Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
astra replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
Who knows... maybe TLG decided to release the new modulair on the 31st of December. :-) that would offer an explanation as to why it isn’t on the January calendar... We’ll know more on monday! -

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion

I know it's a long shot, but since Lego surprises us every year with a building that not a lot of people would have guessed, how about an 'inverted' corner building..? Sure, it would take a lot of space on the 32x32 baseplate, probably no back 'garden', but it sure would be nice and a big surprise. Can't wait until the next one is revealed! -

I sincerely hope not. I'm not really fond of re-releases and think there is a ton of building types we haven't seen (postoffice, police station, museum, what not). So: please don't Lego. -

wow! That's one really beautiful Testarossa! I really like how you captured the doors with the blades, instantly recognizable! -

@kbalage Very nice video! Liked the comparison! -
Last year I bought the Brixo starter kit via Kickstarter. However, a lot of things came in between and I haven't had the time to start experimenting with it. And won't have in the foreseeable future I'm afraid.. So, I want to sell my Brixo starterkit. The starter kit is a lot like the Inventor kit ($99, see http://brixotoys.com/our-kits/) which is currently for sale, only with 68 parts instead of 78. The set is complete and brandnew; never used and never opened. Asking price is €50, plus P&P (I can ship anywhere in the world, contact me for shipping costs). If you have any questions, or want to see some pictures, just let me know

How about those leakers took the time to read the rules here? It was posted over and over again: no leaks, no spoilers, keep the surprise, keep the good bond between EB and the TLG intact. How hard can it be? Sure, post it on Reddit as much as you like. But over here, the rules are quite simple I thought. -

What I'm curious for right now, is this set already flying off the shelves in the stores, like with the Millennium Falcon or is the demand lower? Someone been to a physical store to pick one up? -

That's something that Lego could integrate in the building process; connecting the motor to the tub with 14 friction pins (for example). Would add a nice detail to the overall building experience. And to be honest, I can imagine that Lego would do such a thing! -

Seeing the pictures, especially the rear of the car, makes me want to have the set even more. If I look closely, it looks like there are two black 'handles' between the seats and the center console. Maybe that controles the spoiler or something? Or it's just wishful thinking... Can't wait to the official presentation, hope that the packaging is similar to the Porsche (although the box on the photos looks like a regular one), with lots of nice details, an interesting book with extra information and emphasis on building the Chiron, like the 'marriage' of the chassis and body on the Porsche' set. My only doubt; am I going to buy it straight away, or wait until a shop comes with a discount... -
[REVIEW] Wicked Brick - 75192 - Millennium Falcon Stand
astra replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Thanks for your review! I'm still in doubt whether to buy this stand (with P&P it is ± €85,00), Bricklink the Efferman displaystand or to leave my MF the way it is... Maybe I should wait until your next review is posted. How many stands are you going to review? -
2 weeks ago I bought the Millennium Falcon and every night I've built one numbered set of bags. Today was the last set and the Falcon is finally finished Now comes part two; finding a spot to place this monster of a set...

I got the email that my 75192 Millennium Falcon was available, so picked that one up! After two hours of building, the parts from bag one are done

Technic 2018 Set Discussion
astra replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
You're probably right, and since the Falcon is still in high demand (still sold out everywhere) I can imagine that some experts @ Lego are thinking about such a set for Technic, or other themes... -

Looking at the train 'leaks' there's only one thing that's giving me doubt about a new wireless system (wifi or BT) and that is lack of the IR notch from the receiver that we usually see on Lego trains. I can't see it? So maybe there will be a new wireless control system, but then again, they are preliminary images... -

My box doesn’t have the ‘expert’ text as well. Maybe that’s the new standard? -

That was my understanding too about the hotel; first thing that came to my mind was "ah, so in the next iteration or maybe the one after that, we will have a proper hotel". As far as judgement concerned, I recognise what you are saying and think that it has a truth in it, but not every AFOL is the same (although I never visit AFOL events, due to what you mentioned), and most of it comes out of enthusiasm about what the reasons behind some things are. On a side note; can't wait to see a DD XL! -

Thanks for this second video! Nicely done and informative! Makes me eager to buy the set and motorize it as well, including the trailer. -

Maybe, maybe not. Only TLG knows... :-) But on a side note, this does gives credibility to the list of leaked (?) set numbers, pieces and prices. So fingers crossed about the rest of this list!
