dead or decayed plants... I'm not entirely pleased with how they turned out, but that area looked boring without anything down there. (their design is borrowed from Legohaulic) Thanks for the comments everyone!
  5. Hello! This is my first attempt at a post apocalypse creation, built for the Picking Up the Pieces contest on flickr. Flickr Set Brickshelf Gallery (when moderated) Please let me know what you think!
  6. Heh heh, sorry. I actually meant the words in your user name.
  7. I always enjoy seeing your castles, and this one is my favourite yet. Excellent landscaping and vegetation... that tree on the right is particularly nice. The castle itself is a beauty, its shape is really cool and interesting looking, and the transition between the rocks and the structure is very nicely done. I also like the little drawbridge in the center, and the wooden hourd is a neat touch. Really, really great work. Thanks for sharing!
  8. I was very much reminded of LOST when I finished this episode.
  9. This is looking very nice so far, I Scream Clone. A very formidable landscape, and a great place for an evil wizard to build his tower. I think it was a good idea to add some grey highlights to your tower, because all black doesn't usually turn out very well in castles, and makes it hard to see any details. The grey looks kind of splotchy and unevenly distributed to me, though. I don't really have any suggestions to improve that, but perhaps just looking at the colour blocking in 6086 could give you some ideas. Have you experimented with different heights for the tower? I think adding a bit more height could look good. The landscaping and lava stream are my favourite parts of this creation. The plants are a nice touch, because they help give the landscape a bit of variety, but I think the green looks a bit out of place. If you can, I would recommend replacing them with brown plants, or at least get rid of those flowers. Another suggestion would be to replace most of the rock closest to the lava with black, to show that it has been burned. I look forward to seeing your finished project!
  10. Is there any particular reason for why you chose to misspell the words?
  11. A medieval Santa is a great idea. I'd like to see a figure with a white dwarf beard, and perhaps a red helmet.
  12. Well done Hinckley! I've really enjoyed this season, and I think you ended it very nicely. Good job with answering some of the major questions, but in the end creating some more to keep us guessing and excited for season two. I wasn't expecting the murderer to be who it was, though I guess it isn't entirely surprising either. Are you going to take a break before starting season two?
  13. Hello Jessica, your military themed creations should go in the Other Themes forum.
  14. I can't make it for the whole event, but will hopefully be there during the public hours on Saturday.
  15. This is a nice little house you have Keetong. The only thing I dislike is the way you've done the stone bottom. I would suggest at least making the sides symetrical, and continuing the arch supports down to the bottom of the base. You can find out how to resize and post your images here.
  16. This is a funny idea Jessica, and I think it could be pretty cool if you put some work into it. Perhaps try building a couple vignettes depicting Lucky John's unfortunate events?
  17. That's okay, I deleted the others for you. When ever something like that happens to me, I find that it's a good idea to check the forum to see if it's posted, because sometimes the topic or post is posted before your page fully loads. Sorry, I can't answer your question for you though. Here are the two sets, for those who don't know what you were talking about:
  18. Hey Joe, I've really enjoyed your stories, and am glad you plan to continue the adventures of the Unlikely Society. I agree with Hinckley a little as far as this episode, yet also found it amusing how simple it was to defeat the zombies, and think the story ended in a way that fit together with the rest of the comic.
  19. Hello Lord Doom. I've seen your posts around Classic-Castle, and really enjoy looking at your artwork. Welcome to Eurobricks! Hopefully you enjoy your stay here, whether or not you remember why you're here.
  20. Your video is pretty rough, but I suppose it gets the point out. I'm won't be able to come for the whole event, but I'll hopefully be there for the public hours on Saturday.
  21. Here's a link to the online catalog: http://shop.lego.com/ByCatalog/onlinecat.aspx?c=29
  22. Thanks for sharing Nyundi, but as mentioned, it's already been posted. You can see the discussion here.
  23. Neat thread idea! Apparently I'm the Tipper Truck in the bottom right of this picture:
  24. I've been referred to as both a weasel and a fox... I guess that isn't quite the same thing though. Welcome to Eurobricks!
