Since it leaves such an ugly gap, I'm not sure it's really worth the trouble for what you get in return... It's a neat idea though. I'm no expert on tudor buildings, but I'm pretty sure you're building your's wrong. I believe that the wood frames should be at least on the corners of the house, kind of like a type of brace, to keep everything else up. [example]

Is there any windshields you think would look better, yet fit in that area? I can't really think of any... although something like [this] in trans black might look good.

Your band has an account? Which band are you in? :-P

American football: I'm a big Denver Broncos It's hard to follow any futball, because it's so unpopular in America. :-( I tend to root for Liverpool, though.

Chuck has taken the lead!

I really like this one. :-) I'm impressed with what a complicated shape you've created in such a small creation... that it can fit a figure is quite impressive too... do you have to take apart the plane to fit him in? I like the use of minifig legs, but am not very fond of the color... have you tried going with just plain green? I don't like those money tiles. :-/ Do you have them in green with no printing, or maybe green grill tiles? (I'm not sure if those even exist, but if they do I think it would look good.) If not, I think it might look better with them completely removed. It's a neat idea, but I don't like it in this particular creation.

Congratulations on your win! Mark Twain isn't really one of my favorites of your figures, but I think you deserved to win. :-) I didn't say it earlier, but these are certainly some of the best historical figures I've seen.

Gungan Army for sale on eBay
Sir Dillon replied to Medievalego's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
Sorry, but FBTB doesn't allow you to link to ebay auctions in order to get a profit. They see it as advertising... *sad* Good luck with your auction! -
Here is mine:

I've heard the story a few times, although I'd always imagined it more outside, next to a tree. This version makes more sense, though. I really like the cobblestone street, and those tudor building are nicely built. The way the spectators are sort of gathering around is nice too. Overall, I think you have done a very good job capturing the scene. :-)

Killing the Dead Contest Semi-finals POLL
Sir Dillon replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I voted for XwingYoda and Cap'n Sly Owl. Yoda's is a funny idea, and looks very clean and well built. I really like Sly Owl's idea, and he executed it excellently! *wub* Thanks to Hinckley for hosting this fun contest! -
I say we take Hinckley's pay and use it to pay Jocko to not let Hinckley buy any Lego for a month... that would teach him. >:-) :-P
-
This is a very cool, simple creation. You've done a great job giving it that classic diner look. :-) The only think I'd suggest is to at least give it a back wall, that way you can't see the grass through the windows. ;-)
-
Heh heh... it's nice to know I'm not the only one who's heard 'sly' used that way. X-D
-
You're right, I should probably leave, because it is impossible to like more than one theme. :-P
-
But Hinckley doesn't have the power to add something like that, does he? Either way, I guess he's one of the main reasons that Sinner got it. Hinckley's hammer in that spot is great too. :-P

I voted 007, and they're tied again! :-P Great job to both of you!

Sly Owl asked for some a bit earlier in this thread. -
The Many Adventures of the Whacker and the Walrus issue #4
Sir Dillon replied to Hinckley's topic in Brick Flicks & Comics
Some possible spoilers below. I think this is my favorite episode to date. :-D The dialogue is very clever and funny... I like some of the very subtle jokes you've added, like "Oh right. Great... if you're into that sort of thing." :-P All the strange random moments in the comic are great too, like that Bonaparte get flushed down the toilet, and appears in the oven, or the troll chasing the girl on the bike down the street. X-D I find it hilarious that your characters notice things like that aren't normal, yet they don't really care. "I didn't realize a person could fit in a trash bin that size" ... "I don't think he's supposed to." The whole sequence at Gylman's was pretty funny. His diner and the haunted house were both very well built! Also, thanks for putting me in the comic. *wub* -
You shouldn't be ashamed of your vote, even if it's for Yoda! :-) :-P
-
Aren't they attracted to the red capes though? Or perhaps that is just some type of urban myth. :-/
-
I'm pretty sure that's just the lighting and angle. In this picture that I posted earlier it's clear that the wheels are on the ground.
-
Yeah, your vignette is great Lego-Freak. I love the different Sponge Bob faces. :-P
-
I like the bull... it looks like something you would see in a cartoon. :-D With the matadors, I like number two the most. However, since bulls are attracted to red, isn't it foolishness to be wearing red clothes also? ;-)

Uh, this is really up to you... 8-| If you want to use a Scala part, go for it.
