  1. That's pretty neat. :-) It seems you aren't the first person to come up with this idea, though:
  2. 56: When you come across this thread and say to yourself: "You can't love Lego too much!". :-P
  3. Another nice addition, Joebot! To be honest, I wasn't really upset about this death... I suppose I like the heroes you I can understand more... 8-|
  4. Very nice! The landscaping is very good, and I really like all the colors you've integrated into it. The mottling on the rocky slope and ruined tower is great as well.
  5. Ahh, thanks Tiber. I could've sworn there was another Unkownartist... Welcome to Eurobricks, Steve! :-)
  6. I actually wanted to build the chairs in this creation, but couldn't figure out how they were built, so I made my own version. (I have since figured out how he made them, and feel a little stupid that I didn't see it before... I like my design too, though) Thank you for your response, Sinner. I agree with you about taking pictures of large creations. I think the main reason these pictures turned out poorly is because of the tall tower... in order to get light on it, I had to position my lights further away from the creation, making everything a bit dimmer.
  7. Thanks for the comment. Yeah, this is long gone... Thank you. It doesn't really make sense to me for the romans to use a tunnel like that, but I suppose they could have...
  8. This is a beautiful creation! Your creative uses for pieces continues to amaze me. 8-
  9. I feel all warm and fuzzy inside just looking at this. *sweet* Haha. Very nice creation. I especially like the broken ice.
  10. You just can't follow instructions, can you? :-| :-P
  11. Right now your avatar is a picture that says "Avatar Problem", so it seems you or someone else was able to change it somehow... Anyway, this might help some: http://eurobricks.hosting.ipsyn.com/eurofo...showtopic=12830
  12. Pity... perhaps sometime it'll be released in black, so then you can use it. ;-)
  13. Ah, it's neat to see you're still working on this. :-) From what I can see it looks nice... 8-|
  14. I'm not really sure how or why I got my title, but I like it. The strange thing is I'm not very good with photoediting, though... maybe it was meant to be ironic?
  15. Wow! That is really impressive. 8-
  16. Thank you very much for the nice reply, Frisian. You're right... the scale of the creation is a bit small, especially that left tower. I could've made it a bit more accessible by making the walls one brick thick, but wanted to you slopes on the battlements, and in the end chose looks over practicability. Looking back, I think I could've used inverted slopes below the battlements, giving it a bit more room. There actually is a trapdoor and a ladder in it, but technically the minifig would need to hover in the air in order to open it. Thanks. I tried very hard not to use those premolded wall pieces, and as a result used up basically all my grey bricks. The chair is built upside down, with two of these on top of a tile. The top tile is just held in by friction. Thank you Bonaparte. Is there anything in particular you'd like to see a close up of? I don't think I'll be able to take any more pictures of this, but I might. There's a picture of the top with the interior open, but I didn't think to take one with the interior closed. :-/ Thanks for all the replies, guys! *sweet*
  17. I think he just uses Google... 8-|
  18. :-D Or maybe just make smoke rising out of the top of the tree.
  19. Well, putting 'WW1' into Brickshelf comes up with some stuff... Planes: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=163995 http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=280962 http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=240759 http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=207238 (that last one is my favorite) Tanks: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=260343 http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=222448 http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=1789546 And then the one you've already seen, by Pepik. Hopefully this helps you some. BTW, Stauder, that picture you posted is very neat.
  20. Thanks for the replies, guys. :-) I'm glad the pictures are okay for you, Tiber. I suppose they're better than worse, but they're still a little too dim and yellow than I would like. DNL: Thanks! Getting a 'nice landscaping' comment from you means a lot. Ahrg! :-| I thought I was forgetting something... I didn't even include a fireplace! Thanks for pointing that out. I don't think I can add one easily enough for me to try to add one on this, but I'll certainly try to remember one for my future creations. A secret entrance would be very cool, but almost all the rocks are filled with bricks for structural reasons, so I don't think I can add one in this... I'll try to remember that, too. ;-) Thanks again for the comments.
  21. Hello! Here is my latest creation, Rewnsill Outpost: I'm not particularly pleased with how the pictures turned out, but it's the best I can do at the moment. [Gallery] Comments and criticisms are appreciated. Please let me know what you think! :-)
  22. A very nice creation, Athos. I really like the mottled ground, and you have done a good job with the execution stand. The various cracks and dents in the wall look pretty good as well. I do think this could benefit from a few more onlookers, though.
  23. Wow, thanks for all the comments, guys. *sweet*
  24. Some very nice creations all around, Jordan, but I can't help but think you can do better with some of them. The Black Plague: A cool looking scene. The wreckage is done very nicely, although I don't really understand what those two grey guys are doing... :-/ Had they been searching the wreck for valuables? What I don't like about this creation is the fire; Instead of a few very tall strands, I think it would've looked better to have lots of lower flames. I also think there should be some black or grey minifig bodies in there, not just skeletons... maybe black skeletons if you have them. Snow White: Your re-use of those tree hands fits great in this one, and I like the mosaic of the house in the distance. On the whole though, the creation looks unfinished to me. The way the trees only go in looks odd, since the hands go out over the baseplate. I think you need to add more branches, and possibly some leaves on the trees. Black Falcon's pilgrimage: It's a fine looking scene, but a bit boring. The landscaping around the bridge looks nice, and the tree is well built, although it looks too tall to me. The 2-wide roof over the well looks odd... it should be three or five wide, I think. Barn: The landscaping and plants look great in this one, but the messed up tudor on the barn irritates me. Is there and reason in particular why you didn't try to fix it? (I'm not going to go over why it's wrong, because ImperialShadows explained it well in the other thread.) The use of your 1 x 1 slope technique looks good, anyway. Slayed Dragon Festival: The inner part of this one looks great, and I really like the way you did the hanging flags. The landscaping is also nice. It seems like you got lazy with the outer part though... like others said, it looks thrown together and a little unfinished. Bakery and Mill: This is definitely my favorite of the bunch. The landscaping again, is good, and I like the approach for the mottled wall. The mill looks good, too. Everything is nice and cozy looking. The tudor again, though, annoys me. I also don't really like the large flags, but that's merely a personal preference. Overall, I think these are some nice creations. I can't really say if I think these will win until I can see all the entries... if any of them do win, I think it would be the Bakery.
  25. Thanks RTLG, I'm glad you like it. :-) I don't think there was a set with this name, but there was one called Camouflaged Outpost... that might be what you're thinking of.
