I really love the Asian teams. being able to produce villagers while you age up is a major bonus, and the monuments you build kick megablocks. The Indian ones, where you can slow down opposing armies, or the Chinese one which consistently builds armies, make late game offensives near unstoppable. The early game can be tough with them though. I played with almost all the armies, and they all have their interesting quirks, like the natives being able to possess treasure guardians, or the Dutch building villagers with gold. And with the home shipments, a few games with one team gives great advantages. I liked the Russians and the Turks least, they seem cheap and ineffective. For building up levels, I got into a habit of playing eight team free for alls, so I can wipe out 5-6 of the other teams while they focus on each other. Great game, I've spent way too many hours on it, but at least it's better than TV.

I'm sure he's getting around to it, but an updated list of alignments would clarify things... Though I think QM was the only scum cleaned up.

yes, blabbed I had, it was a regrettable late night move, based on a poor reading of a PM I'd gotten from Rick. I was seriously embarrassed about that luckily Rick was on my team... Though I was doubtful about that later on in the game...

Hubris, hubris...

I was a watcher, not a tracker Rick having to explain this to me wasn't helpful

Not if you want to play mafia. For observers, sure.

No worries, I just expect to be hearing about about inconsistencies well through to Jan 2013 at this point There's a reason I wrote 'inconsistencies' and not inconsistencies, since the host's rules are their prerogatives, and I accepted them as they came along. You stayed true to what you had planned before the game, and you were consistent in that framework. I do think I should have been given my results on the basis that I was revived though, but that's my prerogative, but that situation would never come up in my game, since I would never use revivals That's another of those 'blame Hinck!' moments I had Why did I know that? Not my fault.
-
I have to say, I was really disappointed (though not annoyed) when Hinck repeated his repeated mantra that Bloodbrick was inconsistent in his bio. In the conclusion of that game, I laid out the starting rules of it, and they were 100% consistent with what I'd designed beforehand. Now, seeing the night actions, I see that Hinck at least doubled the 'inconsistency' with this game, but he still felt compelled to throw that in. I'm willing to accept that mafia hosts are, at base, a bitter lot, but I'll try my best to not bring it up again in the future. Let this be a lesson to all EB members: admin, fellows, whoever, we're all capable of hubris.

I can't get no...Hippo Action! A bizarre fusion of my love for The Rolling Stones and hippos... Though I thought it was a Devo reference at first.

No worries, it's fine That was around the time I asked to be taken out of the game. Under normal circumstances, I would have taken it a lot better. For me too, this was my biggest PM game. I racked up pages and pages with people. That was part of the frustration of being lynched. I had been aggressively town the whole game, in thread but especially in PMs, and there was evidence to show I was town (helping lynch Zepher and Shadows) but that reading trumped everything for my teammates. Oh well, it's all spilt milk now.

I can honestly say that this was the least fun mafia game I've ever played...though it's not the host's fault. on top of that, that was about my most unsatisfactory death since I started playing. Killed at night, sure, but betrayed by my own teammates? Looking at those early days, you'd have to question why they would even want to recruit me The guy having an online meltdown is not a good choice of a recruit. I've already apologized to most of those I need to, and can't remember who else I need to... Luckily, I deleted the furious PM I was going to send to Cornelius Murdock... Murdock, you were driving me crazy with your PMs. Also, I was happy to see Rick and Draggy die, since they lynched me. Maybe if I had been still alive, scum would've had to adjust their strategy I liked: -the depth of the photos, they filled out the story nicely. -there was/is lot's of confusion about the killers. For whatever reason, we assumed the arsonist was the serial killer, but he wasn't? Still don't know what was up. I didn't like: -revivals, not my thing -the janitor role. It took away a lot from town's ability to sort things out by not knowing if a conviction was successful. I should read up more on how and why that's used, but as is, it's not my thing. -two bakers. I initially contacted ISC thinking I worked for him. He didn't have any clue what I was talking about. -no Helen statue. She deserved one So, it was a good 'all-star' game, but bad timing for me. Two more things. I like riddles for hints, but most of them were simply a matter of a Google search, which isn't so good. I think Hinck was trying to adjust the difficulty each day, but... And the number of times I had to write "blame Hinck" in PMs... Why was I allowed to watch myself? Don't know, blame Hinck. Why did my results change halfway in the day? Blame Hinck. There were a few more. I was exasperated. It's his damn game, why would I know what he's thinking I look forward to the big recap, and get some rest, Hinck

These are great! I particularly like the Vader fig. You really managed to get a mechanical feel to it. The other details, like the lightsaber and the jet pack are great too. Really impressive.

I've got to agree, the flashback is a good thing. Unnecessary in a mafia game, but it's these unnecessary things that make a game really stand out -
Brilliant flick. It transposes a 40's detective flick onto a modern California high school. Really bizarre fusion, it's magnetizing. It's also part of the reason Joseph Gorden Levitt got his job in Inception and in Batman 3. Watchmen isn't as watchable as I'd like it to be, but it was fairly loyal to the impeccable book it came from. So it's very good as a whole, but not a great flick. I watched Spider-man 3 today (while I did other stuff) since it was going to be on TV tomorrow night. It's frustratingly bad. There are some good points about it, but it's simply a lumpy movie. It's frustrating, since I love Spider-Man, and I love Sam Raimi, and I know Raimi loves Spider-Man. But the movie is a turd. This is my third or fourth time watching it, and I predict I will watch it another three times before I die. The first hour, with the Goblin fight and the Sandman transformation are genuinely good though.

These are both really nice! You've gotten a lot of mileage out if your Toy Story sets.

I was going to apologize for bringing up the term fuckwit in the first place, which Hincky seems to truly love, but then I reread that thread again, and saw where the professor tried to take credit for my lynching in Eurodina (credit actually went 100% to Stash and Sandy)... So, it's okay

I thought you went crazy when your wife died. If you paid $300 for a gnome, you were obviously crazy before that.
