  1. Since I was targeted by both the scum and the arsonist, that should pretty much clear me. I've been trying to get town working together, so all town with roles contact me with what you know.. I have some info already from a few people and want to get things together.
  2. Here is the information for the Japanese Red Cross, if you're feeling charitable. Personally, I haven't donated to charities much before, but I'm going to give $100 or so. Even $10 would make a difference if lots of people gave. A lot of work is needed to clean up the Tohoku region. Japanese Red Cross http://www.jrc.or.jp/english/relief/l4/Vcms4_00002070.html Google's crisis response, which offers other donation options. http://www.google.com/intl/en/crisisresponse/japanquake2011.html
  3. Because Edgar was claiming a town role. They don't know who has town roles, so they could either randomly block someone, or guaranteed block someone with a defensive role. Make sense now?
  4. There could be: one town blocker, and one scum blocker. We're in a tricky situation here.
  5. I'm inclined to believe Lazlo. Lauren has been incredibly shaky in her opinions. I think it's too late to change my vote and steer it to him/her, but I urge the investigator to check Lauren and contact Whitefang! megablocking rules about a single unvote. Fucks up the flexibility of our votes. It's pretty crazy to have so many protectors.
  6. Your choice. Bob isn't guaranteed scum, just an educated guess. Do what you will...
  7. Vote: Bristal Bunny/Bob No evidence, just what I've heard. I have to take a nap now, so I wanted to help get things going before I sleep.
  8. I'm really, really convinced of Edgar Elephant's non-scum position. He took a concrete position as the anti-arsonist, and the arsonist struck last night. So, he's borderline cleared. If you have a town role, particularly the investigator, please let Edgar know. He's very safe bet. And then true town can start to kill off the scum in our ranks. And now, the Meta Report! I've been doing a lot of PMs in the last few days, so I'll generally address them now: 1) I've been somewhat drunk this week. I'm finishing my job after seven years, and its been a weird emotional rollercoaster. Plus the disaster this week. So some PMs have been better than others. 2) I forgot, cause I'm hungover. Sunday, Sunday... But, for today, I won't be voting for the lamb. I have no reason to.
  9. Yes, no worries. It was a different region than mine. I'm safe, and more importantly, Helen Hippo is safe too!
  10. The village should have a bodyguard/protector of sorts, and it's a shame that Booker didn't get it. I would rather Booker wasn't burnt to a crisp. Wouldn't you?
  11. At the very least, I'm surprised by this... His targeting and the reveal that he was on the side of this village. But, I suppose to the many meta-gamers villagers here, he was a threatening presence. Unfortunately, he didn't get the village bodyguard.
  12. def is alright, his family is alright.... For good info about the tsunami, check the wiki page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2011_Sendai_earthquake_and_tsunami It's not the worst tsunami ever, but it is about the worst earthquake the country has ever had. I have a few friends around the region worst hit, Sendai and Iwate, and they were shaken but safe. It's going to take a few days to figure out all that's gone wrong. We can be thankful that we live in the modern era, and building regulations in Japan are stringent at this point, and the country is about as earthquake-proof as you can while still having high-rise buildings. Compared to the Kanto quake near 100 years ago which took over 100,000 lives in the disaster after. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Kanto_Earthquake) So, it's a tragedy, but nothing as horrible as what happened in Haiti before, where the earthquake was smaller, but the damage far far greater. My heart goes out to those in trouble though. My friend was away from his wife, and had no phone connections for hours, it would be hard not to panic. The staff at my work place spent much of the afternoon trying to get in touch with people. Crazy day.
  13. there's a tsunami warning for my area, but I suppose it's the same for the Philipines. Be careful!

  14. Would you ask Da Vinci when his next painting is coming?
  15. I suppose I'll go with the men to the doctor's office.
  16. No, I've never reviewed there, but I noticed that with Amazon. I sent in 3-4 positive reviews and had them posted, then a negative one, and it didn't. Then I received e-mails asking for reviews of Lego sets I bought there. I never took the time to compose anything for them again. I'm sure there is a webmaster whose job is to be a troll detector, and if you had a strong base of positive reviews built up, they'd let it in, but they need to be conservative overall for the sake of it.
  17. I'm a few hundred kilometers away from the earthquake, so no problems here, thanks for checking ;)

  18. Thanks I want to point out that the vote for Edgar initially was not done with confidence of his guilt, it was done to spur the town into action, and see how everyone was thinking about this situation. I'm sorry it almost got poor Edgar killed. Imagine, I place a single vote, and go for a stroll, and when I come back, he was nearly convicted. Absolutely astonishing. It seems there is more than one sheep here. I actually have some deep suspicions at this point, Brigit Bunny being one I've said before (I'm only repeating this since its on record, and I didn't see her address the points I made), but others seem even more suspicious, and I've confided to a few others I feel are somewhat trustworthy who they are. My suspicions could well be wrong, but that vote for Edgar really did give us a lot of starting ground to put things in perspective, rather than just sitting around waiting for a bunch of us to get cut up or burned on night one. Brigit, feel free to explain your logic here either in public or in private: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=52795&view=findpost&p=942661
  19. I think that even with what experience we've had, this sort of deva vu we're suffering, I think we are in an interesting position. Some are being aggressive, some are being conservative, some are being bandwagoners, some are being resolute. None of it means much at the moment, but we'll be a step closer after the first night's fallen, as those of us who can help us at night will do so, and those evil among us will target who they will. Hopefully we will get something we can use. Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray...
  20. Said the wolf sheep.
  21. Your reasoning is certainly nothing like mine. I voted Edgar because I found his behaviour off of what it usually was, and there was a need to feel out the players. Your vote for me is because I am "as good a person to with"? No, scum don't usually start a vote on the first day, and you should know that. Then, lightly threatening me that you won't take your vote off of me because I find you suspicious? Even more suspicious. Revenge voting is a bad tactic. Again, you should know this. We're looking for scum, not flinging mud around, as much as I love rolling in the mud. You're just sounding scummier and scummier...
  22. Of the votes against me; one is from a relative newbie to the village, who votes with his heart, not with his mind; another is from a long timer, who regularly shows incredibly poor judgment in these situations; and the third is from a great tactician, who knowing Edgar was innocent, could "justifiably" throw a vote at poor little Helen here... Oh, that third voter is oh so suspicious.
  23. Nope, 13 votes are needed. Check God's rules.
  24. Well, you have the choice of doing nothing day one. Or, starting a vote for somebody, and seeing how people react. I was a little suspicious of Edgar at first, but over a series of private discussions with him, he seems to be genuinely on our side, so I unvoted him. I find it surprising that during a little nap, he got up to 12 votes! Did 11 others really find him equally suspicious? Now Brigit Bunny's vote for me, that is suspicious too... The timing, no reasoning... This Hippo's going to take another nap in the mud. Try not to snowball a vote for me while I'm sleeping, please.
